About Lives Lived Well – Toowoomba
Lives Lived Well’s Toowoomba service on Neil Street provides free alcohol and drug counselling, a day rehabilitation programme and support groups in Queensland. Specific support is listed for young people under 25 and for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, and the service accepts clients without a referral.
Day rehabilitation is what sets Toowoomba apart from the organisation’s smaller counselling offices: it runs through the day without a stay, so someone can take part and go home each evening. Group therapy and individual counselling are both listed. The office works Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm, and bookings go through 1300 727 957.

Lives Lived Well Alcohol and Drug Services
Counselling and a day programme are the two levels of care at the Lives Lived Well service in Toowoomba, with group therapy and individual sessions both listed. Support groups run from the Neil Street office as well, and the service names young people under 25 and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients as groups it supports.
The day programme is the most structured thing on offer here, sitting between weekly counselling and a longer programme elsewhere. Withdrawal management and prescribed medication are not set out for Neil Street, and no substance list is given, so the intake team is the place to ask how the day programme is scheduled and who it suits.

Lives Lived Well Reviews
Reviews of the Lives Lived Well service in Toowoomba from around the web are limited, which is common for free government-funded alcohol and drug services. RehabSeekers hosts reviews for this Neil Street site, and anyone who has attended counselling, a support group or the day programme is welcome to share their experience.
The day programme is the part a first-hand account would illuminate most: how long the days ran, what the group was like, and whether the structure helped. Younger clients and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients would also be describing something the organisation’s general online presence says very little about.
Was supporting someone who was at the Toowoomba facility and was not improving so I contacted them to let them know but they said they could not disclose details of their treatment - which is fine from privacy - and I… stressed that this conversation remain confidential- however as soon as as they got off the phone the counsellor told this person I called and why - which broke the trust between me and the person I was supporting - this faculty it amateurish and do not hold the skills to be effective to rehabilitate someone with addiction. It’s fee so I guess you get what you pay for
