This place is amazing! Sobermans truly saved my life! I had been to 2 places before & unfortunately neither one helped in the long run. I was literally on the verge of destroying my entire life with an opioid addiction… & don’t even remember the days before detox or the first few days in detox, it was that bad. So while I was in detox, I was on the verge of hopelessness sitting in regret & overwhelmed by past trauma when someone came to me and said, your only option at this point is Soberman’s. I had never heard of them before, but at this point I’m willing to try anything so, let’s get it going as soon as I leave detox. All I can say is this place is magical! From the first night until the last I felt like I was exactly where I was supposed to be. For the first time in my life everything made sense & I felt safe because of Soberman’s way of doing things. The labyrinth has an energy like I’ve never felt before, it’s like everyone who had been there before left a little part of themselves to help those to come. The staff all have stories of their own & are some of the most beautiful human beings I’ve had the pleasure to be around. The Alumni are great & very supportive! I was fortunate enough while I was there to do 2 Alumni dinners, so I was able to meet a lot of them during the dinner. I’ve also had the pleasure of going to one dinner since I’ve been out which was fun. The Alumni are very supportive & always available, which is something I’ve never had before. A group you can always call on & they also have a weekly zoom call to check in too. Sobermans helped guide me to my recipe for success & I will forever be grateful! I’ve been Sober for 8 months now & have no desire to use, but if I do I now have the skills to deal with it in a healthy way. Thank You to everyone at Sobermans!
Soberman’s Estate was everything I needed for my recovery. The staff, the program, physical activity and culinary experience were top notch and essential. The program is well designed and worked better than I expected.… The staff is remarkable - professional, considerate and genuinely caring. My time there and being removed from alcohol for five weeks was everything I needed to remove my craving for alcohol. Soberman has changed my life in ways I never could have imagined. I feel confident, secure and grateful for my new life. I have reconnected with my family and friends. Thank you Soberman.
Yes, very professional staff, treatment, therapist, chefs were good! even the home cook did the best she could, and loved the horses of Course! Saturday morning hiking was fun to explore the trails of the nearby… mountain area!
I had a great experience overall and would recommend it to anyone wanted to jump start their sobriety!!
Very professional, great counselors, and a very good learning experience. Gave me structure and coping skills. Additionally, the psychiatric counseling was top notch.
When it came to the realization I needed help to overcome my addiction, I ended up choosing to go to Sobermans. I couldn't have been more grateful for this choice and the experience. I can't say enough about the… accommodations, setting, and food. However those things mean nothing without the proper staff. The best thing about Sobermans is their people. The care I received from each and every member of staff there was overwhelming. I've since returned for some aftercare and Alumni events, and upon my return, it feels like home. I would highly recommend Sobermans for any man that needs help with addiction or getting your mind cleared. I promise, if you put in the effort that their staff does, you will leave different person!
Soberman’s estate saved my life and the staff was tremendously amazing. I deeply appreciate their commitment to assisting individuals battling with depression and other addictions. Thank you Brady, Trish, Janice, Jody,… Allen and the entire staff.
My partner spent 9 weeks here last fall. Having tried other inpatient and outpatient programs, I can say that Soberman's truly helped him discover what life was worth living for. The staff and the care they provide are… top-notch. I think this place truly saved his life. From a family perspective, I really appreciated how they included me and others in his family in his care. The family support calls and the ability to do family therapy sessions helped me understand his journey better, but to also understand my role in all of this. Overall, I can't recommend Soberman's enough; we are grateful to be a part of their community!
I don’t know where I may be without Soberman’s estate. I’m so grateful to have finally learned what kept me from finding myself and learning to enjoy life in sobriety. The preparation I received to handle the challenges… of day to day life is immeasurable. The staff is second to none. I gained a second family and the tools needed to maximize a happy life with my family at home. I owe the rest of my life to the experience.
What a wonderful place! The staff was great! The amenities were top notch, it was a life changing “vacation”!! I wouldn’t be here today with out Sobermans
Life changing! Great staff, truly caring and remarkable people. I am a different person today because of my Dobermans experience!
