Am i a "case" or a person? Find a better facility. Too Many hands are involved. Their front office seems diconnected from the rest of their staff. There is also a disconnect between my case manager and the other… psychiatrist that i see that prescribes my meds. Very muddled experiences for me. My first case manager didn't seem to know me at all to the point I had to ask for someone else. I made many phone calls to this facility over the last year only to be disconnected or on hold up to eight minutes at a time before the operator even answers. Ive brought this up to both of my case managers more than once. It would have been better for me to if the person that was prescribing my medications was also my case manager ("i see that here in your chart"). It's hard struggling with depression anxiety, adhd, ptsd and severe memory issues, lack of work and previous legal issues and self deporvation and self fogivness. I struggle with extreme sadness, memory issues, confusion, frustration, inabilities with confrontation and the ability to function normally on a daily basis especially because of my ptsd, adhd, ocd and memory. I was recently ill for almost two and a half weeks and in that time I miss two appointments, for which i called in the day of. On my last appointment I showed up on time and I had an anxiety attack as soon as I walked into the facility (which i told my case manger later over the phonphone). I returned to my vehicle to call my case manager to let him know that I'll be waiting outside for him. I called their office and was on hold for 4 min and was disconnected. I called back 3 min disconnected again! I called back a third time and after waiting 3 min 45 sec. again I was so dejected that I told them I wanted to just go home. They told me that I would need to talk to my case manager before they would let me make another appointment. I was upset by that statement and I overreacted stating that i didn't want to use their facility anymore. Which wasn't true. I wanted to show up so that he would get paid because I felt bad for missing. I didn't feel like talking at all but I wanted to be respectful to my case manager. My case manager did make two attempts to get a hold of my by phone leaving two messages. i also left him a message in between his two calls briefly describing my situation and that i acted hastly and that i did want to continue there. there was no mention in any message that he could close my chart within two weeks in any of my case managers messages.... Today over the phone my case manager explained to me that my chart was closed and that i would need to start the process over with another intake. Did i die? Am i not the same person? Is it monetery? Couldnt we have done another session over the phone like when the office was flooded there that one time? I just wanted to talk to someone. I need a different medication. The FlOexetine only helped with my ocd. I needed help. Is this our treatment? i still cant sleep. Their Nurse at this facility is the one of the best people ive ever met. Im sorry i cant remember your name. Thank you for your kind words. You touched my heart that day. You recognized something in me that i hadnt heard in a long long time. Sorry. this took me all night. I tied to catch the mistakes. Of the two calls I made to them today, I got through on my first attempts. I didn't realize that they're a conglomerate. I'll get the conglomerate reply. Hopefully this help someone. im just one man. Ill slip on by like ive done my whole life. Im 55 years old and this was the first time ive ever sought help for myself. I know. Not youre average review...... literally hours. Thank your for your review. We are always looking for ways to improve... 6/19/26 update. I'm at Denova now. They're outstanding! I recommend them. I also tried Terros, I would pass on them as well. Try Denova.

It’s hard to get ahold of anyone over the phone. My 18 yes old son has adhd/mild autism he has been severely depressed since the age of 13 and has been on a lot of different medication and therapy and nothing seems to… work his depression has gotten worse and has lost the will to live he doesn’t want to be on medication anymore because he says nothing working he just lays in bed all day won’t eat/sleep has no friends won’t talk to any family member because he says we don’t understand what he feels here at behavioral health he’s been on 2 different medication he and I see that he’s getting worse we have another upcoming appointment next week hopefully he gets the help he needs and if anybody out there has any suggestions I’ll appreciate it 😊🙏thank you

I went here for 10years and I knew I wasn't correctly diagnosed. Since I wasn't correctly diagnosed I didn't receive treatment that helped. After 10 years and no improvement I got an SMI determination and sent to an… even crappier clinic. That was 8 years ago. So 18 years after 1st seeking help I'm barely figuring out what the real issue is and trying to get services or treatment that actually make a dif. Idk if that even exists, everywhere seems to be a front for help

I have a 3-year-old foster child assigned to Southwest Behavioral, and we were having an amazing experience—until about a week ago. Now, I can’t get a hold of anyone. We had an emergency situation and reached out… multiple times with no response. For a DCS-assigned child, this lack of communication is not just frustrating—it’s a serious safety concern. It’s incredibly disappointing because I used to speak highly of this agency. I know other foster parents going through similar issues and actively trying to transfer their cases to different providers. It’s honestly absurd and unacceptable to assign vulnerable, high-needs children to an agency that’s become this unresponsive. What changed in the past couple of weeks? This used to be a trusted partner. Now, it feels like we’re completely on our own.

The only reason I am giving this place one star is because I have an amazing therapist. But as a patient here, I cannot recommend this place to anyone. I have gone through at least eight different Case managers all… promising to help me with nothing to show for it barely returning any of my phone calls even if I am in Crisis. This is not the place to go if you are seeking mental health Help they do nothing but just talk and don’t provide you any resources that you asked for I previously was with Copa health and transferred all of my information to Southwest behavioral only to be completely disappointed on any of their SMI services. You would think managing people’s mental health would be a priority for them, but it seems very clear. The only interest they have is themselves and collecting a paycheck.

