Triora – Kliniek Den Haag (Monsterseweg) Reviews
Former residents, family members who supported someone through a stay at this Triora clinic, or professionals who have referred clients here are encouraged to leave a review describing their experience of the programme.
Beyond reviews, it’s worth considering the clinic’s use of peer workers alongside clinical staff as part of its model, and asking directly what a typical admission and discharge process looks like, and how family involvement is handled during an inpatient stay.
My recovery started here, and now, two years later, I am still reaping the benefits. The guidance was top-notch for me, and it was an intense and sometimes confronting seven weeks. But it was necessary, and the… beginning of my new chapter.
A scandalous clinic with amateurs and volunteers at work has ruined my treatment. I was forcibly discharged twice, with an arrest team present, by two blonde female colleagues. One of them was sent away to The Hague… because she had a relationship with her patient, and the other is still working there, I believe. However, thanks to the complaints committee, I won both cases and received €1,000 in compensation. A blonde with an irritating voice dresses offensively to lure patients and was transferred from Hoofddorp to The Hague. Andee ensured during my second admission that I could not complete my follow-up program in The Hague in order to protect her colleague. Now I am at another clinic for help, and I warn people who will receive treatment there to watch out for staff who play a cat-and-mouse game, falsely accuse you, and can throw you out. So don't fall for it and file a complaint.
I registered, and was immediately told that admission was absolutely not an option for me. I spoke with Lisa for an hour, then with a doctor for an hour. Both were promising. The following week, I didn't get a call,… despite promises. So I called myself. "The doctor is sick, I'll call next week." Unfortunately, I had to call again the following week. 19 days (!) after the intake, I received a call telling me that I could only be helped if I was admitted. When I again indicated that this wasn't an option, I was told they would "get back to my doctor and discuss other options." I would receive a copy of the email. I never heard anything back. At my AA meeting, two other people had the exact same experience with Triora. I wonder what's going on here and whether it's a financial issue? Unwillingness? Incompetence? Staff shortages? Do they understand at Triora that it's already a big step for someone to register? And that this can be a huge trigger? Not for me. Luckily, I was taken seriously at another clinic and I'm still sober. But that's thanks to me, not with Triora's help.
Worthless.. Communication is bad too!
After a 7-week stay, I am incredibly grateful to Triora and the Fellows for all the help, guidance, and love. Triora truly got my life back on the right track. I never could have done this on my own. Triora, I love you
Triora's approach works well; I am still clean after the process.
Triora uses a model based on behavioral science. The treatment method works well, and I've been clean for over a year now.
Terrible and poorly organized. Patients are given a lot of freedom and little structure. I understand that they are also stuffed full of medication that they are then used to negotiate with. My partner was there for 2… months and didn't have a single conversation with a supervisor/counselor. Additionally, it turned out that peer support workers make strange statements and label family members instead of addressing the addict themselves. Everyone who goes there eventually relapses. NOT RECOMMENDED!
