My daughter recently started Pre-K & as nervous & scared as I was, she did just fine! Teachers and staff have been a godsend and an overall positive experience. My daughter goes with NO ONE, & we're on week 3 & she… loves school & her teacher! I get communication via email or paper in her bookbag, I recommend if you're looking for preschool for 3 or 4 years old with an IEP.

Northside school Center for child development center !! has been a safe haven and a wonderful place for my son and I the experience that we had at the School will be unmatched any parent reading this review who has any… hesitations shouldn’t NORTHSIDE is a beautiful amazing caring School that has helped my son develop and flourish so much the improvement that I’ve seen with my son‘s education is beyond words. NORTHSIDE has been such a wonderful experience I will recommend NORTHSIDE to any parent or family the facility is beautiful and clean ! Everyone that I’ve ever came encounter with at North Side has been so professional so kind and so sweet they have become a family to me they communicate well they genuinely care for your child’s future. I would recommend this school 100 times over! From where my son started to where he is at now I can contribute to Northside school . My child went from nonverbal to now making full sentences.!! If you’re reading this review have no doubt that the school will definitely help your child reach the next level and achieve their goals while also making a strong connection with the people that work there !

I took my kid here for services after seeing that they need help and I was able to get in touch with a therapist there in his school. At a certain point, my kid came home upset about a topic I talked to his therapist… about and she told him about it when I told her not to until I was ready. They have this energy that they know better than the parent. If you want mental health services, I don’t recommend you bring your child here. Take them somewhere else!!!

Dr. Crespo is among the worst doctors here, made me uncomfortable to the point of depression and she will gaslight you into listening to her with her nasty, unprofessional, and mean attitude. Avoid at all costs. She… needs her license taken away. I will say I have been on Geodon since early 2022, and switched to Crespo around November 2022. I gained about 60 lbs within a few months, between Spring and before fall 2022, and my monthly suddenly disappeared so now I take birth control to regulate it (or else i’m at risk for cancer), i was diagnosed with PCOS in late 2022, and i believe my blood sugar and cholesterol increased easily because of the antipsychotic too. Every time i spoke to a trusted someone about Crespo they agree with her in a way somehow, especially about food causing my weight gain, “eating better” and exercising, without realizing that her medical advice is incredibly misinformed or she doesn’t have a place to say most things. When I told her that I had an extremely hard time sleeping right and randomly wakes up early in the morning and can’t go back to sleep on a higher dose of Geodon, she looked at me and said “What?” looking confused like the surprised Pikachu meme. She told me i’m not expected to lose weight easier after I get off the antipsychotic because of my “metabolism”— which she doesn’t know anything about and that’s not her place as a psychiatrist. It’s also not her place or business as a psychiatrist to keep bugging me about my weight and bloodwork each time over everything else in our sessions (some sessions were mostly on about her giving lectures on how exercising is important and how it will make everything “better” and not listening to my other main health concerns with the side effects) and she even scolded and yelled at me before for not exercising and saying that “no pill will help you” which is misinformation if you do a simple Google search or article research. Psychiatrists and doctors in general tend to be very lacking about the place genetics has in medicine and its side effects. She always brought up me exercising and kept pushing me to exercise like i’m her child and recommended that I do an hour treadmill 4-5 days a week and got an attitude if I didn’t exercise. One of her worst offenses was telling me straight to my face that Geodon and antipsychotics in general were “the right treatment for me” after she spoke to Dr Hoyle who also was mean to me. She’s medically invasive and does not care about autonomy, and at one point my therapist supported her actions until I left them a very long rant through text message and switched psychiatrists. I also need to mention Crespo told me to ask my PCP doctor to put me on weight-loss drugs like Ozempic despite the heavy side effects and disagreements it has from research and other doctors (and i’m not diabetic)? Despite the fact that it’s not her role to be doing that. She tried to blame my eating habits for my weight gain but she once again lied and doesn’t know my genetics—eating a lot due to medicine does NOT lead to such rapid weight gain i’ve experienced. A lot of people would call this “fatphobia” or weight discrimination in a way. I have a recording of her talking about how her black husband is always eating fried chicken and that eating those can cause high blood pressure and heart attacks. Crespo’s into the racist myth that the African American diet is to blame for our deaths or “unhealthy lifestyle”. Terrible thing to mention to your patient. Too much cookie cutter advice. She acted like exercise and eating better is the answer to all my health problems that was likely caused by the pill itself, and LIED and gaslit me that I was the one who brought up the weight stuff even though it was her every single session. Crespo had triggered my anxiety and PTSD, so she really needs to go and I hope Northside listens to me that she was unbearable. No patient should have to go through that, if this was a PCP then I bet things may have gotten worse for me. She’s a terrible doctor. Go to Dr Onua instead.

I called this hospital to get help with my son 14 years old. They were not able to get him help he needed but they helped me get one by calling hospitals and recommending them to take my son. The supervisor stayed in… touch with me throughout the process and made sure that he is admitted where he needs to be which was something I tried in the past but couldn’t accomplish on my own without their recommendation. They were truly amazing in their care, went above and beyond their responsibilities to help my son who was in dire need for help. I would recommend this hospital for anyone struggling with their child/children in getting any help.

