I'm a medical marijuana user. I have a card and everything. While I was there I got treated like a second class citizen and then when they saw my pee test they threatened to put me in a facility. And then while I was… talking to the guy who was supposed to be helping me I tell him I'm allergic to buspar and he is like oh you're not allergic to it You just need to take more and triples my dose. Then while I'm there talking to him he's like what's wrong with you? What do you mean what's wrong with me I ask and he goes well what do you need medicine for? So I tell him and he just writes me prescriptions for medicines I didn't even need just because I wanted to see if he would. To top it all off the "therapist" talked about himself for an hour and his girlfriend going on vacation and how he was mad about it. I didn't get to talk about myself or the fact that my dad killed himself. I was going through some heavy stuff and they treated me like I was a child I'm a 38-year-old woman
Super grateful this is here for the community. Therapy has been really helpful in getting in control of my anger. Something I plan to keep doing and it doesn't break the bank. Thanks!
Your not going to line it here experience from 2025- 2026 so far
They are extremely rude
My daughter have been seeing Jessica Milhomme at the Broward location and It just hurt my heart to think that she just don’t care . I advise her that the ymeds she prescribed are not working and she is suffering Can not… concentrate this lady just sit looking like she can’t wait for us to get out the office no form of care empathy. She insist on prescribing a medication my daughter initially started on the lowest dose that did not do anything for her I tried to explain to her that she was on that medication for over year the highest dose and her prior Dr stop it because it was not. Working . At one point she had my daughter taking two medication that. Does not work well together I researched and I advise that the reason the primary medication is not working is because It Is not advise to be taken together for my daughter condition. This nurse practitioner is clueless when come to medication management she just tried whatever request to do No blood work . My daughter will not be seeing her any more. I pray she find Doctor who actual care and know what they doing.
Henderson Behavioral Health in Davie has been a lifesaver. The staff is kind, professional, and truly cares. The clinic director went above and beyond to personally help us when we needed it most. Her support made all… the difference. If you’re looking for real help from people who genuinely care — this is the place to go
This place is discriminatory. I called and tried expressing my situation and the second I said I had diabetes. I was immediately met with an argumentative tone which then got follow up by being hung up. I will… definitely be contacting the proper channels about handling this and also be making videos and seeking out new outlets to discuss this because this type of behavior in mental health facilities that are somehow accredited need to be stopped. It’s really tearing apart the whole recovery community and makes it difficult for trust and safety to be built when you can’t even finish saying a couple sentences to another human being. Absolutely atrocious behavior from your staff member. Then when I was told the manager would come in and reach out. She never did. Hanging up on somebody due to a disability is discrimination. I know that for a fact. Especially at a facility like this one.
Had problems finding my account due to an error made by another office. Jan took care of my profile issues, she located my medication for me, and provided me with all the resources I needed. Thankful for Jan! Love this… office over their other ones. Choose the davie office people, it won’t disappoint. Plus , they’re open on New Year’s Eve making sure my mental health is taken care of
I have a great experience with my therapist however what great is therapy when I have been pleading to get case management and keep getting transferred between offices with no end result. I had a terrible exchange with… Daphne Stevens who lied about calling me and never left a message. They claim I get case management somewhere else when I never completed my intake there and stressed that o want case management at Henderson since I do therapy here. I filed a formal grievance, followed up on it just to find out that the supervisor for the Daphne Stevens is Denisha Stat who could’ve very well assisted me with my concern but I felt like I was being avoided and rerouted in circles.
Terrible experience. Listen to all reviews telling you to stay away. At one appointment some women told me I can't be seen without payment. I always pay my bills, just needed a little time and couldn't pay upfront. I… found out later on that I had a credit on file that no one informed me of. So they had a credit for me on file, but we're going to send me home because I was having difficulty paying that day.
Feeling better since coming to Henderson Clinic.Doctor Carlos Gomez treatment for my condition working very well, and in your own Language. Spanish or Ingles Thank you
Dr Carlos Gomez really enjoy sitting in with him and this was my first appointment with him
Great and understanding psychiatric help there , Dr Carlos is so attentive always listening and conversating with me when I most need it , always knows best for you .
