The Phoenix house is a great wonderful place to be. They saved my life an without them I know I wouldn't have such a great quality of life like I do today. I'm getting my life back one day at a time. I'm forever… thankful to them. Everyone there especially the staff. Mrs Kim and John.b and Jim.J. was an still are my new family. I miss you all dearly an thank God for bringing me to the Phoenix house. From the bottom of my heart thank you all.
Phoenix House is probably the overall best treatment center around for the money. There are certainly things that they could do better, but all things considered it is a good choice. I completed treatment at PH with no… issues at all, no write-ups, no dirty drug screens, nothing. I worked a good, honest program and they helped tremendously all throughout. BUT.... Three weeks into my sober living journey I ran into some personal issues at home and stayed an extra day on pass. Then a day later I got detained after work and missed a drug screen. The next day all my stuff got bagged up and thrown into a pile like garbage and they refused to give me my deposit back. I am very neat and clean and I had spent hours cleaning that house and even done some repairs. The fact of the matter is that Phoenix House stole my money just because they could and that's that. I worked an honest program I am proud of, and Phoenix House, and in particular JT, shamed themselves with petty theivery over a lousy 300 bucks. I'm still clean but unfortunately Phoenix House ....not so much.
I'm in the Phoenix house right now, it's a great place if you want to be here, I'm right where I need to be, here!
I will never forget this place or forget the staff that were there at my time. They saved my life and it was strict because of Covid at that time. I had the best time in my recovery and grateful for the help I received.
This place saved my life and showed me how to live again. Because they taught me how to live a sober life I've even regained the trust and respect of my children and family. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
The Phoenix house is a good program. The staff are all great people.
This place saved my life and has went out of their way to help me
This place preys on people who go there. It's church-backed bilking of cash from people trying to make a new start. They hassle people trying to work and then they take 75% of what they earn AND charge them rent to… stay! Tuscaloosa judges: stop sending people here! We try to help by employing people at our companies but the administrator there is just a sanctioned grifter.
It used to be a place that cared about clients. Now it's just another corupt company. Zeb is going to sink this ship fore sure. I was fired fore pouring out 5 gallons of spoiled milk. I refused to serve clients fore… breakfast. Should I say more. Been gone 2 wweks. Haven't even received final check. Of course they say they mailed it. It's all about dollars and cents orver there at this point. T. C.
I will just be blunt and put it out there. My husband is currently in the program there and so far I'm not very happy from what I hear on a daily basis when talking with him. They took his food and drinks away from him… and have constantly searched his stuff over and over and he has no DRUGS or whatever they are looking for. Second of all they have taken up cellphones and not telling anyone why. Also, I don't like how on the inside there's no cameras in certain places (dining hall) area meaning females and makes could just do whatever also they DO NOT stick to their RULES everyday. It changes every single day. I have felt so uneasy since we dropped my husband off on 3/19/18. I don't feel like he's in a good place at all to get better. I fear for our MARRIAGE DAILY!!!!! Just a lil of what I have seen and felt so far. NOT HAPPY AT ALL WITH THIS PLACE!!!! HORRIBLE!!!!
This place and the staff that were there late 2012-early 2013 really helped me get my mind right. It was in no time that I had a damn good job and was once again a contributing member of society. I didn't know it at the… time of admission but after meeting the staff, I realized I had a uncle who was on it. No, I wasn't treated special. Actually think I was pushed even harder bc someone else knew the almost exact environment I had came from. Don't listen to others try to talk you out of going. Marvin was one of the guys who really helped me in my situation as well. He will be missed.
Well I will be real. This place saved my life. Taught me how to live life without drugs and alcohol. It does work if you work it!
It was good because I got to do whatever I want when I wanted.so if they like u then u got it made.and they will allow fratinizing with some and then if u make them mad for some reason then it won't be alowwed.the staff… ain't what it uses to be.very rude to some clients.and u can still get high with out them knowing.men are upstairs and they don't ever come check on them..and u can lie about going to work and stay gone all day and have sex with females in the dining room bathroom.no cameras there.bed bugs are bad there too
I can't give this place an appropriate rating at this time. I wanted help but was told by a very rude lady who answered the phone that I had to be drug free/clean before entering the program. The webpage does not state… this fact. If it is a drug/alcohol rehab program, my definition of same is it helps people who are addicted. If I'm clean, then I don't need help. So what's the point?