Dr crespo's attitude is crazy. She needs to shut up and listen before she speaks instead of talking over patients. She should be fired and her license should be revoked. Shes a terrible doctor.

The after-school and summer program staff are unprofessional and act like children themselves. I would not recommend anyone to send their child to this place. They yell at your kids, and act like they really don't care… too much for the kids. They have some guy name Justice who is unprofessional running the program. He is not good. Communication is horrible. Think twice about leaving your child in this program.

This company has their employees trained to look for microscopic "default" at their standards and actually focus on pinning false allegations on individual parenting and family dynamics. As a domestic violent victim,… the unbelievable question from a worker address to me, "would you consider to reconcile with your abusive husband." Absolutely 💯 NOT! Once an abuser always an abuser. Thanks but no thanks! They are not for helping families with good intentions yet for statics purposes and a bi weekly paycheck.

Northside Center was a positive experience for my daughters and I. I came to Northside from a Domestic Violence situation. I was assigned Mr. Joseph Ellis and he was a true blessing. From the first day I spoke with him… I knew he was there for my girls and I. Mr. Ellis made sure to give my daughters and I every service we where entitled to and when it was something he was unable to provide he made sure to reach out to the other extension of Northside that was able to provide those services. Most importantly headway had my daughters and my best interest inmimd. Vovid-19 was hard enough with out being entangled in a Domestic Violence situation and needing outside services; but, thank to him he made it as easy as possible. One thing I know for sure is because of Mr.Ellis I was able to exhale, which was something I could not do since the day I walked into my DV housing. He promised me that he and Northside would stay with us until we were in our new apartment. This alone was just another example of Mr. Ellis going above and beyond. They say a company is only as good as there employees if Northsids employees all are just half as good as Mr Ellis they must be the beat around.

I been client with North Side Center for almost a year now. This program has changed my mindset to what real help looks like. This program may not know it, but it's driven employees is what makes the difference to rhis… programs mission and statement. One employee in particular named Mr. Joseph Ellis came into me and my sons life to not only help me meey my goals, but he put his soul and heart into his work for me and my son Zachary. Not too many employees really listen and take the proper time to really help their clients and that is what Mr. Ellis did for me and my son. He gave me hope to trust in him and in his work beyond North side and today I am on my way to being the best Mother I was set out to be for my son thanks to Mr. Joseph Ellis drive to not only help but to really help you succeed.

My family has been with Northside 5+ years. We have not left the organization for many reasons.... who would care and advocate for my son in and out of school like Ms Shanna Richey? Who would spend time and be a… positive male role model like Mr Joseph Ellis? These people are not only professionals helping with referrals and our health but empathetic passionate figures who help guide us through our journeys. Thanks guys, and thanks Northside for hiring the right staff!

When it comes to Preventative services, they do not care about families. The more people they encounter the worse it is for them. They do not care if your kids disrespect you and don't notify you of the proper programs… that could help you! Even if your case worker disrespects you, the very director won't even say a word! They do not answer phone calls/emails/ or texts messages in a timely or respectful manner BUT only when it's beneficial to them! They will forget that you exist and no fault will be put on them! I've contacted ACS about them and they refuse to care either! Even after stating that I required someone's help to watch my kids if I ever had to receive medical help (like surgery, asthma, or a lengthy emergency procedure), THEY STILL did not take me seriously! It is heartbreaking and soul crushing to know that even when these people are getting paid to care and do their job with federal, tax paper's money, they will not do it well, regardless of its utmost importance!!! Not to mention, they detest deadlines! They will make you want to do the unthinkable AND they never fail to use their power agaisnt you! They control your time, energy, and home once you step into their world and of course, they lack SERIOUS EMPATHY!!! If you want to care about yourself and your children, stay far away from this place!

Northside has many programs. The school on 110th is very supportive to their families, they work in partnership with their families working together to find the best techniques in working with the children’s individual… needs. The administration is very helpful assisting parents in ensuring they receive the appropriate services, they are advocates for the children trying new and innovative techniques to ensure the children reach their highest potential.

In the beginning this school seemed alright and the kids love it at first but after a while they’re crying when they’re being dropped off and the kids don’t like being left alone with certain teacher such as Tamika and… Yvonne. Tamika I believe hit the kids because they never want to be near her and she acts funny towards the parents like she’ll just stare you down and not speak. Yvonne has been seen screaming on those babies like they’re grown adults and she doesn’t cater to their needs. When it comes to potty training, if a child says they have to use the potty after about 30 minutes of going they catch an attitude and tell him/her to sit down and shut up. If the child soils them self they get yelled at. They also have favorites in this school. My son was attacked by another student more than 5 times by being bitten and they did nothing at all but put my son in the corner. Thanks a lot Stephanie! In the classroom next door they have a little boy and a little girl who rarely speaks or interacts with anyone and I feel like it’s out of fear. In most cases they would have a teacher spend one on one time with those students but no, they just sit there sad all day until their mothers come. I heard of another parent asking to see the tapes because her son was attacked 3 times by having a busted lip and she never got answers. Another thing that worries me is they have a constant bed bug, lice and HFM disease problem here. You know families have issues but yet y’all still encourage them to bring their kids. The health department needs to investigate for sure. If you’re going to enroll your child here then please PROCEED WITH CAUTION! Randomly check in on your kids for their safety!
