Memphis recovery had helped my daughter tremendously. Emma was show showing shine, strive, and accountability, but a few weeks ago the local police department me into lakeside behavioral health systems. Emma’s treatment… was disrupted, along with her disease of addiction going active . She ran away, but police found her and brought her back to Memphis recovery. I was notified yesterday, after Emma had been gone 20 hrs that She ran away again, after getting upset. The counselor stated she hit the exit sign. They tried stopping her but she ran. Not only did she expunge from a locked facility , but it’s gated, as well. Emma has an ankle monitor. How this happened I don’t know . The state of Tennessee has been trying to get my children since , last October. My other daughter went into state custody, last week, after a judge allowed her to sign her own paperwork and make her own decisions. I bring this up because it is a similar situation. I pray that my baby is soon. I will hold Memphis recovery responsible should something happen to my baby.

Memphis Recovery Center helps change lives. The adult services long term in patient program is excellent. It is all recovery based with emphasis on the 12 steps and 12 step fellowships. I have seen miracles happen at… MRC. The counselors are excellent with special emphasis on Ms. Tamia. If anyone looking for recovery and a better life could work with Tamia, it would be a blessing indeed. The program is structured and requires hard, honest work from the patients, I have seen first hand that this is exactly what most people struggling with substance abuse issues, needs. I highly recommend MRC to anyone struggling with addiction and seeking to change their lives for the better.

I had been to 5 other treatment facilities before I came to Memphis Recovery Center, so I have experience with different types of rehabs. MRC is different! The curriculum is different, the atmosphere is different, and… the activities are different. Although going through treatment is difficult anywhere, I had an amazing experience at MRC. I highly recommend MRC to anyone serious about changing their life. You can start here. It changed my life. I am now 7 (consecutive) months sober, for the first time since I was 14. I am 47. I thank God for Memphis Recovery Center.

This place saved my lives i say that plural because they helped me in my physical addiction, mentally they helped me find out why I picked up in the first place my past experiences that I had to get over and accept to… move on in my life and also spiritually..I was the first patient to be baptized at this facility and it my connection with my higher power could never be greater....the staff worked very close with me in identifying my triggers and possible relapse scenarios.. t hey helped me build a recovery network and to start the routine of going to meetings and familiar faces in those rooms..overall I give this facility and its staff a five star review because without them I would not have a life today..even the warden

I have been fortunate enough to be able to know MRC on a professional as well as a personal level. As a social worker, there were many clients that needed emergent , in patient rehab for a drug addiction. When I called… MRC they were beyond helpful. In one case, MRC was unable to help this specific client i had but they referred this client to another facility that could help them. Everyone I have met there has the heart of a servant! Personally, I have been lucky to have worked with some women that went through MRC's inpatient rehab, and they are still sober! There is a huge camaraderie among the alumni that continues well after graduation. MRC is a special place!

Memphis Recovery Center saved my life. This place is truly a God send. I had a long, hard road in addiction… treatment center after treatment center… and since I was a juvenile, I spent most of my life either behind… bars or in treatment centers. Every place I went, I felt like just another inmate or patient. Nobody ever sat down with me, asked how I was really doing, or tried to understand me.I first came to MRC when I was 17. I wasn’t ready then to stay clean for good, but I’ll tell you this — getting high and drunk was never the same after I left. I still remember walking in… those first couple nights I felt something I had never felt before: safe. I felt like I was okay for the first time in years. Even though I didn’t know the staff yet, there was this warm welcome. They showed me love and made me feel accepted something I had never truly felt since getting caught up in the street life.Their compassion gained my trust, and eventually I started to open up and do some real work. I graduated… but I relapsed, and at 22 years old I ended up back at MRC. Even though I slipped, something from that first time stuck with me. Throughout my relapse, I couldn’t stop thinking about how I felt when I was there — how peaceful I was, how hopeful I was. My wishes, my ambition, the part of me that wanted to live again… it all came back. Spiritually I felt lighter, and I craved that feeling again. I knew I couldn’t do it alone. Going back to MRC was the best decision I’ve ever made. This program is designed for success when it comes to addiction and alcoholism. They don’t just treat the symptoms — they help you get to the root of the problem, and that’s what makes them different from any other treatment center out there. Every single person who works at MRC has a heart of gold and a true passion for this work.I’m alive today because of Memphis Recovery Center.

My daughter struggled with addiction for 30+ years. After many attempt to get and stay clean & sober w brief treatment in & out patient, MRC’s intense in patient treatment was what she needed to work thru so much of… what had her stuck in such the vicious cycle of addiction. She celebrates over 2yrs clean & sober, using the skills she gained to live a successful life.free of drugs & alcohol, paying forward and helping other addicts to achieve the same. So grateful to have her back. Families can & do recover w support! Thank you MRC

Memphis Recovery Center will always hold a special place in my heart. My sister came here during one of the hardest seasons of her life, and it was through the care, compassion, and structure of this program that she… was able to begin her journey toward healing and restoration. What meant the most to me was that they didn’t just focus on the person who was struggling—they cared about the family, too. The family group sessions gave us a safe place to speak honestly, learn how to heal together, and rebuild our relationship with understanding instead of judgment. Those meetings helped us reconnect in a way that felt real and lasting. I can honestly say they paved the way for the reunion between my sister and me. Today, I get to watch her step into a new life—stronger, healthier, hopeful—and I am so grateful for the foundation Memphis Recovery Center helped her build. This place doesn’t just offer treatment; it offers support, community, and a chance at true transformation. I will forever be thankful for the role they played in our story.

