Foco Saúde, trading as Foco Saúde Vida GO, is a private residential therapeutic community in Vidago, a spa town in the Chaves municipality of Vila Real district, treating alcohol and drug dependence in adults. Foco Saúde Detox and Rehab Services
Foco Saúde provides three stages of care: medically supervised detox, a residential therapeutic community programme of at least 90 days, and aftercare arranged through partner associations and companies. The community treats alcohol and chemical dependencies and manages co-occurring mental disorders in an integrated way, with a psychiatrist monitoring treatment alongside the therapeutic team.
Day to day, residents have psychiatric consultations, individual psychological counselling and group therapy that includes practical relapse-prevention exercises, plus personal development activities. The town’s thermal waters are used as a treatment resource, and daily walks and outings are always accompanied by a monitor. Mobile phones are allowed at set times, internet access is by agreement, smoking is limited to designated areas and visits are scheduled in advance.
