Sunspire Health Florida – Plant City Detox and Rehab Services

The provision listed at Sunspire Health Florida – Plant City is detox and residential treatment. Medical supervision covers the withdrawal period, where alcohol and benzodiazepines carry real risk. The right level of care is a clinical judgement rather than a preference, and an assessment should produce a defined answer.

The listing records a single focus rather than combined treatment, so anyone needing both should confirm what is available. Approved medication is paired with counseling and regular review. Ask what a typical week involves before committing, since the schedule determines whether the program is workable alongside work or family.

Predatory Business Model and Glaring Ethical Violations Before admitting a family member here, please investigate the corporate intersection between WhiteSands Rehab and ProBox TV Promotions, both controlled by the same… ownership infrastructure (Garry Jonas and Executive Owner/Attorney David Hatton). This facility operates an understaffed clinical program that consistently fails to provide adequate oversight, resulting in frequent patient relapses, unauthorized patient relationships (13th stepping), and even patients physically escaping the property. Rather than adjusting treatment plans clinically, the facility utilizes a recurring 30-day discharge-and-readmission cycle. Patients are systematically moved to their Hyde Park PHP location, where lack of supervision leads to rapid decompensation, only for the admission "operators" to target the vulnerable patient with high-pressure sales scripts to get them re-admitted and reset the insurance billing cycle. Furthermore, the physical infrastructure itself presents a massive environmental trigger. The rehab sits directly adjacent to the owners' commercial sports venue, the ProBox TV Events Center (formerly WhiteSands Events Center). While patients utilize the boxing gym for afternoon recreation, the facility operates bi-weekly televised events that pour and profit from alcohol sales to the public. The owners renamed the boxing venue to distance the ProBox media brand from the rehab, effectively hiding the moral contradiction of running a lucrative alcohol-serving enterprise right next to an active substance abuse population. The entire operation functions like a corporate supply chain moving insured individuals through a network to maximize billing codes while severely under-delivering on actual medical and psychiatric care. Highly unethical.

Every time I make a new account for a free YT Premium subscription I always leave a 5 star review for WhiteSands. I went three times and it was always so magical. It’s great during the winter months even more so. I was… just talking to a friend about WS and we were talking about how it’s such a vacation…. Wake up and walk to the common area with the breakfast buffet. Get a cup of coffee. Walk back to your room and get ready for the day. Process group. 11am group. Now it’s nap time. Afternoon group. Phone. Gym. Hit the buffet… again. Some sort of activity at 8pm. Now the day is almost over and you and your roommate agree on a movie… but first you’re a little hungry so grab a snack and walk around for a second. Anyways. My last time I was there I was a real brat because I was scared…. You know the real world hits fast. 40 hour work week. 5 meetings a week. Therapy. I’m off the Suboxone now, also. Anyways just I think I’m so melancholic about WS is it always because a beacon of Hope. From my first time to the third time I usually arrive in trash bags spun out. And I don’t plan on relapsing. But I made the mistake of going to a treatment center on the East Coast and the entire time I was there I kept saying “You’re not doing this right. You get a vape! Where’s the vape? Where’s the nightly activity? Where’s the community?” The therapist and counselors are actually top tier. Case Managers actually are hands on there. Sometimes I just get so flustered with life I wish I could just go back to WhiteSands and take a break. It’s literally the only reason I pay my insurance premiums.

Incredibly grateful for my stay at WhiteSands. This is as close to five star that you'll get with Florida Blue. Received amazing therapy with Maria, she's an asset to the company! Also thanks to Lawrence, Donald, Anna,… Eric, Mike, and Keshawna for group sessions. I've been here before, and they've improved! Amazing case management, medical (including nurses), psych, dietary, gym facilities, and extra activities to keep things interesting. WS has everything you need to begin the healing process and enjoy your stay. I leave with the tools for a successful recovery.

One of the best rehabs I have been too. I have been to. Therapist Maria is amazing. There is always more than 1 group to choose from and information is broken down in interactive and easy to understand way. Groups are… led by very knowledgeable therapist. Staff and nurses amazing as well! Director does not hide behind a door. Beds are comfy, tvs in room , gym and pool. Food isn't bad. They meet you were you are but dont leave u there. Mark B lead nighttime BHT checked me in and was so kind and patient I wanted to leave and because of his kindness and understanding I stayed so glad I did

I went there with hope… but couldnt handle the mold in the showers and cockroaches ..the boiling point was when i saw another person snot rocketed into the pool.they strip search you like your a convicted criminal… Once… i announced i wanted to leave the tone changed and i called my mom to find out they told her she should marchman act me luckily she has a brain and disregarded it they wanted me to go to one of their other locations to make money. Clearly. I brought a brand new suitcase with hopes And dreams of a better life for them to take no care and leave all the walgreens products with oil opened so it would get all over my clothes… they kept my sunglasses and brand new eye cream that was expensive and pretend they dont know where it is . And to top it off another girl they kicked out told me they broke hippa and destroyed her luggage as well and told them about all my problems and my addiction issues. Yes i have problems and seeked help .. however.. this was not it . Where is the money going.. because they could have new chairs in the group rooma easily. Rant over

