So far I like it. The area is great the place is nice and cozy. So far the people there have been very caring and supportive.

I was referred here after emergency treatment and it took them over 2 months for me to see a specialist/psychiatrist to be prescribed medication. Medication I need for my daily function. On top of that, it took them a… long time to give me a therapist, constantly wait for treatment. I started seeing the therapist (brown-skinned woman with glasses & dreads). I missed my appointment and told me I was out of the program. Her last words to me were “Everyone goes through things”. Mind you all I said was I been going through a lot. How dare you, it’s hard enough finding proper care being black. Mental illness is not taken seriously enough.

Services are serious. Professional and supportive environment. Highly recommend.

As a parent with joint involvement in my children’s care, my experience with this office has been extremely concerning. My children recently underwent another evaluation, and for the second time, I was not contacted… with the results, next steps, or any followup despite being a parent who should be included in all aspects of my children's care. I received an unexpected phone call from my oldest child’s therapist about his treatment plan. I was taken aback because I didn't even know my children had resumed therapy. Being excluded from critical information about my children's medical and mental health care is unacceptable. Communication with both parents should be standard practice, not optional. This lack of transparency and coordination not only creates confusion, but it also undermines my ability to support my children effectively. I would strongly encourage this office to review its communication policies and ensure that both parents are properly informed and included moving forward.

These people are unprofessional they denied my son to get any helped without even asking what was his condition just because I was the one calling to set up the appointment If someone is not mentally stable that means… they can’t do certain things lets me know they really don’t want to help anyone they just help with surface level mental disabilities

Never again. A waste of time. First off they made me wait 3 months before talking to anybody and then turned around and had me talking to a clear person who couldnt relate. Every week it was something with her. She was… on vacation, she called out sick, so on and so fourth. Then she stopped calling and had the nerve to mark me as no shows. Called them several times to see whats going on and they kept giving me the run around. Got discharged cause ol girl couldn’t prolly handle the workload. No shade mental health is real. Lady called me and said they sent me a discharge letter… girl where?! The lady couldnt even tell me how they sent it. Its cool tho. When yu know better yu do better ✌🏽never again!

This is my second time receiving care at family connections in a 7 year time frame. A safe place, one that genuinely cares about their clients. I’m already seeing progress within my self as well as my mental health… because my clinician is AMAZING. If you’re willing to put the work into the exercises being taught, you instantly feel this weight lifted off of you. I’m grateful for my clinician and all of the efforts she’s putting into me 🙏🏼

This place is a pretty good resource in the community. But like all things, it works when you do your part. I'm not sure if changes have been made since covid. You would need to call to see which services are being… offered at this time.

I have been interacting with this organization for almost 2 years for my supervised visits due to a DCP&P case. I must tell you, these people are AWESOME. I have built such a bond with my caseworkers that I am going to… be sad to see them go when its time for unsupervised visits. They have advocated for me and my son and made me feel so confident in this long process. Kudos to Ashley, Ashlee and Drew. 8-)
