About Hope Community Services Geraldton – Geraldton
Hope Community Services Geraldton is the Geraldton branch of Hope Community Services, a Western Australian community organisation. The branch provides free alcohol and other drug counselling, information, referral and advocacy for individuals and families, including anyone sent its way by courts or police through state diversion programmes.
Alongside counselling, the branch runs alcohol and other drug outreach, consultancy for health professionals, and community education on alcohol- and drug-related harm and suicide prevention. Community mental health counselling and youth services are run from the same Forrest Street office. There is no fee. Individuals and families can make contact directly on 1300 467 392 during weekday hours, and health professionals can seek consultancy and referral through the same channels.

Hope Community Services Geraldton Counselling Services
Hope Community Services Geraldton offers two levels of care: outpatient alcohol and other drug counselling and community outreach. Support is non-residential, so you or someone you care about attends the Forrest Street office or meets a worker in the community, and family members are included in the work.
Information, referral and advocacy sit alongside the counselling, and the branch accepts individuals referred by courts or police under state diversion arrangements. A family programme is among its listed supports. The team also provides consultancy to health professionals and community education on alcohol- and drug-related harm and suicide prevention, and the same address runs community mental health counselling and youth services. Withdrawal management and rehabilitation are not offered here, so the counselling team refers on where that is what is needed.

Where Is Hope Community Services Geraldton?
Hope Community Services Geraldton works from 80A Forrest Street, Geraldton, Western Australia, postcode 6531, in the Mid West coastal city north of Perth. The office is a community services building in town rather than a clinical or hospital setting, with counselling rooms and staff who also work outside the office.
Doors open Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm. The way in is the organisation’s number, 1300 467 392, or its general email, and no formal referral is needed for counselling: individuals and families can approach directly, while courts, police and health professionals also refer in. Outreach means some contact happens away from the office, so confirm where an appointment is being held before travelling.

Hope Community Services Geraldton Reviews
Public reviews of Hope Community Services Geraldton from around the web are limited, and no overall rating is known for the Forrest Street branch specifically rather than the wider organisation. RehabSeekers hosts reviews for this branch, and anyone who has had counselling or outreach support here is welcome to share it.
Hope Community Services runs sites across Western Australia, so comment posted online tends to describe the organisation as a whole. What would help a Mid West reader is something local: how quickly a first counselling appointment came up, what the sessions covered, how outreach worked outside the office, and whether a court or police diversion referral changed the way support was arranged.
My son went here after battling a drug addiction of 20 plus years, has now been clean for 13 months, he also suffered from alot of mental health issues and when he needed the help they couldnt help him i found that they… where very unquailified and thet also lacked any empathy, was not run very well lack of activities or any medical personal.....
My experience at hope was difficult to say the least, i attended this program as my 3rd TC in my progressive journey of recovery, and unfortunatley for myself this facility just could not cater to my mental health… issues aswell as my drug dependancy rehabilitation, the RSW's (residential support workers) had minimal passion for their line of work, unfortunatley that is a major turn away for myself as support is a big part of the recovery process. The programs being run were facilitated by incompetent untrained staff, and the responses to requesting further information were met most often with retaliation, as opposed to information/answers. I cannot say it was all negative, as the residents at the facility the clients themselves were good, kind, supportive people, and there was 3 RSW's in the roster that truly cared about helping make a diffrence to their consumers. I have a ungodly fear of needles and a Residential Support Worker made that experience, with the support of a GP, the most easy experience of blood tests i have ever had and i am eternally greatful for their support. The kitchen at this facility is 5 star and stands out from almost every other aspect of this TC aside from the absolutely amazing views of sunsets and the amazing walk down to the natural creek and the best sky of stars one can get lost in all night long. All in all i give a 3 star review in hopes that although my experience was not great, that others may find peace and serenity at this location. Best of luck to all the residents that continued their journey here after my leaving and best of luck to all future participants of this program, you deserve sobriety and deserve peace and serenity. Ps this photo is not from the facility but greatly resembles the views of beauty that this facility has on offer every afternoon.
