Drug and Alcohol Rehabs in Sunnyslope, Phoenix

Sunnyslope sits at the northern edge of central Phoenix beneath the North Mountain and Shaw Butte preserves, around Hatcher Road and Central Avenue.

The area began in the 1920s as a settlement for people with tuberculosis and other lung conditions, drawn by the dry air, many of whom arrived with very little.

That history left a legacy of small houses, informal building and a strong tradition of mutual assistance, and the John C. Lincoln hospital grew directly out of a clinic founded to serve those first arrivals.