READ THIS -THE BEST DETOX AND TREATMENT CENTER IN FLORIDA! There are people that will complain about every rehab. And that's because they don't take their sobriety serious! BUT AS FOR THIS PLACE, NOTE: I have struggled… with alcohol for many years of my life , and I have had to come here a few times. Every single time the staff is VERY knowledgeable , caring and understanding. The rooms are constantly clean everyday! The food is exceptional. They have activities in the evenings from volleyball, to the gym! You're able to get your phone after classes. The pool is a major plus because other facilities don't have that!!! BIG SHOUT OUT TO BRANDY (the hardest wkr, give her a raise) / DANNY / AMANDA / MARYLAND (front desk) / DEBORAH / O'SHEA / all the female techs / the great medical staff / FOR THE RECORD- THE MAN BEHIND THE SCENES-- "JASON".. These people have been through it, and they know sobriety! I have been sober, got a new job, all three of my kids and grandkids talk to me, & my gal is in love with me all over again! THESE ARE THE REWARDS OF GETTING SOBER💪😎👌❤️💯🌴

I give this place 5 stars because it truly saved my life. I went here in October of 2025 and have been sober ever since. Everyone here treated me with so much kindness. From the administration to the BHT’s, I felt all… the love I needed. I was able to find peace within myself and know who I am as a man. I will forever have love for this place. 8 months sober and forever to go! ❤️

I have been here about a couple of weeks One thing I have learned is if you are really serious to stay sober this is the place this facility is not about making money of patience it's about making sure the patients stay… sober and leave here with the right tools I highly recommend this place. To have so many nice people around the clock that it helps the patience for example Debbie she's one of therapists and she really cares about their patients. Then we have Megan which she is sweetheart she walks around Help the patients she has helped me with my FMLA and short time disability she has called the company quite a few times on my behalf she does wonderful job and Chelsea is very kind follows up be patience about their needs. from the day that I got here. Mr Elijah has helped me through my admission and my everyday needs all the staff are very friendly The nurses are wonderful The doctors are the greatest.

Nisha R. is the most amazing BHT in the known universe. Her attention to detail, service, and care she gives to her patients is top shelf. She makes my day every day and always goes above and beyond!!! For example:… Nisha brought me food when I wasn’t feeling my best, always checked on me and made sure I was well taken care of and made me feel special. She remembered my name immediately, and that’s highly unusual when you don’t go by your first name in a place like this. She overheard me talking to another patient about my shower-head in my room spraying everywhere and it was immediately fixed without me even asking for maintenance! I’d like to also recognize Cassandra in nursing as she brings the same type of attention and care to her patients, and I know I’m not the only one that feels that way. She is a delight and always cheers me up when I walk in to nursing. Therapists Thomas and Courtney are by far the best and most effective I’ve ever been around and I’ve been through quite a few. They’ve taught me useful things that have served me well in here, and I know will serve me well for years to come. My case manager Zach has been extremely reliable as well and always on the ball.

White Sands saved my life in February and continues to do so to this day. If you are looking for help and are finally willing to reach out, there is no better option than White Sands. The staff at White Sands, many of… whom are serving others as a way to they themselves stay clean, are absolutely amazing. Their desire is to pick you up, dust you off, and watch you grow. From the moment you arrive at inpatient they do their best to get you in and comfortable. Each day gets easier and there is not one person who couldn't benefit from their MRT program. In outpatient the IOP program and individual counseling teaches and strengthens you by offering a different way to live. The counselors truly care and want to see you succeed. It isn't easy to ask for help and it isn't a sign of weakness. If you're willing to admit you need help, White Sands is the place to turn to.

My experience with WhiteSands in Plant City truly changed my life. I was there in October 2025, and I can honestly say that choosing their program was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. From the moment I arrived,… I felt supported and understood. The staff was professional, compassionate, and genuinely cared about my recovery. The programs were well-structured and gave me the tools I needed to not only get sober but to stay sober. They focus on both the mental and emotional side of recovery, which made a huge difference for me. What really stood out was how personalized everything felt. I wasn’t just another patient—they took the time to understand my situation and helped me build a strong foundation for a better future. Today, I’m still doing great and living a sober life, something I wasn’t sure was possible before. WhiteSands gave me a second chance, and I’m incredibly grateful for everything they’ve done for me. If you’re looking for a place that truly cares and can help you turn your life around, I highly recommend them.

DO IT. If your thinking you have a problem DO IT I came in White sands a broken, hopeless, soulless man. The fear of the unknown. But I'll tell you in my experience in this treatment facility was something I'll never… forget. From day one which was kind of blurry but I do remember everybody from the staff (BHTs), nurses, therapists, case managers, discharge managers, and the community was so welcoming. You have a roof over your head there's food breakfast at 6:00 a.m. lunch at 12:00 p.m. dinner at 6:00 p.m. you got a gym boxing thanks Ray karaoke bingo there's a basketball court volleyball court and a pool. The case manager Brandy was always there to help me out with all my concerns that I was trying to straighten up like my licensing disability next move after and gave me advice and Hope. All the therapists had just a genuine care for all the clients I learned the most about myself and just a short amount of time and I'm forever grateful to everyone at White sands. THEY HELP ME FIND MYSELF THE BEST THING I EVER DID........

If i could leave a less than 1 that is what I would give. do not send your love one to this place. In vetting this company for my son they told so many lies to get him in the door. I asked all the right questions before… making my decision on this place. they told me that my son would be there for extended period of time, after going through the 30 day process he would be then placed in sober living and be gone from 6 mths to a year. Upon arriving there he was fully released in 30 days and i was told by his therapist they don't have sober living and there was nothing left there for him but to send him home. He has since pass away and if they had provided the truth in the first place he would have never gone there and would still be here with me. There were so many untruths given that every call was different person and a different answer. I will continue to leave horrible reviews for this place to spread the word. I have contacted the state officals and consulting with attorneys. He came home worse than when he left. Rehab is to help, they only care about how many beds they can charge insurance for. I will not stop until there has been justice for myself and my son. You all should be ashamed of yourselves and Karma (thats me) are coming for you. DO NOT SEND YOURSELF OR ANYONE TO THIS PLACE!!!!!
