About Kedesh Rehabilitation Services

A multidisciplinary team of psychologists, counsellors, case managers and support workers delivers the programme.

Treatment is government-funded through New South Wales Health, and enquiries go to (02) 4222 1800.

Kedesh Rehabilitation Services Alcohol and Drug Services
Kedesh Rehabilitation Services provides residential rehabilitation as its single level of care, listed at eight weeks, for individuals aged sixteen and over. Cognitive Behaviour Therapy is the primary therapeutic modality, with other approaches used where the clinical team judges them useful for the psychological aspects of dependence.
Psychologists, counsellors, case managers and support workers make up the team, which the service describes as working together on each client’s plan. Withdrawal management, day programmes, outpatient counselling and aftercare are not listed at Kedesh, so withdrawal is completed elsewhere beforehand and continuing care arranged on discharge. Named medications and the specific substances treated are not set out publicly, so raise those at intake.

Kedesh Rehabilitation Services Reviews
Reviews of Kedesh Rehabilitation Services from around the web are limited, and what appears tends to describe the organisation generally rather than the eight-week programme at Berkeley. RehabSeekers hosts reviews for Kedesh, and anyone who has completed the programme is welcome to share their experience of it.
Because Kedesh also trains clinicians and hosts student placements, a reader may want to know how that feels from the client’s side. An account of the Cognitive Behaviour Therapy sessions, how case management worked over eight weeks and what was arranged for after discharge would help a younger client or a family decide whether to apply here.
Be careful, because don’t have any compassion. Made a small oversight about a script for one of my medications. Simple just kick me to the curb. Cost me $435 plus travel expenses. Leaving me homeless, thanks for the… grace of god things worked out. So just be careful, they take no accountability
Seriously do not take the narrative on the website as gospel. Treatment aspects promoted do not equate to Treatment delivered, particularly in relation to "flexibility", "client focused" and "tailored to client needs".… The topics in the groups delivered are quite good however the delivery leaves a lot to be desired The place maintains the old school rigid aspect of control and that is where "flexibility" comes into question. It's almost like banging your head against a wall to gain that "flexibility". Also the groups teachings are based upon CBT and DBT principles but you don't actually recieve CBT or DBT treatment. Everyone is treated pretty much the same even if you're there more for preventative reasons they still treat you as a die hard addict which reflects a lack of communication between intake and treatment staff and between treatment staff. Many clients there had hit rock bottom with nowhere to turn and were absolutely rock bottom. These clients praised every aspect of Kedesh simply cause better than being homeless and lost, lack of objectivity. And this is certainly taken advantage of by Staff and management. Benefit is if you've hit rock bottom then this place is better than other alternatives. Oh and they carp on about liability in refusing simple things yet the men's bathroom is an accident waiting to happen. Last thing they have a very tight budget which you are constantly reminded of hence if you wish to feel less important than the old furniture and fittings this is the right place.
Kedesh is a fantastic rehab, from the first phone call till admission it was a seemless process. Being in the program i felt at home. The groups are really helpful & have more insight to my addiction to cannabis. I met… a great bunch of people and the food is amazing with clients taking turns to cook for a week at a time, which i love cooking and brought some normalcy to my stay. Chores are performed by all clients given a job for the week. The staff are amazing and most have been past addicts themselves so they understand what you’re going through. I was in over the Christmas period and allowed to go home to the Central Coast to be with family. Weekends you’re allowed out of the facility with only a bus trip away from the free Berkley pool & local shopping centre, movies, bowling and many activities staff taking u by car. They also have netflix. I highly recommend kedesh if you’re looking for a supportive & homely environment. Good luck in your recovery!
