Sunset House Inc – Palm Beach Gardens Detox and Rehab Services

The provision listed at Sunset House Inc – Palm Beach Gardens is residential treatment. The right level of care is a clinical judgement rather than a preference, and an assessment should produce a defined answer.

The listing records a single focus rather than combined treatment, so anyone needing both should confirm what is available. Approved medication is paired with counseling and regular review. I came from the First Responder Shatterproof program to the Sunset House Recovery / Meadows Counseling Center in Palm Beach Gardens. The transition was integrated and in-sync with the care I received from Shatterproof… allowing me to capitalize on my journey efforts to recovery. I was really impressed by how much the Sunset / Meadows staff cares for the well-being of the residents. This isn’t the “big box” type of centers where it’s easy to get lost in the mix. The staff here took the time necessary to develop a solid relationship with me and my goals of getting back on track to a healthy life. The residential areas and clinical services are great and well-suited for those struggling with addiction. The setting really helped me to become more confident in myself. I have gone through recovery attempts in several treatment centers in my struggle for sobriety and I know what it feels like when you’re not a part of your own recovery process. When you are merely going through the motions without realistic assessments or goals. Sunset / Meadows has allowed me to be a part of my process in a healing manner that is well-rounded and thorough. I would 100% recommend this treatment center for continued care of those who are struggling to find a proper program.

I was very impressed with Sunset House and Meadows Recovery Center. I recently received treatment at the facility and I can honestly say that the experience was informative and rehabilitative with my struggles with… alcohol addiction. The Center provided a safe comprehensive program where I came to know and more fully appreciate the issues I needed to deal with. They also gave me the necessary tools to have a positive recovery and avoid the pitfalls in life that would lead to relapse. I left Sunset House persuaded and encouraged to forge a healthy path for me and my loved ones. I can’t say enough about how great the experience was.

I cannot recommend Sunset House Recovery and The Meadows Counseling Center enough for their exceptional care and commitment to supporting first responders and military service members. As someone who has personally… experienced the unique challenges of this profession, I can truly say that their holistic approach to mental health and recovery is transformative. The team at Sunset House Recovery has created an environment where you feel understood, respected, and supported every step of the way. They truly cater to the needs of first responders and veterans, focusing on not only the mental health aspect but the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of their clients. The staff's dedication and experience with the unique pressures that come with service are evident in everything they do. The Meadows Counseling Center offers top-tier, personalized care. Their team understands that the road to recovery is not a one-size-fits-all approach, and they take the time to craft a tailored plan that addresses the whole person. The combination of therapy, support groups, and holistic practices provides a well-rounded healing experience that I haven’t found anywhere else. Both facilities truly care about those who serve and protect our communities and country. The environment is warm and welcoming, with people who understand what it means to be a first responder or service member. If you're looking for a place that offers compassionate, comprehensive, and specialized care, these two centers are the best in the business. Thank you, Sunset House and The Meadows, for all that you do!

I cannot say enough positive things about Sunset House. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and supported by both the staff and residents. The environment is structured yet compassionate, which was exactly what I… needed to rebuild my life. The staff genuinely care about each individual’s recovery journey, providing guidance, accountability, and encouragement every step of the way. The facilities are clean, comfortable, and designed to foster a sense of community and growth. The house rules and expectations are fair, ensuring that everyone has a safe and sober environment to focus on their goals. One of the aspects I appreciated most was the emphasis on personal responsibility and building life skills, from maintaining a routine to pursuing employment or education. The group meetings and peer support created a sense of camaraderie and understanding that made me feel less alone in my recovery.

This is my second time coming to Sunset House Recovery, if you are “really wanting to get/stay sober” then this is the place for you as I highly recommend them! The facility has therapists who really care about your… sobriety/mental health and work with you one on one to give you the absolute best care for you as an individual person and it’s a great community setting as well! Thanks Sunset House for all you do!!💯😀

I will always hold this place in my heart it has given me a chance at a real life. All of the staff actually care about what happens to me.the best part is we got to the bottom of the reasons I used in the first place… and how to deal with life on life's terms.

I came into Sunset House with about 5mo of sobriety and looking for the next level of care to transition into normal living again. This place was exactly what I needed, the community was immediately welcoming and the… staff was quick and willing to answer any questions or concerns. They have a level system which I found discouraging at first but understood the necessity for it which I quickly adapted to to gain more perks at the place and it also allowed me to help other clients just starting off. The groups were allowed to be influenced by the clients rather then just listening to what the facilitators had for the day. The rooms were nice and cleaned weekly by "US". Sunset helped me to continue my recovery by relearning responsibilities of an adult, establish a support group and encouraged me to continue growing in AA. Thank you so much staff, today I celebrate 1yr of continuous sobriety thanks to y'alls help on my new journey.

In my opinion this is not the place to stay if you want to get better. They are extremely intrusive for no reason and they like to try and control every part of your life. They will search your room and some of the… staff are extremely unprofessional in my opinion. The basically locked me in a room and tried to berate me. One of the so called therapists Mattew told me he will never be in my position when he reaches my age. He was very aggressive. Then he tells me he was charged with 5 Felonies. Not a person I would take advice from. It's very stressful to live there or it was for me and I'm so happy to have moved on.in my experience this is a horrible place to live from what they did to me. There are a few other people that told me they didn't like it either but won't say anything.

Recovering from addiction is not easy l needed help and found it at Sunset House. Richard Chapman.

Sunset House is a great extended care program for men. They have a great longstanding reputation. The team of guys over there treat the men in their program like family and offer them a variety or recovery support… services. Frank Galimidi, the Program director, is awesome and brings his years of experience and dedication to running this program. Scott Belovicz is a man I have trusted for years in the recovery treatment space, he is your point person if you or a loved one is exploring the possibility of going to Sunset House.

I am a mother whose son went to Sunset House Recovery. During that time, I found counsellors to be extremely knowledgeable and helpful. This is an effective and very caring program. I cannot express how grateful I am… for their efforts. I find it sad and unfortunate that anyone would post a negative review under another person's name.

As someone who's been to Sunset house, let's just say more than once, I think I am most qualified to judge the program. The people there really care about you. It's more than just a halfway house, if you're going there… expecting a flophouse then this is not the place for you. There are groups, and rules, and individual therapy meetings that you are required to attend. Do the right thing and this place will help you beyond your wildest dreams. People do screw up and relapse but that's just the nature of the beast. They are more than willing to help you after and this doesn't depend on whether they "like you or not" it depends on the willingness you've shown previously. If you're trying and doing the right thing, Sunset House will bend over backwards to help you. George there has been a godsend in my life. He's helped me through many a rough patch and never turned his back on me. Even since I graduated the program we still keep in touch and sometimes he calls me just to see how everything's going. That's the level of care that they have for the clients there. I don't need to defend George's past, but let me say that what the previous review mentioned is simply not true. I knew George even before my time at Sunset House. He's a great person and does everything the right way. If you're looking for a place to just lay your head and not follow a program or do the things necessary to live a sober place, then there are many other places you can look. If your serious about wanting to change your life though, Sunset House is the place for you. They can't force feed sobriety down your throat, but if you're willing to do the work, the help is here. Go after it. Thank you to Mike, George and everybody at Sunset. Some of my biggest sober supports now are even former techs that worked there during my time. I give an A+ to Sunset House
