About DASSA Outpatient Services – Clare

DASSA Outpatient Services at Clare serves the mid north of South Australia, with free and confidential assessment and treatment for individuals whose alcohol or other drug problems are severe or complex. The clinic also covers Burra, Blyth, Riverton, Snowtown, Port Wakefield and Lochiel, and a referral is required.

Medication assisted treatment of opioid dependence, assessment and referral, withdrawal management and counselling are the services listed for the Old North Road clinic. Because the catchment reaches across several mid north towns, where you are seen may depend on which day the clinic runs. A GP can make the referral, or the statewide alcohol and drug line on 1300 131 340 can point you in the right direction.

Outpatient Mental Health Clinic

DASSA Outpatient Services Alcohol and Drug Services

Medication assisted treatment of opioid dependence sits alongside assessment and referral, withdrawal management and counselling in what DASSA Outpatient Services lists at Clare. Care is non-residential, and the setting for withdrawal management is not listed, so what that involves is settled at assessment rather than beforehand.

The clinic is listed as open to all audiences, and its reach takes in Burra, Blyth, Riverton, Snowtown, Port Wakefield and Lochiel as well as Clare itself. Named therapies, further medications, assessment tools, support services and programme lengths do not appear for this site, so the clinic team is the right source on what the mid north service can provide and what would mean a trip to Adelaide.

DASSA Outpatient Services Reviews

Reviews of DASSA Outpatient Services at Clare from around the web are limited, which is the usual picture for a country clinic within a statewide alcohol and drug service. RehabSeekers hosts reviews for the Clare site, and anyone who has attended Old North Road is welcome to share their experience.

Since the same service name covers clinics in many towns, saying that the visit was to Clare makes a review far more useful. The details that help most are how long the referral took to turn into an appointment, whether the clinic ran on the day expected and how counselling or pharmacotherapy was managed across the mid north catchment.

I've tried for 2-3 months to make an appointment on here I've given up and will be moving away. Ridiculous!

Best doctors, a bit hard to get in but worth the wait to see a good doctor. And they do bulk bill pensioners and health care card holders.

It's a medical centre, most doctors seem ok. Shortage of doctors is a problem, month long wait for appointments, that is not acceptable.

Excellent care given. I'm feel blessed to have found a doctor that listens and hears me and is not just rolling patients in and out of hours office but truly caring about his patient.

Absolutely love how your not shuvved out of an office quickly and not heard. Drs here are amazing ! ... I travel 2 and a half hours to go to the doctor here. I had been getting treatment from my local Dr and i wasn't… being heard or listened to ! ... as soon as I switched doctors I got heard. Drs here are great 👍

Apart from a Dr there putting me on a massive amount of morphine a day, leading me down a slippery slope, the medical centre is quite good and I remember friendly.

All doctors at this clinic that I have dealt with have always been more than helpful. I cannot recommend them highly enough even if you don't get what you thought you wanted you WILL get what you need. Extremely… thorough.