Well, they were great when I started there, then they kinda went downhill, they don’t answer their phones, they leave me on hold forever and I’m on the verge of closing services with them because of this, also my… therapist has been out of office and they didn’t even tell me so I’m out of an therapist for who knows how long, this is an honest review from someone who has been going to sbh for years now :/ also about the phone, I sit in the waiting room and the phones don’t even ring back there it’s like they are not even on :/

I have been with this facility linger than I should have. They are always changing providers, they have missed place my sons paperwork and don't get me started on the front desk. The phone just rings. One time just had… to test it out. So I called waited outside watching as no one answered the phone because they were too busy chatting with each other. When I stepped in stood at the windows till no ounce of interest to help. Enough is enough I am moving on. My son deserves better than this.

It truly makes me so sad and angry that this is my clinic. They refuse to take accountability and responsibilty for something they didn't do, and now they are saying lies about me and trying to spin it on me. They are… the reason i missed a medical appointment, and since they didn't set up my ride to go there, i had to call up there, but they never answer the phone. Tyler the lead case manager???? He ahould be fired!!! He hangs up on people, says lies about people, and he doesn't want to hear what anyone has to say, its Tylers way or no way. Need a reliable case manager???? Good luck!!!! Mine is Safna, she disappears when i need her the most. I requested a new case manager and she responded saying she is my point of contact.... Oh, ok.

Don't go if I could give it a zero I would Update: I would still give this place a 0. You will get in trouble for having to cancel your appointment in the same day but they can call you 15 minutes before your… appointment and cancel it. Place is a joke stay far away

Justin at the front desk is very helpful. I’ve left several messages for the office regarding lack of care being set up for my son with no a single call back, as well as no clarification on when they’d be set up, just… attitude that I am upset that they’re taking so long. It took SEVERAL months to get any services besides psych for my son, and he needed more than that. They finally assigned a high needs person to him (after asking for one for 3 months) so she’s been great, at least. I’ve had the office fight me over who I can see there, and it takes at least 7 calls with a 4 minutes of ringing to get through SOMETIMES. usually, I give up after the 7th time. A lot of their practices are inefficient and frustrating. The only reason I’m there now is it’s an SMI clinic and I love my psych there. The nurse is amazing too. Not impressed by anyone else but them and Justin.

Please protect your mental health by NOT coming here. I called in advance to see if they took my insurance. I let them know I didnt want meds, just therapy. They confirmed they did and what the co pay was. I came in and… paid for intake. They let me know they would call to set up an appt that day. They didnt. So I called the next day for them to inform me NONE of their therpaist accept commercial insurance. I thought I called and verified that you took it and SOMEHOW yall ran my insurance and could accept it for intake? But when it came down to it suddently you dont accept it. The therapist kept emailing me and telling me she would find someone within their system. Guess what never happened? Them finding me anyone. Now I am getting letters in the mail that I have been considered a no show for not coming to my appt? YOU NEVER SET AN APPT WITH ME. You told me you would get back after finding someone who took my insurance though we covered that before I came in AND during intake. What a joke.

Update: The family health provider, Sherry is the worst person to deal with in this office. And that is saying a lot. She roadblocks & gate keeps everything. She is the opposite of helpful. I watched her berate a 12… year old while we waited. She ordered several unnecessary tests. She wanted her staff to take my son’s blood while he got an EKG. Of course it was abnormal. Duh!!! She also yelled at her MA because he was “taking too long”. (He wasn’t. He was new & no one was training him.) When I asked her about my son’s paperwork, she wanted the office assistant to come “back her up”. All so she could yell at me more. We have also been waiting for their staff to transfer paperwork for 9 months. This has been an absolute nightmare at every turn. The only reason we have stayed was because of my son’s therapist, Marty. He is wonderful. The rest of the staff is unbearable. I can’t tell you to run faster than I am now. This place will give you more mental health issues than you might already suffer from. Don’t waist your time here! I only gave two stars because we genuinely like my son’s therapist, Marty. He’s great. But the rest of the staff/phone system needs serious help. My son has had to go without his ADHD meds several times because they are absolutely delinquent. The phones never work. When I go into the office they tell me “it should be fixed in the next couple of months.” MONTHS!! He even had to take his end of year exams with them. I switched to the family doctor that they have so we would have all care in one place. We all had a bad case of covid. I got a hold of her MA & asked if she could call in a prescription. She said there was nothing they could do. After hounding her more, she got back to me THREE DAYS later & told me I would need to pick up the prescription from their pharmacy. At that point I was already in the hospital. After that I needed referrals for complications I had. They were never called in. If you’re looking for consistency, go somewhere else. These people couldn’t care less if your needs are being met as a patient.

I've had good experiences overall when I have long term providers in place for both therapy and medication maintenance. I give 5 stars for the therapy side. However, there have been prescriber changes for the medication… maintenance which have created a lot of stress to sort through. And the last few months, I've no longer had the stability I did with my prior doctor. I am disabled ànd there àre significant complexities due to my chronic illnesses. My medications are a very important part of my overall treatment/condition. I understand there's a steep learning curve for a new prescriber and this is why I must find a stable replacement to manage my medications. In addition, if there's an issue in between visits which requires I contact my prescriber, the system in place is especially challenging to work through. Ànd I'm not àble to speak to my prescriber. Instead, the SBHS protocol requires the patient navigate through two to three steps in order to resolve the arising issue at hand through a random "on-call prescriber" who is not familiar with my chronic condition, and often it has to be explained to the "on-call prescriber" to the extent it may be relevant for the matter at hand. So that process creates a lot of stress. I'm hopeful that once I find the right Prescriber (a good fit) to manage my medications, we can reestablish the stability I appreciated before.