I was at Sobermans Estate 2 years ago. I can not speak highly enough about my time there. Everyone from the staff to the other people in recovery with me provided amazing support. The support continues now. I dont know… that I would have been successful in recovery if not for Sobermans Estate. The time there not only only helped me get sober and repair relationships but also saved my life. Sobermans does not push a certain program. They provide the options and support for each individual to find their path to sobriety.
Sobermans is a place to learn about addiction and how to deal with life. I needed to work on self and my addiction. I did jump back into real life too quickly and results were not good. Listen to the professionals at… Soberman’s and give yourself time to get better. We all want to get back to life as quick as possible Jobs, businesses, family can wait. We will be better for all of these with a healthy frame of mind.
Before Soberman's, I didn't know how to spell self-care. With the help of the Soberman's staff/techs, cooks, clinical team and therapists, I have my life back. The idea of a 'personalized plan' was foreign to me, but… the clinical team truly pays attention to each man's individual needs, and the work on the 'mental' aspect of care is as important (if not more important) as the tools I learned for a healthier lifestyle. I am thankful for my time at Soberman's and certainly recommend them highly!!
Sobermans Estate saved my life! And gave me a new one to live! Ricky Argovitz
Miracles happen in this place. If you or your love ones are struggling with drugs or alcohol dependence this is the place to heal. I have worked in this industry for a number of years in medical detox and Rehabilitation… centers. I have seen many of my patients in and out again and again loosing their hope…I have also seen many successful stories here at Soberman’s, absolute everyone is invested in your healing journey towards recovery. Wholeheartedly I recommend this place.
As with many of the men who have attended Sobermans, I am business professional with years of business ownership, and business management. For many years I searched for a facility that catered to professional men. Not… to say that Sobermans is exclusive to mature business professionals, but it is definitely the right place for them. Some others have experienced Sobermans, and I think both parties in residence have benefitted from the diversity. I spent many years thinking that I was unique. I was not. I researched many facilities both nationally and internationally. I spent some time at three different facilities. In looking back on those experiences I realize that they had little chance of succeeding in preparing me for a sober life. I feel, that they have little chance of succeeding with anyone, unless that person has actually trashed their life to its lowest level, or were on the verge of a spiritual awakening. They just don’t work, and I am confident that their numbers regarding success are distorted. I personally know of only a few people out of hundreds that have actually maintained sobriety. Those few success stories were all a result of a spiritual awakening. This subject intrigued so much that I wrote my doctoral thesis on “addictions as they relate to spirituality”. So, why does the program at Sobermans work for many. The underlying reason is the basic concept provided by the founder, Mitch Prager, and is mirrored by all of his staff. The desert, where Sobermans is located, is a special place, that promotes optimism and natural healing. The amenities are 5 star, the food is 5 star, and the treatment sessions are all of high quality. The therapy sessions including equine, music, physical training, yoga, group and individual therapy, nutrition, and art, are all designed as an enjoyable experience, with an underlying treatment lesson. The staff is so much more qualified than the other facilities that I have reviewed, it is notable. In addition, they all have experience and a high level of compassion. Mitch, the owner, is present and even organizes outings such as hikes, cultural, outside meetings, shopping trips for the clients. Even the executives that are used to high quality food and travel amenities do not suffer here. The simple fact that electronics are allowed, based on self discipline, is an example of the trust and faith of the clients. I rarely saw this benefit abused, and quite frankly I would not succeed in a program that totally prohibited their use. It is not so much about availability, but it is more about denial. When you strip a man of the amenities and skill set that he has trained a lifetime to acquire, it will not end well. There is lots more to say, but I encourage all professional business men, and others, suffering from this terrible disease, to do your homework, and compare treatment facilities, and review their overall programs. I believe that the choice will be Sobermans. In my opinion, it is one of the top rated treatment facilities in the United States. Possibly the top rated one, when you compare results to cost of treatment. After spending 40 years in addiction, turmoil, and destructive living, all the while running a business and managing other people’s lives, something was bound to crack. It is now approaching seven months of sobriety. More significant is the fact that of the approximate thirty men that I crossed paths with while at Sobermans, at least 80% of them are maintaining their sobriety. The active alumnae association is also a contributor to the successes. Good luck! Doctor Steve, Oregon
