Before insurance, typical prices in Pennsylvania put standard outpatient care at $1,200 to $5,000 a month. Makin Wellness’ own fees were not found at the time of writing, so the figures describe the state as a whole.

My therapist is so caring and supportive here. Makin wellness has helped me reduce my stress and anxiety so much and I highly recommend them!
Very easy to be seen with minimal wait time, which I really appreciated. Pricing was transparent and clearly explained upfront. The therapist was amazing — kind, attentive, and truly made me feel comfortable and heard.… They took the time to listen and made the session feel supportive and personalized. Overall a great experience, and I would absolutely recommend Makin Wellness!
On 11/16/2025, I discovered five separate charges of $62 — totaling $310 — withdrawn from my checking account without my authorization. These charges were for invoices from last year, despite the fact that I have not… had a visit with this practice in months, and those invoices had already been paid. It has now been well over a week, and I am still waiting for this issue to be fully resolved. The lack of urgency and accountability has been extremely disappointing. It is completely unprofessional — and deeply concerning — for a mental health practice to withdraw funds from a patient’s account without consent, especially for outdated invoices that were already settled. In today's economy, where every dollar matters, having over $300 taken unexpectedly is both stressful and unacceptable. To make matters worse, I was initially told that I “must have approved” these withdrawals, rather than the practice taking responsibility for the error and correcting it promptly. Because of this experience, I will not be returning to Makin Wellness. Buyer beware — double-check your billing and be cautious, because what happened to me felt careless, misleading, and incredibly unprofessional.
Appointment was confirmed through email 3 different times. Insurance info was given in painful detail. Messages were sent via text message during working hours and considered scam, and honestly reading the messages they… seem like a scam. Appointment was booked through ZocDoc but apparently not manually through their system, even though the appointment was confirmed 3 separate times and video link had been shared for over 4 days. Office texted to cancel the appointment less than 24 hours notice after I had already taken off to ensure I could attend the appointment. Practitioner also listed available appointment times, however when you read the fine print, it showed that they would be supervising as other therapists worked those sessions after 5pm. Major red flags for me and would not recommend to new patients seeking someone trained in this industry, coming from someone who also works in behavioral health.
We value the directional steps Heidi has given us.
Great experience nice people very good at listening and coming up with a plan for you.
They make you feel very comfortable and welcome and are willing to help you.
After months of not having therapy because the last job I had, I don't think the insurance was compatible, I could be wrong, I was glad to have a session with Tori today! I always feel better after having a therapy… session, although sometimes it can be draining.
This place seemed promising at first, but sadly, it left me feeling disappointed and in my own head even more than before. I’m not sure if it was due to a lack of organization or lack of care, but after I asked to… switch therapists—following a moment where the therapist questioned whether I was "bringing something up just to have something else to talk about"—I never heard back. (Not only is that unprofessional, but girl seriously? You think I want to chat for fun in this economy???) My care specialist stopped reaching out after I shared what I was looking for in a therapist and didn’t respond when I followed up for an update. I tried calling the office multiple times to figure out what was going on but never received any follow-up. As of today, my status in their system still shows as active, even though I haven’t heard from anyone in months. If I had the choice, I would have never tried this place out so this experience wouldn’t have stuck with me for as long as it did. *I want to emphasize, however, that this is just my personal experience and doesn’t reflect the practice or therapists as a whole. This is not to deter anyone reading this from seeking help. I was just unfortunate in my situation and wanted to share it in case anybody else went through similar. Thankfully, I’ve found a therapist elsewhere since then, and have began my healing process with them.
After a horrible experience with another therapist, I was apprehensive about starting with a new one. Tori and Makin Wellness eased all of my fears, and Tori is exceptional.
Attentive, calm, easy to talk to.
A very good listener. One of the best experiences of my life.
Makin wellness was recommended to me at the beginning of an extremely challenging time in life. I am so fortunate to have found Rahmah. Navigating through the dark night of the soul is not a journey done well alone. Yes… I have a great supportive group of friends and an amazing family. Adding a compassionate psychologist helps make this journey more tolerable. I've had/have legal issues, financial issues and medical issues, too much to expect family and friends to support. Matkin does not give legal, financial or medical advice. However when the devastating medical diagnosis hits home, the legal issues feel never ending and financial issues squeeze tightly, I have felt supported through all of these with a tremendous amount of wisdom, knowledge and compassion. Rahmah and her team are in it for all the right reasons. Life is not always kind. You are not alone. Thank you Matkin
Alexis is great to work with. She's caring and detailed.
Makin Wellness has been such a great company to work with - especially my therapist, Gabby!! Gabby is truly one of a kind, incredible. I had several bad attempts at therapy in the past and was hesitant to start again.… After a recommendation by a close friend, I scheduled with Gabby and the rest is history. She is caring and compassionate, sooo knowledgeable, and teaches you techniques to implement into your life. I have already made so much growth in my life and look forward to my sessions with her each week. If you’re lucky enough to get on her schedule, I know she can help you through whatever hardships are on your plate. Gabby deserves a perfect rating!! 🙌🏻
If flexibility is important to you, this may not be the best choice. I was unexpectedly hospitalized and had to cancel my appointment, only to be charged a $99 late fee. While I understand that policies are in place,… it's disappointing that they don’t account for emergencies. As a loyal customer for two years, I’ve always been accommodating—whether it was adjusting to my therapist’s schedule changes, canceling due to illness (outside the 48-hour window), or making do with phone calls instead of video chats when technical issues arose. If you’re looking for a provider that understands and considers emergency situations, I would suggest exploring other options. Sadly, this company seems more focused on profits than on actually caring about their clients' well-being, both physically and mentally. It’s clear they care more about fees than providing real support.
I've have found my interactions with Maddison to be very informative and beneficial to my growing awareness in personal growth and recognizing shortcomings and deficits that have contributed to problems maintaining my… mental health. I would definitely recommend her to family and friends looking for a therapist to assist them in dealing with ongoing issues they have been unable to resolve.
It has helped me a great deal. I have someone that is helping sort out my feelings and understand my depression. She makes me comfortable enough to address issues; I would not normally discuss.
Eliza is a very empathetic therapist, she recommends steps to help me move forward and through my issues. She asks questions that allow me to think hard on what I need to succeed.
Alex is wonderful therapist very understanding listens well and has fantastic input 10 out of 10 would recommend!!!!
