Rude Receptionist, for the emergency room and they’re charging me double emergency room and more x rays than I did? And they put on a splint that was super tight that cut off my circulation

I am done with this hospital. The nurses are all incredibly rude, the equpiment is faulty, they are unprofessional, constantly gossiping and laughing at patients having the worst days. They laughed at someone in… critical condition from a biking accident, saying "these kids won't stop falling off their bikes." They laughed at a child screaming that she was in pain and couldn't breathe, and didn't go help her. A man needed a nurse to turn off an alarm, and had to do it himself because they were nowhere to be found, and I found them on their phones, complaining and gossiping to each other. They are disrespectful, pretent to be nice for bedside manners, but really don't give a shit about you. If these are the people that are meant to save my life, I'd rather die. Update: told me to call them months ago, I called, got sent to voicemail, left one, never got a call back. Done three times now. I'm giving up on reporting the nurses to their HR, I hope soon they figure out how to be genuine human beings and not entitled, rude people.

I don’t write reviews but I am livid. If I could do zero stars I would. I was there for 8 hours total. 2 in the waiting room. And the rest sitting in an uncomfortable chair in a 5x5 room. Terrible bedside manner. Was… checked up on approx. 4 times. Absolutely ridiculous

7/20/2026 I was admitted here after a motorcycle accident and had to have multiple surgeries. The staff treated me so well and I couldn’t be more grateful for all that they did for me. I have an extreme phobia of… needles so it’s never easy if a healthcare worker has to deal with me but they were so kind and helpful. Every single nurse who took care of me were all amazing. Thank you all so much!!!! 9/1/2026 I literally left them a 5 star review my first time in here for my first two surgeries when I was on the third floor. Second time in for the next two surgeries on the second floor has been an absolute nightmare. I went to my checkup appointment and was sent back for emergency surgery due to a staph infection in my bones and blood causing them to have to reopen partially healed incisions. doctor Thompson was giving me a hard time with pain medicine after surgery saying “it’s the only reason I came to the emergency room” as if my surgeon didn’t tell me to get in there immediately for emergency surgery!!!! My nurse Nolan treated me like a piece of garbage for absolutely no reason. I was treated like a drug addict for needing medication after multiple (5) surgeries. Mind you I don’t drink, smoke, or do anything. If you have any other choice in hospitals go anywhere else! I have never been treated so poorly in my life. My nurse was an absolute joke who acted like an angry nurse who failed at trying to be a doctor. I’ve never seen a nurse on such a weird power trip. I can truly say I have never been treated worse by anyone in my entire life than I was treated in this hospital by doctor Thompson and nurse Nolan.

I will not be paying my bill I will contact my insurance to make sure they do not pay it thanks to a blond security guard who felt like she had to say I smell marijuana I need to check your pockets and proceeded to… empty my pockets without my consent she was doing it as if she was a police officer so I will not be paying any bill from this establishment.......

Worst experience ever! The staff was rude and acted as though they did not want to be there at all. I took my husband in for treatment, accompanied by my son, brother, and sister-in-law. I briefly stepped outside to the… car, and when I returned, my husband had already been taken to a back room. No one was allowed to accompany him. When I asked the nurse at the front desk for information, she said the nurse was unavailable and that she had absolutely no idea what was going on. I waited about 20 minutes until I saw the nurse go into the office. I approached the desk a second time to ask about my husband, and the nurse told me to sit down and that someone would come speak with me. I then saw a security guard walk into the room, look at us, and point his finger at us. It turned out that the nurse had called security and accused us of being rude and coming to the window too many times. The security guard said we could not continue asking questions, that my husband would not be released anytime soon, and that we all needed to leave. We were in complete shock because none of us had been rude or disrespectful. I had simply asked for information about my husband. I explained to the security guard that we were not being rude or loud and only needed information about him. He then told me to remain seated, not return to the front window, and stay there. About 15 minutes later, my husband walked into the waiting area. He explained that a security guard had escorted him to an exit on the opposite side of the building and told him, “You are free to leave.” My husband responded that he was not leaving through that door because his family was waiting for him in the lobby. As we were walking out, the same security guard, two nurses, and a doctor approached us in the parking lot. The doctor suddenly said that my husband had not been seen by a provider and should not have been released. The doctor then examined him right there in the parking lot and told us we were free to go. The entire situation was confusing, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable. We felt targeted and discriminated against by the staff and security guards. Their actions made us feel as though they did not care about my husband’s health, safety, or our right to ask basic questions about his care. I would not recommend this place at all. The most unprofessional experience ever.

I was up camping and haven't been eating, was vomiting and had diarrheawhen ever I did eat with sharp shooting pains in my stomach. Waited in the ER for 9 hours. Saw multiple people come and go and a lot that walked… out. I know it's an ER and the most critical come first but leaving a person in pain for 9 hours is ridiculous. Going to try and salvage this trip but, very disappointed in the efforts or lack of effort in the helping of this patient.

I went to the ER with symptoms of loss of strength in my arms and legs, shortness of breath, spinal pain between my shoulder blades and neck pain. They got me right in, it was pretty slow. It was somewhere between 6 and… 7 pm yesterday evening. The nursing staff was empathetic and very helpful. The ER doctor seemed kind and professional while she did her intake exam. Once she concluded her exam she told me I would be there a while because there were a number of test that were going to need to be done. Within just a few minutes the RN came in and did an amazing job on my IV. She got it in on the 1st try, which never happens. I was then taken for an CT scan which also went smoothly and the Techs were great.⁰

Lily was my CRN for most of my stay, and she was exceptional. She was attentive, gentle when cleaning my wound, and always made sure I was as comfortable as possible. Her kindness and professionalism made a difficult… experience much easier. Kendra was my night nurse for one of the nights. Unfortunately, my IV medications were delayed, and she wasn't as gentle when caring for my wound, which caused it to sting quite a bit. Overall, the staff at Flagstaff Medical Center did a great job helping me recover and get me back to good health. Despite the one negative experience, I'm grateful for the care I received.

