About Centro de Respostas Integradas de Viseu

Centro de Respostas Integradas de Viseu is the public outpatient addiction service of ICAD, I.P. for fifteen municipalities of Viseu district, based on Rua Cândido dos Reis. Its treatment team sees individuals with alcohol and illicit-drug dependence at no charge, a treatment and reintegration team supports the return to daily life, and a prevention team works in the community.

Coordinator Patrícia Monteiro leads the CRI, whose catchment is Aguiar da Beira, Carregal do Sal, Castro Daire, Mangualde, Mortágua, Nelas, Oliveira de Frades, Penalva do Castelo, São Pedro do Sul, Santa Comba Dão, Sátão, Tondela, Vila Nova de Paiva, Viseu and Vouzela. The Polo de Viseu treatment team is at number 22, with the head office and the ‘CLICK’ youth consultation across the street at number 17. In June 2026 the unit started a group alcohol literacy programme for individuals already followed as outpatients. Anyone can phone to ask for an appointment; nobody stays on site.

Centro de Respostas Integradas de Viseu offers outpatient treatment for alcohol and illicit-drug dependence through the Polo de Viseu treatment team, a treatment and reintegration team, prevention work and group programmes, including an alcohol literacy programme for outpatients that began in June 2026. The ‘CLICK’ youth consultation assesses, follows and intervenes early with adolescents and young adults.

The youth consultation, formally the Gabinete de Avaliação, Acompanhamento e Intervenção Preventiva, is held at Rua Cândido dos Reis 17 on Monday and Wednesday afternoons from 14:00 to 17:00 and Friday mornings from 09:00 to 13:00. The CRI also trains health, education and social-intervention professionals on addictive behaviours. Individual therapies and medications are not itemised publicly, and services are in Portuguese; where more intensive care is needed, the team refers onward within the public network.
