About HERO Program – Opelousas
The HERO Program is a residential addiction treatment program for military veterans at 1649 Linwood Loop in Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana. New Beginnings Addiction Recovery Center, LLC runs it on a campus with resident bedrooms, a shared kitchen and living room, a media room, walking trails, a gazebo and a pavilion.
Veterans from every branch of the U.S. military are admitted, and residents go through recovery alongside other people who have served. Care follows a three-phase model, with a separate moral injury track. The program is licensed by the Louisiana Department of Health Health Standards Section and holds CARF accreditation for adult inpatient substance use treatment.

Treatment Services at HERO Program
HERO’s residential program is arranged in three phases, so veterans build confidence and take on more independence step by step as their stay goes on. Clinical care sits alongside peer support from fellow veterans, and the whole resident group is made up of people with military backgrounds.
Its moral injury program gives residents room to work through guilt, shame, grief and spiritual conflict that can follow military service. A transportation team drives residents to admissions, medical appointments and court appearances, and it handles the travel involved in discharge planning when a stay ends.

How Much Does Treatment at HERO Program Cost?
Out-of-pocket residential rehab in Louisiana tends to range from $6,000 to $25,000 a month. HERO’s own rates did not appear on its website on the day it was looked at, so the Louisiana range is only a general guide and not the program’s price or a quote.
Residential fees at HERO would be expected to take in the intake assessment, group therapy, individual counseling, and room and meals on the campus. Moral injury work and other specialized therapies, medication and lab tests could carry extra charges or might not be part of the program. HERO has not said what its fees include, so this is an expectation only; call HERO and get the quote itemised before deciding and to ask about pricing for your circumstances. No payment types or insurance carriers were named on the program’s website.

HERO Program Reviews
A residential program is hard to judge from the outside, however carefully the website is written. If you have been through HERO Program, writing down what happened helps the next person decide. It is listed as a three-phase program only for service members and veterans: residential with detox, then partial hospitalization, then intensive outpatient, with a moral injury program — worth confirming or correcting.
Who can review it: veterans and serving personnel and spouses and family, and VA and TriWest case managers. The questions people actually have are how withdrawal was managed, what a typical day looked like and how sessions fitted around work or childcare. Write about what actually happened rather than how it was meant to work.
