Landeskrankenhaus Hall – Innsbruck

I am very satisfied with the surgical care at the Hall State Hospital. A big thank you to the doctor for his expert care and to all the nursing staff for their friendliness and helpfulness. Many thanks to the whole team!

Friendly and helpful

Unfortunately, I can't give a positive review of the emergency room today. A five-hour wait! Even though it wasn't really busy (see photo). The doctor treating me simply said she didn't have time.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Dr. Gernot Ortner and Dr. Brigitte Schwaiger for the outstanding performance of my surgery on July 7, 2026. My heartfelt thanks also go to the entire operating room,… outpatient clinic, and ward team. The care I received was highly professional, incredibly empathetic, and warm at every stage. You truly put the patient first. Thank you so much for the successful surgery and the wonderful support!

I had my first-trimester screening with Dr. Lebar in the gynecology department. Although the examination took a little longer because my baby was in a somewhat awkward position, I felt well cared for the entire time.… All my questions were answered thoroughly, and the results were explained in detail. I would have the examination done here again without hesitation. It's a real shame that the Hall Regional Hospital doesn't also offer the organ screening.

Unfortunately, my experience in the urology department was very disappointing. I went there three times in total and had to wait between four and six hours each time. In the end, the consultation or treatment with the… doctor lasted less than a minute. The fact that the same situation occurred on all three visits unfortunately highlights significant problems with appointment scheduling and the way patients' time is managed. It's incomprehensible that one has to wait for several hours when the actual examination or consultation only takes a very short time. I sincerely hope that the hospital management takes this problem seriously and improves the procedures and appointment scheduling so that waiting times for patients are significantly reduced.

My girlfriend was cared for by a dark-skinned male nurse (black hair, tattoo) who was very friendly and competent. I would wish that if I were to go to the hospital, he would personally attend to me.

Clearly laid out, good guideline system. Staff friendly and helpful. I visited a patient in Building 14. New building, bright, spacious. It could use a bit more decor (art/color/plants). Some of the rooms feel… bare/empty. The ward had a visitor/common area. This was spacious with several chairs and tables. There was even the option to sit on the terrace. Furthermore, it's clear on the ward (surgery) that patient well-being is the top priority. Thank you very much.

The emergency room is like playing the lottery; some days the nurses and doctors are incredibly nice and helpful, other days it's a complete disaster. Dr. Koller, for example, is a very good, competent young doctor, but… his colleagues, with whom I had my follow-up appointment, were all unmotivated and, in my opinion, completely incompetent. I had a check-up and had to wait 2.5 hours for 30 seconds of "treatment": No, the cast has to stay on. The MRI wasn't even looked at, I wasn't examined or treated, and changing the cast was too much effort for the young woman; I was told to come back next week.

I had two procedures at the Hall in Tirol Regional Hospital in December 2024, followed by several check-ups in 2025. I continue to receive excellent care there, from all the doctors and nurses to the registration staff,… etc. I am very satisfied and would like to thank everyone again most sincerely for the wonderful treatment and care. ❤️ The Hall in Tirol Hospital is truly the best; I always go there, even though I don't live in Tirol.

I can only comment on the urology and specialist ward, but the team does a fantastic job. I felt very well cared for during my two hospital stays. Thank you so much for your work!

The secretarial staff in building 10 don't want to work and don't know anything at all; some of them are really lazy employees. The hospital has a lot of them.

Excellent reception, superb treatment, compassionate doctors—I can only give the highest praise! (Nevertheless, a sad place, as my entire family died here 🎩✝️)

I had surgery at the hospital and was very satisfied. I would especially like to thank Dr. Ortner and Dr. Fritz and their team for the excellent care.

I would like to express my appreciation. I was in the hospital for a total of 13 days, 6 of which were in intensive care. The nursing staff were very caring and did a tremendous job; they were kind and friendly. The… doctors also did everything they could for me. I was at Hall Hospital again and once more found that it's the best place for me to be cared for. A huge thank you to everyone, from the cleaning staff and all the nurses to the doctors, who do an outstanding job and… are always extremely friendly and attentive, ensuring everything runs smoothly. The surgeries are also performed exceptionally well, and you feel safe and in good hands. Thank you again for the excellent, quick surgery, and please keep up the great work. Cumbersome with routing slips

I delivered a medical device for medical technology from Vienna first thing this morning. I've been using these devices professionally for some time now, visiting hospitals and doctors... You have by far the friendliest… medical technician I've ever encountered!!!! Mr. David 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I went to the orthopedic/traumatology department with my mother after a cat bite. I can only say the best about it. Everyone was very friendly, and the young doctor was very competent and exhausted all possible… examinations. A heartfelt thank you to this team.

I am very disappointed with my visit to the emergency room. Instead of receiving help, I was treated disrespectfully and inappropriately by the staff. I was asked accusingly why I was there at that time and why I hadn't… gone to Innsbruck. Such behavior is completely unprofessional and unacceptable. Regardless of stress or workload, patients should be treated with respect. No one deserves to be spoken to like that in an already stressful situation. I hope this behavior will be taken seriously and addressed.

An absolute outrage. The doctor preferred looking at racing bikes to discussing my diagnosis with me…

I went with my partner because of a difficult situation. The "doctor" basically told us to go home, without doing any tests whatsoever. Inside the consultation room, she got up mid-conversation and started pacing with… her colleagues. A horrible experience. Thanks to this experience, I don't trust the Austrian healthcare system, so unfortunately, we have to return to our country, Spain, so that a specialist can see him and do the necessary tests, since they actually take human life more seriously there. We moved here for work, thinking that everything would be much better in this country, but dedication and compassion in healthcare are sorely lacking. It's awful to have to return to our home country just to have a few tests done and speak with a specialist; it's just awful.

I had a hernia operation in June 2020 and everything went very well. Many thanks to the whole team! I work in nursing myself and know how demanding the job can be, but you were fantastic! 👍

On behalf of my father, Herbert Erler, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the entire team at Hall Hospital. After my accident, in which I suffered a fractured femur and a hip injury, I received… outstanding care from the very first minute. I immediately felt safe and well cared for – something that means an incredible amount in such a situation. A special thank you goes to the operating room team, who did a fantastic job. I was equally impressed by all the nursing staff and the therapist – everyone was not only highly competent but also exceptionally dedicated, friendly, and attentive. Even though it was a very busy time and the daily work is undoubtedly extremely demanding, you managed to make us patients feel none of it. This professionalism, combined with genuine warmth, deserves the utmost respect. Thank you so much for your outstanding work and tireless dedication – you make a real difference!

Today, March 18, 2026, I went to the Hall Regional Hospital because I felt what I thought was a kind of "cartilage" at the level of my lumbar vertebrae. After waiting an hour and a half in the surgery department, I was… finally seen. The doctors told me in an unfriendly tone that there was nothing there, and even an ultrasound couldn't detect anything. Since I couldn't believe this, I then went to a private clinic in Rum, where it turned out that I have mild scoliosis, which is causing the vertebra to press on something. I find it outrageous that you can't even go to a hospital these days because they simply don't take anything seriously...

A skiing trip unfortunately ended with a broken femur. Thanks to all the staff from the various departments—from the emergency room and operating theater to the monitoring staff and the orthopedic nursing staff (truly… everyone)—I was able to be transported back to Germany after five days. Thank you all 🙏 and may God support and protect you in your precious work 👨‍⚕️👩‍⚕️🏥❤️‍🩹