I recently had a Heart attack followed by having two stents placed. Over the last five years I've been in three hospitals. By far this was the best experience I've had. Every single person I encountered was pleasant and… friendly. My nurses were amazing, two of the absolute kindest people I've ever met.

A family member was in FMC PACU and extended family traveled from Hawai'i, Tucson, Phoenix and across the country to see the family member, to be told we weren't allowed to wait in the identified PACU waiting room and… were required to only wait in the main entrance waiting room by the information desk. In addition, the info desk noted they chose which waiting rooms were rotated and allowed visitors, therefore if we went into the identified waiting room the day prior it wasn't an option for the same visitors the next day, although there were other visitors in the same waiting room. The info desk female chased me down the hall to berate me about other visitors in the waiting room and threatened to take away visiting privileges for the family member in the ICU/PACU. To have flown over 7hrs from overseas and to be told I wasn't permitted to wait in the specialized waiting room was extremely unprofessional, when other visitors were also in the waiting room. The staff in the specialty could have addressed any concerns with visitors in their own waiting room. The experience at FMC was extremely unprofessional and rude to family members traveling afar. Family members are present for an emergency, not to just hangout in a hospital. The last thing anyone needs in a stressful situation is to be treated rudely by staff. This isn't my first experience at FMC as a guest and it's left a horrible impression on me.

Was referred to ER due to having symptoms of everything spinning since Sat and high BP from urgent care. Triage got me right in and BP was 193/104. Took ekg and put me back in waiting room. Did not have to wait long and… was taken back to ER area. Nurse was awful! Acted like I was an inconvenience for being there. Bedside manner was crap! Very abrupt. Put on leads and hooked me up. BP was 183/103. Nurse was going to draw labs and left tourniquet on for more than 2 min while she got things together to do draw. Told her it was hurting and she got pissed and abruptly untied it. Could not even draw my blood. Said I was dehydrated and left. An RN came in, very nice!! He had no trouble getting labs and putting in iv. Sat there for over an hour waiting. Nothing hooked to iv but sure I will be charged for it. Called tech so I could go to the bathroom. Came back and sat there for over 15 min with no one coming back to hook me back up to monitor. Finally doctor came. I was so pissed and so freaked out. I am sure he was a good doctor but he kept referring my symptoms to what his wife has told him (she is an ent). Nothing came from him, but his wife’s expertise. He dx me with vertigo ‘probably’ caused by a virus. He prescribed me with diazepam, which is meant for other issues, however he felt it would ‘relax everything in my head’. I asked about my BP and he felt it was related to the virus and how I was acting. Of course I am freaked, scared… but I did NOT feel I was treated right nor were my symptoms of any concern to them. I have been told by many friends in the medical field that I should have been prescribed something that would help with my symptoms and maybe should of had a referral to a cardiologist. Nope! Said he could give me a referral to a therapist. They just wanted me out of there. I wanted out of there!! Flagstaff ER is the worst!! I may not be an expert with medical, but we rely on them to be and to be more caring than just what they can get in their wallet.

If you care about your loved one do not let them go here. They allowed my brother in law to starve, by not feeding him, he is down to less than 100 lbs, the Doctor left orders for them to feed him so he could gain… weight to go to rehab. But the nurses just ignored the fact that he was too weak already to feed himself, so they let him starve. Since this happened he became deceased. Then a month after him dying in their hospital they call us to schedule an appointment for him to look at his non metastasized cancer. That very same cancer that spread thru his body and killed him within 30 days even though they said it wouldn't.

I would like to give some recognition to two lab assistants that went the extra mile for my father. The two would be Havie and Alan. They were amazing, they went the extra mile to call my father grandpa in Navajo. They… let him know what they were doing when they went in, made jokes with him and were very professional. To the point my dad sees them as his own grandkids. I hope they get the recognition they deserve for making my fathers stay a lot easier on him and on our family!

Terrible, terrible experience with the check in staff and security supervisor. They were super rude and unprofessional. We drove from Phoenix to visit a family member and we were mistreated. The operator doesn’t pick up… calls. I’ve called numerous times since Wednesday. Operator picked up once and transferred me to the wrong department. Restrooms were dirty + trashy. We couldn’t waited in the waiting room. On the positive side: the nurse, CNA were super nice and accommodating.

Worst hospital in northern Arizona. Do you want to have your baby held against your will for calling out the medical staff? You want your baby to be suffering and become a test subject just because the medical staff… want to retaliate? Do you want CPS involved because you do not trust this hospital and called out the staff so now they come up with excuses to have CPS involved? Do you want your baby to suffer instead of being taken care of? Do you like to have the cops come and treat you like a criminal? Do you like to hear the staff talk crap of people who need medical attention? If you said yes to any of these questions then this is the place for you and your family. If you said no then please go somewhere that will take care of you and your family and not just make you suffer or be treated like a test subject and criminal.

My husband was brought into ER by ambulance on April 4th after blacking out and having severe lacerations from the fall. I wish I could name all the people that tended to him in ER, but they were all very thorough and… very kind. They explained everything very well to both of us and it brought me a lot of relief the way they tended to all the issues going on. He was admitted for two days and the Drs and nurses on staff were the same way: Very thorough in going over his wound care, and testing everything regarding the cause of the black out. I felt very included in all the possible care options for him, and they were very good about listening to concerns and options we wanted to discuss. The RN team was Kristen and Rachel, PCT was D’Asia, and the ChgRN was Ashlee. All very professional caring people! We were very thankful.
