Pilsen Wellness Center Inc – Stone Park

I have mixed feelings on this clinic. Pros: The staff is great overall. Andre, Katie, Nikki, and (most of) the counselors are very helpful and nice. The clinic itself is always clean and the location is easy to get to.… The hours are decent also. They have groups available which is nice, but they don't require them. They also have a psych doctor on site if you need to see one. They don't push you to detox, they let you decide when you're ready. That's a big plus, because I've heard horror stories where clinics just decide you've been there too long and taper you on their own schedule. Cons: If you're on Medicaid, they don't allow you to get more than 1 weeks worth of takehomes. They also make you do supervised UA's with a counselor staring at you in a tiny bathroom full of mirrors. It's really awkward and a lot of people have trouble going because of that. It reminds me of probation or parole. No other clinic that I've ever been to (6 clinics in 2 different states) have ever required someone to watch you drop. They also do random bottle checks/call backs every single month. It gets ridiculous and very inconvenient after a while, especially if you've been clean for a long time. Most other clinics either don't do them at all or do them a couple times a year max. I find some of the rules over the top and frustrating, especially for the people that have been clean for years. I have been considering switching because of the unnecessary rules they have. For the most part I like this clinic though and will always be grateful that it helped me get clean. 🙏🏻

Don't go to the 5th ave place in Maywood. Come here instead. Very nice, friendly, flexible and understanding people here. They don't treat you like crap or make you feel weird and that speaks volumes of importance to… the people that need these programs.

I have been going to this clinic for about 3 years. I have switched counselors a few times but every one of them has been accommodating and helpful. I haven’t had any issues here but I have also been clean since I… started attending this clinic. If you are really want to get and stay clean this place will help you; just have to do what you are supposed to do.

They do not care about your sobriety they are there to collect a check period

Forcing patients to urinate in front of you. Lowering someone's dosage as punishment is making America's drug problem WORSE. You're not helping drug addicts, you're making it worse. Shame on this company.

1 out 2 1.5-STARS Pilsen Clinic is a very good clinic to get stable & clean on your demons that are you're addressing every day outside this world .I give Pilsen 9 out of 10 ratings .And I'm going to explain why .This… clinic cares About their patience, yes, they do have rules .I went through these rules. You need a bring in a carrying case with a lock to pick up your medicine .You need three drops .To gain 1 code, I've been there, done it and again. people make mistakes .Unfortunately in order for you to gain a code ,You have to earn that code .So I understand 3- drops, yes? If you lose your code that's on you, well then you have to do it again, You learn from your mistakes .I've been clean for 10 years and I'm very happy of my outcome. This place saved my life. The counselors, yes, I went through many. Each one, we're different. But you know what? They care about you. They do what they have to do to make sure your clean & stable #2 no stars {--4 WALL SIZE MIRROR IN MEN & WOMENS RESTROOMS--} This is a public clinic.People are not sent here, court ordered. This is not a parole office or a probation office.Nor a jail.This is against your rights as a person.Four mirrors in the washroom. Might as well put them on the ceiling.We have our rights.You have broken our rights.I believe there should be a class action lawsuit against whom?Ever put them in there?The person that I believe the director.Everybody that's coming here, you need to take action.Don't let them take your rights away from you.It's against the law for your privacy to even be broken.Remember, they do have rules.But now they broken the rules.By taking.Our rights away from us, treating us like animals.In the washroom.To take a drug test, we are not animals. We are not dogs. We are freaking human beings.Trying to make a better life for ourselves.

Real nice staff. Very professional and knowledgeable about the services they have. To many places have to many employees that don't understand this line of work. I'm so happy I came here! My counselor is amazing. I'm lucky enough to not be one of the patients who's councilor didn't stay long. Katie is seriously the best.

Whatch out for stone park cops they see you walk out the clinic you are poped you will be guilty of being in recovery 3rd person arrested walking out today and that's what ive seen in past year

Very friendly and respectful staff. The security guard is cool as a fan and counselors really care and show concern for ppl like me.. best clinic I've ever been to.. and trust me I been to them all. I'm 37 and been… doing this since I was 14.

Thoughtful, caring, and professional help. I love this place.

Horrible experience. It takes forever to earn take home bottles and you lose them in a heartbeat over pettiness. If I actually dropped dirty that would be understandable but I didn't. Rules are always changing without… prior notification and rather than be helpful they caused me pain, stress, anxiety and grief. The receptionists are rude! The counselors that want to help have their hands tied and refer everything to their supervisor. Supervisor doesn't help and is conveniently never there when needed.

It's a good place to get recovery at but you need to be more group meetings are very important for someone's recovery especially mine but overall it's a good place for recovery
