Ashley, is an incredible therapist! She has helped me tremendously in my life in such a short period of time. I have more confidence, healthy boundaries, and healthier relationships. I continue to see her on a weekly… basis as I continue to better myself. I highly recommend her and HBH.

I cannot speak highly enough of HBH and their therapists. I’ve been working with my therapist, Bethany, for years now and she has changed my life for the better. She is always actively trying to help me improve my way… of thinking by means of action and not just talk therapy. She’s always adaptable to my needs depending on where I’m at during my sessions and allows me the space I need to safely navigate my emotions. I’ve never once felt judged during any of my ups or downs. I’ve worked with many therapists growing up, and finding her was such a blessing and nothing short of a miracle. Not to brag (just kidding I’m totally bragging), but I definitely have the best therapist anyone could ever ask for. I’ve also been in a variety of their groups that are run by other therapists in the practice and each counselor has been engaging and passionate about what they do. Their groups are informative, supportive, and respectful. HBH genuinely cares for their patients . I’ve never had a negative experience with them. If you’re looking to change your life for the better, this is the place you’ve been searching for. I absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for help.

I have found this practice to be extremely effective for my needs and extremely professional in doing so. I would highly recommend this group if you are looking for an empathetic, knowledgeable and trustworthy… therapist. The virtual appointment has allowed me to connect when otherwise it would be too far for a weekly session. I cannot fully express my gratitude for their service.

I appreciated their candor in telling me they felt I needed someone more qualified to help me with my needs, but that was definitely a clear way for them to not have to deal with the legal issues I am facing. And I made… that clear during the in-take questioninig over the phone before my first session.

Honestly, I haven’t seen or met all of the therapists that work at HBH but the therapist I was seeing was.. an awful fit for me and it has been a terrible experience. I saw her for quite a while, years, actually and… it’s been nothing but rocky, unreliable, and unhelpful and in some cases made me feel worse and not because of the “work” required during therapy but because of… bad therapy all together from the therapist I was seeing. I should have left long ago. I will admit that there were some good sessions but the bad outweighs the good in this case. The groups, however, were helpful.

As a treatment provider, I have referred many clients to HBH. They are the real deal. I've met many of their therapists and can assure you that they are highly skilled/trained in their areas of expertise. They do it… all: groups, individual, family, and more. This is not a cookie cutter model- they tailor fit treatment to the client's individual needs. Would recommend.

It has taken me along time to find the right therapist. They are wonderful and have help me so much. You call them and return the call and put you with the right therapist for you. That mean so much is to have someone… that is the right fit for you. If you are looking for therapist this is the right place to look.

I was referred to Melissa McDonald by another well respected therapist in Monmouth County. She has worked with my husband and I for more than 1 year and I have nothing but praise for her clinical skills. I have worked… professionally with a couple of therapists in her practice and believe Melissa has carefully cultivated a positive therapeutic environment for both individuals and groups. Melissa has consistently provided insightful feedback, encouragement to promote change and a non-judgmental setting which enables clients to communicate safely about difficult issues. My husband and I have been in therapy intermittently for quite some time w other providers and the treatment we receive at HBH is consistently professional and based on sound, evidence-based therapeutic interventions. I have recommended the practice on several occasions, which I haven't been comfortable doing in the past with other providers. Great therapists are extremely hard to find and my husband and I are grateful for the opportunity to work with Melissa.

My sessions with my therapist at HBH are the highlight of my week no matter what mood I’m in. I’ve been going to HBH for a little over a month now and it’s the first time I’ve ever spoken to a professional. The most… important thing for me when deciding to go to therapy was that I liked who I was talking to - and my therapist is really awesome. Having the profiles online was helpful because I was able to read about each individual therapist and pick who I thought would work for me. 5 stars from me for HBH :)

I would never recommend this place to anyone. From the day I walked in there I made it very clear what my goals were… And after six weeks of appointments they finally told me they would not be able to help me. They… basically strung me along for six weeks taking my money knowing full well they would not be willing to help me with my issue. Months after I stopped going there… Without my knowledge, they charged my debit card again for another 150+ dollars of what they claim to be fees I owed them and because I was not notified about those fees being charged it overdrafted my account and cost me hundreds of more dollars in fees. I called and left messages to try to fix the situation and they did refund partial of the money!! Partial!! With no care for all of the extra fees they caused me because of their negligence. They are not to be trusted.
