Axiom Care was an important and necessary first step in my recovery journey. I spent 60 days at Whitton House before transferring to another program, and that combination gave me my first six months of solid sobriety… before moving into sober living. Axiom is especially well-suited for men who are low on options and high on the need for help—whether coming off the streets, out of jail or prison, or just completely burned down and needing a reset. For early recovery, the residential inpatient structure is crucial, and Axiom provides that stability. The staff genuinely care, and I want to specifically mention Billy, the Clinical Director. He’s an exceptional human being and professional, and I’ll never forget the impact he had on me. Leadership like that matters. They take residents to meetings, foster a supportive environment, and do a solid job cultivating camaraderie. The food was good, the environment was comfortable, and the day-to-day structure was exactly what I needed at that stage. One major strength of Axiom is accessibility. They work with most forms of AHCCCS/Access, and even if someone comes in uninsured, they’ll help get that process started—often beginning right at the detox level before residential. That alone makes Axiom a realistic option for many people who otherwise wouldn’t have one. I’ll be honest and say Axiom isn’t meant to be the end of the road for most people with long, hard histories of use. For guys like me, 60 to 90 days is a band-aid on an axe wound unless it’s followed by a Phase Two or longer-term program. The men who do best are the ones willing to keep going after Axiom. That said, as a stepping stone—a place to stabilize, breathe, and get pointed in the right direction—Axiom Care does its job well. I’m grateful for the time I spent there and for the role it played in getting me to where I am today. I even return every Sunday to participate in their H & I AA Big Book Study! Highly recommended as a first stop in recovery, especially for those starting from a low bottom and needing structure, care, and access.

Contrary to popular belief, they will not help you if you're uninsured. Pretty cold hearted to turn someone away who is literally begging for help - they don't care unless it's paid for. Their solution is go to Valley… Hospital! Thanks for nothing

Help me become successful by getting me to work past the habit of not only pushing past my giving up point but cramming the essential tools for getting to society and putting my dreams into action, plus help gave me a… part of support that allowed me to become use to being in a public enviroment and getting use to living with people i dont know. Plus the staff!!! WERE extraordinary!!!

Although this program could be extremely difficult at times, I benefitted quite a bit from it. I'd especially like to point out Heidi. Her groups were engaging and she was always ready to help, whether it was resources,… guidance or just lending an ear. Heidi was phenomenal!!!