Best Doctor I have ever had. Best service I have ever had. I couldn't ask for better. My Doctor is the best. From day 1 until now thank you guys !Thank you Henderson.
Amazing Doctor and therapist and they give me the support and assistance I need here I am very thankful and glad I come here
I must say I came in sick and addicted to drugs and alcohol. Since coming to Henderson the staff has been great! I am on the path of recovery. Dr Carlos has had my best interest at heart and all suggestions and… medications have been working for me. David is my therapist and really helped me feel comfortable and helps me understand my disease. Thanks for helping me get sober and healthy and live a more purposeful, meaningful life.
This place every employee that works here needs a lot of customer service with mental patients. They need to have patience with the mental health patients. The employees here are very rude . When you guys are dealing… with mental patients you need to be understanding that they have a issue and that's why they are looking for help. Don't come here if you have mental health for this location will make it worse.
Do not go in. I was with doctor Garcia or Romero or something like that. He is the WORST. I was prescribed a med that made me sleep 16 hours a day. HE UPPED MY DOSE AFTER I COMPLAINED. Later he said, well you complained… about not sleeping and now you complain you sleep too much? SO unprofessional. He also told me he would change it and gave me the same medication under a different name WITH A HIGHER DOSE. I asked to change it and was told to wait. THREE WEEKS of this, I couldnt work or go to school. I called him and he said there is no cure for me. As a psychology degree he is a liar, a disgusting individual. Everyone else was extremely helpful and kind.
They’re so helpful and no long waiting. Thank you Henderson. Thank you Sharon for being so sweet.
I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
Nurse is extremely rude and unhelpful both on the phone and in person. You would think someone in the mental health field would be a lot more understanding/compassionate but not at this office.
I have to say that Henderson saved me from hitting rock bottom. Dr. Ismail is a great doctor. She listens to you like you are a human being. Her caring attitude makes her easy to talk to. She always has a smile on her… face & a blessing to give. I highly recommend this center if you have psychiatric needs.
I've had a great experience here every time. Dr. Ismail is great and the staff is always very helpful.
Wish I could give no stars. Dr. Ismail and the front counter staff are very rude. I had to go to the Fort Lauderdale location first, which was much nicer and helpful, and when I ran out of meds before coming here I… called about it. This location kept transferring me over to different people and yelled at me for asking a simple question. After 10 phone calls I received a useful answer but wasn’t able to make an appointment for 3 months when I needed meds asap. Dr. Ismail here doesn’t care about your issues nor believes in mental health as she tried to offer my sister mood stabilizers for depression. If you have other options please utilize them. Let Henderson be a last resort.
The nurse there lies and is very rude and every time I call her she is prejudice and an angry individual who doesn't know how to do her job called today and she told me I had to wait a month to get a refill on my meds… who does that !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jul 15 2021
If I could give a less than ZERO star rating, I would. My sister suffered a mental breakdown while visiting from out of state and after being referred by ER staff, we followed up with this awful place. This alleged ‘Dr.… Ismail’ was extremely rude, had NO compassion, and when we told her we had questions about my sister’s condition and prescribed medications, she actually said she didn’t have time and that she was done and she had other patients to see!! She spent less than 5 minutes with my sister! The waiting room was empty when we got there and empty when we left! If you love your family and yourself, STAY FAR AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE! THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU, ESPECIALLY THIS SO-CALLED DOCTOR!
My brother is schizophrenic. He lives in a facility a half an hour away from me. I needed to schedule an appointment to get his meds renewed. They wouldn't give me one. They said that he needs to call in himself. HE IS… NOT CAPABLE OF SCHEDULING HIS OWN APPOINTMENTS! If he didn't want to go to the appointment he wouldn't go with me, so why would I schedule an appointment for him if I knew he wouldn't go? I thought we worked this out with them. He gave me full authorization last time we were there. I told them that I have a medical power of attorney. It's just an appointment. If he doesn't get his meds he will go off the rails and it will be Henderson's fault!
