Salt Recovery saved my life, everything was tailored to make a horrible journey as beautiful, comforting and relaxed as it could possibly be. Every single one of their staff are the best of the best at what they do,… from the PT’s and Pilates teachers to the beauty therapists and masseuse’s, my amazing therapist, the nursing and support staff are the kindest most helpful human beings you will find. Most importantly THE CHEF!!! The food has just been to die for, he will accommodate any requests without skipping a beat. This facility is world class and it feels like they’ve built a little community and I am so greatful to have had the pleasure of being a small part of it. I could never have got through this without Salt.

Can’t fault salt recovery in any area! The staff and people there are amazing and genuinely care about giving there clients the best care possible during there stay but also once they leave. I stayed here for 2 weeks… and I can’t put into words how much coming here has done for me, I feel as if I know have the tools and knowledge to start loving life again, massive credit to the team who just get it! The beautiful place to stay and food are just a bonus really the best thing is finding yourself again so thank you salt ❤️

My experience at Salt Recovery House during the past three weeks is like nothing I've ever experienced before. I have a history of complex PTSD due to a challenging fear- filled childhood and also as the result of a… number of suicides in my family. Having had traumatic experiences when I was younger in psychiatric hospitals, I've had a long standing terror of doctors and the medical system. I came into Salt three and a half weeks ago no longer able to cope with intractable insomnia, a dependance on zopiclone, and panic attacks at night. I have done many years of inner work and have found much strength and balance over time, however I was at my wits end when I made the decision to do my three weeks at Salt with regard to the insomnia and panic attacks. The one on one therapy, the amazing massages, facials, breathwork and personal training have restored my body, my soul and my trust. Salt provided me with the safe, non- judgemental, deeply respectful, loving environment in which to heal. The nurses helped me to develop a relationship with a great local GP who listened to me, and collaborated with me to address my medication needs. My sleep is well on the way to being restored. The panic attacks are gone. I am no longer taking Zopiclone. There is no hierachy at Salt. We are all just fellow travellers finding our way home to ourselves.The staff are so practical, kind, funny and real. The food is spectacular, the facilities are grand. The ice bath, sauna, and cedar spa being particular favourites. The hinterland setting is a paradise. All I had to do to make the most of this incredible opportunity was to surrender to the help, to ask for what I need, (which has been very challenging for me to do in the past), and to open my mind and participate as fully as possible. My experience at Salt Recovery truly has changed my life! I went in for a 2 week stay to deal with complex PTSD. I needed a safe place that provided therapy on a daily basis to address issues I had buried for 5 years.… This was the first time I had done anything like this. I was a little unsure of what "rehab" would be like? But the second I stepped into the house, I felt completely at ease. The home is spectacular! So clean and surrounded by forest and wildlife. Exercise, daily sauna and ice baths became my routine. Their provision for other daily therapies for relaxation such as massage, facials, P/T, breath work and sound healing were remarkable and such a great way to relax and open my mind to other forms of healing. All the staff are genuinely compassionate, understanding, and committed to helping people heal and rebuild their lives. I was treated with respect every step of the way. I would highly recommend Salt to anyone wanting to transform their life!

My 30 day stay at Salt Recovery has set me up to start living my life to the fullest. I came here at my very lowest after having suffered a number of significant losses and was using alcohol to numb the pain. From the… moment my family reached out to the team at Salt Recovery they were convinced this was the place for me to get better and they were right. I’ve tried other rehabs in the past, but nothing has come close to my experience at Salt Recovery. I spent 30 days here and am now continuing with the day programme three days a week to stay connected, and it’s been… life-changing. One year on from my treatment at Salt Recovery and I am on top of the world. The understanding, care and compassion I received during my stay gave me the strength and determination to make a better life for myself. The… program and all the team involved in my recovery were instrumental in empowering me to make the changes necessary to do this. Since graduating from the program I have undertaken full time studies in social work at university hoping to give back and help those like myself before I discovered Salt. As a mother of 4 children and an owner of a busy business, I recently reached out to Salt. I had been struggling with the loss of my brother and life was getting on top of me, I desperately needed a reset. From the… minute I first spoke to Lucas, I feel heard and supported. They were flexible with the timeframe of my stay as I didn’t want to be away from my kids too long. Prior to arriving I had felt I had failed with everything just feeling too much, however I quickly felt at home at Salt. The staff are kind, nurturing and so very accommodating to everyone’s individual needs. Khal’s food is absolutely amazing and has completely rewired my relationship with good food. The PT sessions, Pilates and personal therapies such as massage and breath-work sessions were so beneficial, I never thought I would look forward to getting back in the gym again! The overnight health care staff are always offering a supportive ear and check in on everyone, and the amazing psychologists are second to none, truely gifted, kind-hearted humans. Salt is truly a remarkable place. I was diagnosed with PTSD due to sexual harassment at work and after a prolonged Federal Court case my mental health had deteriorated to the point where I couldn't leave home without… becoming panicked. The therapy at Salt is second to none and Michelle my therapist has given me the skills to continue my healing journey after leaving Salt. The whole team - Zoe, Tiana, Andre, Lily and everyone else provided exceptional care and support, helping me heal and regain my confidence. The food was A-mazing (thanks Khal!) and the rooms were five-star quality. The workouts were personalised so I could choose the type of exercise I actually enjoy and also try new things like reformer pilates. I’m so grateful bring my dog Yoshi with me for my stay. The staff are all dog lovers and he had an absolute ball making friends with everyone. Salt Recovery changed my life. I had undiagnosed PTSD which led to me having a lot of mental health issues. After being diagnosed and seeking treatment I learnt the tools from Salt on how to manage it. The biggest thing… that helped me was understanding the way I was feeling. The therapies were amazing, the food and rooms were incredible. I used my superannuation to pay for it and I urge you to put yourself first and if you are struggling with your mental health, addiction or knowing you might be drinking too many wines to cope with stress, it’s time to get better for yourself. Salt Recovery was exactly where I needed to be and what I need to heal. The staff made my stay comfortable as I live interstate and missed my family terribly. The chef made me amazing meals, the healthy food was… delicious and helped with my recovery. Having a scheduled routine with therapy, treatments and exercise was definitely the key to my success. I can not recommend Salt enough, I had wanted to book in a few times over the last few years but always pulled out with the belief that I could fix myself. My life was becoming quiet out of control juggling business,… family and addiction. I came to the realisation that I needed help to get to where I wanted to be and who I wanted to become. Coming to Salt Recovery is an experience I will never forget as the process has been life changing for me. I am 44 years old and have been taking substances for the past 27 years. I entered Salt Recovery in an unwell state physically and mentally. I was extremely nervous and unsure if I had made the right decision but all those feelings were replaced with positive emotions after I had arrived. I… felt at home and comfortable within a short period thanks to the dedicated staff that helped me through my journey.