5 stars is not enough for MRC. This place truly saved my life and guided me on a much better path. MRC allowed me the time I needed to learn how to change my behavior. The staff are amazing and dedicated. They didn't… just follow a protocol; they showed genuine compassion and empathy, treating me with dignity and respect throughout the entire process. I saw firsthand how tirelessly they work. From the clinical team to the kitchen and support staff, everyone is focused on the patient's long-term success. I am eternally grateful for the foundation they helped me build.

If you are struggling with addiction, especially if you have tried again and again to find your way to recovery but haven't had the right tools or support, THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU. If you're wondering how I could… possibly be so confident as to make such a bold statement, let me briefly explain. I am a recovering addict myself, what one would call a "low bottom" , meaning I have experienced years of devastating consequences, physically, mentally , socially AND spiritually. After losing everything, including my self respect, my relationship with my children, and very nealy losing my life itself, I found myself at Memphis Recovery Center as a requirement of the judicial system. So, no , I did not "volunteer " to be admitted ...but after my time there, and fully participating in every aspect of the program, I am nothing short of a completely different person. I do not say that lightly. I am now successfully working my program in my community, have real friends and support, work as a department manager, pay my bills, see and help support my children, have a personal relationship with my higher power and ACTUALLY ENJOY LIVING LIFE. I am back to creating music and art, volunteering to help those who still suffer and have many more plans for the future. I am incredibly grateful on a daily basis, and I give thanks to God, the support of the program, and especially to MEMPHIS RECOVERY CENTER. They loved me until i could (truly) love myself, called me on my nonsense and taught me REAL tools to make the miracle happen . They are fully staffed with loving people who do this because they believe in it. Most of them are either in recovery themselves OR have immediate family members who are recovering or active addicts. These people laughed, cried and worked with me on a daily basis. A special shout out to my primary therapist, Sam...she was the first person I ever opened up to about alot of things, and she personalized my treatment to fit me and me alone. She, and all her colleagues, went out if the way to help heal me and find the best version of myself. I am forever grateful. The program facility also is clean, well decorated, safe and has an excellent cook! Ms. Tiffany, the program director, is hands on and fully involved with each of the patients. She knows every resident by name and makes herself available upon request. I could go on to tell you about each amazing person on staff there, and how many resources and classes are available, but it would take longer than any review should ever be. Suffice it to say, Memphis Recovery Center CHANGED MY LIFE..AND IT WILL CHANGE YOURS TOO. It isn't easy, but nothing genuine and lasting ever is.

Memphis Recovery saved my life. They get to the root of the problem. I would recommend mrc to anyone that is truly ready for a new life. They taught me how to live life on life's terms and without drugs. Thats what this… recovery deal is all about and it starts with a new way of thinking and that's what they focus on there. They taught me just how much the small things matter in life. With that I am truly grateful for that place. It is a very intense program but for me that's what I needed. They saved my life. Thank you to memphis recovery and all the staff there.

I am truly grateful that I chose to send my 16 year old son to MRC. Eleven months ago, I made one of the hardest yet best decisions of my life in seeking treatment for him. In the beginning, during his first few months… there, I often questioned if I had made the right choice. The program was strict and highly structured, and as a parent, that was difficult to witness. But I reminded myself that it was far better for him to be in a safe, supportive environment than risking his life every day through substance use and the lifestyle that came with it. MRC was able to reach my son in ways I could not. When he entered, he was broken, without direction or goals. Today, thanks to MRC, he has returned home as a young man with ambition, clear goals, and a desire to build a better life for himself. He came home transformed. Since completing the program, he has continued to thrive, maintaining his sobriety and learning how to communicate in healthy, constructive ways. I am deeply thankful to all of the staff at MRC for their dedication, guidance, and willingness to be firm when it was needed most. You have truly saved my son’s life, and for that, I will always be grateful. Great job, MRC!

Recovery truly happens on the wing but the staff is judgmental and the micromanaging is overwhelming. I recommend it for patients who need the 6 month program but if you go in stat like I did be prepared to get no… attention from the staff unless you are breaking a rule. Support only comes from the peers if you get as lucky as I did. The CEO has a kind heart and some staff are amazing but those counselors have their picks and will push buttons and ignore you then make it seem u are wrong for wanting to leave. Well I left and I’m happy because my kids needed me more than they thought. I had 7 days but I’d rather be here sober and happy with my kids than there in a toxic environment triggered because of their ego trips. I’ll continue my recovery on my own but thanks for the start!!!! Everybody is not a criminal some of us are just hurting and need support!!!!!!

I went here in 2020. This place really helped change my life for the better after I surrendered. The counselors in this facility are all mostly in recovery themselves and are very relatable . This place taught me a lot of structure, addiction therapy, radical acceptance ,how to be a member of society again, and mental health. The people in the office were nice and helpful also.
