Clínica Dorial – Mealhada

My experience at this clinic was very positive. I am grateful to the psychologists for all the dedication they put into my recovery. The medication also helped, but without their work, I wouldn't have recovered so… quickly. I really enjoyed the green spaces, especially the swimming pool with a view of the Bussaco mountain range. And I miss the cooks who, in addition to the good food, also supported me with their friendship.

This clinic stands out for the excellence of its multidisciplinary team, always professional, attentive, and truly dedicated to patient care. The entire team demonstrates empathy, respect, and very close support, which… makes all the difference in the recovery process. Another very important point is the food! The meals are nutritious and well-prepared, showing a real concern for physical health as a fundamental part of mental health. This daily care contributes to overall well-being and a more welcoming and humane environment! Thank you so much for everything you have done for me!!

Simply one of my worst experiences. They brought me more problems than the ones I had.

After reading an inappropriate comment that is distorting the image of the place that saved me, I decided to tell a little of my story and do justice to the truth, which is the freedom to be able to live!!! I spent… several years in a complicated mental health process, I attempted suicide and I no longer saw light at the end of the tunnel. I was only able to seriously recover with Dorial Mental Health, with extremely competent and qualified professionals like Dr. Alice Alves, whom I still thank today for the compassion and trust she placed in me and who made me a different person, someone empathetic, someone better. The staff and the surrounding environment are top-notch, you can tell that people genuinely care... There is a very strong bond between the people of Luso and the clinic, of living in community. At the deepest point of my depression, I found a safe place at Dorial. During my months of hospitalization, I felt cared for, listened to, and respected. The welcoming atmosphere of the team and the serenity of nature… helped me regain my strength. Today, I continue to be accompanied, with profound gratitude, by the psychotherapist and psychiatrist who continue to walk with me on this journey of healing and transformation.

My experience with the Dorial clinic was confusing. Although they have a dedicated and friendly team of professionals, the presence of an older psychologist creates a negative and conflict-ridden environment. On the one… hand, her relationship with the other psychologists creates an atmosphere of unease and conflict that does nothing to help the treatment of the people in the clinic, where there is a lack of respect for everyone, including the owner. The worst part is waking up during the week to shouting, intrigues, and inappropriate comments. In my layman's opinion, this doesn't seem like appropriate behavior for a psychologist or a mental health clinic, especially since, being the oldest, she should be an example for the younger ones. But according to people I've known who have been there for several years, it's always been like this... Due to all this, my rating is negative.

This clinic was recommended to me by my therapist when I was still in São Paulo. The place is nice and peaceful. The technical staff helped me a lot during my stay.

I was at the clinic for a few months. At first, I was very apprehensive and didn't really know where I was going. Once I arrived, I was welcomed in the best possible way, as if they had always known me, without… judgment. There was always a team available for me at any time, which is very important. At the end of the treatment, I usually leave a lot, and that means a lot. The facilities are great, I have nothing to say. The food is very healthy and varied. I recommend this clinic to everyone. The people are so humane, an incredible team. I have no words to describe it. Thank you so much ❤️

I loved meeting someone who showed up at the door... arrogance first and foremost, in grand style, lies, many people of bad character, in short, very poor quality with the visitors, so I can only imagine with the… patients... I was left with a very bad impression, and going around to the neighbors and asking what they thought of the clinic, nobody said a single positive word to me...

One of the worst clinics! My mother was admitted at the end of 2017 with severe depression. Initially, they were very attentive, but during the 2 months she was there, no one from the family could visit her or even talk… on the phone, because according to the staff it would be better that way. The "stay" was super expensive, but the important thing was for my mother to get better. On December 25th, I received a call from my mother crying, asking to be taken out of the clinic because she was being given cold showers and was being treated very badly. After this time, I went to pick her up and she was worse than when she left. She was admitted to the psychiatric ward in Guarda and the doctors were shocked by the amount of medication she was taking and, moreover, they had given her 2 injections for people with schizophrenia, even though my mother never had that problem. I do not advise anyone to admit anyone here. Almost 6 years later, my mother can't even hear the name of this clinic.

It's a money-sucking machine; the patients come back worse than when they arrived. It's worthless!!!!! As a holiday hotel, I give it a 1 out of 10. For treatment, a 0 out of 10!!!!

Terrible clinic. A holiday camp for patients where they have access to everything.

Terrible facilities and horrible conditions. Drug-addicted patients continue to use drugs even inside the clinic. It's just a business where they only want the money and nothing else.

Check if this establishment is authorized by the Ministry of Health and the ERS to operate. Lack of hygiene, absence of permanent on-site medical supervision, lack of safety in the mobility and integrity of users, lack… of communication between the two buildings, infrastructure not adapted for the purpose. The website promotes an image that has nothing to do with the reality of the facts; a prior visit is strongly suggested. Not recommended! A scam!
