Wellbridge Rehabilitation Program – Calverton Detox and Rehab Services

Wellbridge Rehabilitation Program – Calverton is listed as running residential treatment. A proper assessment sets the level rather than leaving it to guesswork, and it is worth asking for one explicitly.

The record does not show integrated provision, so confirm this if it matters. Medication-assisted treatment combines approved medication with counseling and clinical review. The weekly time commitment varies considerably between providers, so establish it early rather than after admission.

Honestly, I originally considered giving Wellbridge 2 stars, but I decided to give 3 because I want to be fair and acknowledge the positive aspects of my experience as well. I have mixed feelings about my experience at… Wellbridge. Overall, it is a very nice facility, and I met some genuinely lovely people during my time there. I had both good days and difficult days, and there were moments when I genuinely felt supported and that I was making progress. Unfortunately, my time at Wellbridge ended on a very bad note, and that has significantly affected how I look back on my overall experience. One of my biggest concerns was that I felt there was a lot of nitpicking. At times, I felt like situations were being judged before both sides of the story were fully heard. I believe that when there is an issue involving a patient, staff should take the time to investigate what actually happened and hear everyone involved before making a decision. I often felt that this did not happen in my situation. I was also diagnosed with ADHD while at this facility. That diagnosis helped me better understand certain things about myself, and I genuinely made an effort to change my behaviour. I don’t believe I was the same person who first walked through those doors. I feel that I made meaningful progress during my stay, and I wish that progress had been taken into greater consideration. That is why the way my treatment ultimately ended was especially disappointing. If a treatment facility tells someone that they are there to help them, I believe that commitment should continue even when that person has difficult days or makes mistakes. Recovery isn’t always perfect. People come to rehabilitation because they need help, and I believe there should be room for accountability, communication, and an opportunity to learn from mistakes. I understand that facilities have rules and that there are circumstances where a discharge may be necessary. However, I wish my situation had been handled differently. I wish there had been more communication, a thorough investigation into what happened, and an opportunity to work through the issues before my treatment was ended. There are good people and good things about Wellbridge, and I don’t want to take that away from the facility. I simply believe there is room for improvement, particularly when it comes to listening to patients, hearing both sides of a situation, investigating issues thoroughly, and following through on the support patients are told they will receive. I am grateful for the people I met and the things I learned while I was there. I just wish my experience had ended differently. I came to Wellbridge because I believed you could help me, and I genuinely wanted to get better. I only wish that commitment to helping me had continued through the difficult parts of my treatment rather than ending when things became challenging.

My 28 days at Wellbridge was a great experience! Between the counselors, RSS’s, nurses, kitchen staff, cleaning staff, also the gym and fitness classes and the art classes. I could not have asked for more. The groups… were diversified and helpful. I was also happy with my aftercare plan and the alumni plan. I left with many tools and was very grateful and confident leaving to start my journey to sobriety!

Wellbridge is phenomenal. My stay here was one of the most positive and extraordinary one, and I give kudos to all the staff, just each and everyone of them. I will forever be grateful to them and with so much positive… optimism that I can, with what they so selflessly offered, do this. Just amazing!

I left this place feeling deeply disappointed and frustrated after what should have been a serious step toward getting help. The facility itself is genuinely beautiful and well-kept—clean, peaceful grounds, nice rooms,… the whole setup looks like a place that takes pride in its environment. The staff members I interacted with during the process were polite and pleasant too. No complaints there. But the intake process was a mess. After traveling way out of my way to get there (nearly 2 hours of driving and logistics that weren't easy), I was told during admission that I could resume my prescribed medication at my normal dose. I also had to spend extra money on all new toiletries because everything needed to be completely unopened to be allowed in. Then I paid the $10,000 down payment as required. Once I was checked in, they suddenly said no—I couldn't continue my meds unless I cut them by 3mg. That kind of last-minute change on something so important to my health felt incredibly risky and stressful. For that kind of money, plus the travel hassle and extra expenses, you expect straight answers and consistent information right from the start. Knowing the exact medication policy and all the little rules (like the toiletries) before you commit time, money, and effort should be basic. They are reimbursing the $10k down payment, which I appreciate, but the whole experience left a bad taste. Do your homework on their policies before you go—don't assume like I did.

This was my second time at Wellbridge, and they truly saved my life. I’m incredibly grateful for my counselor, Justin, whose support and guidance made a huge difference in my recovery. Justine, the art therapist, was… also amazing and helped me in ways I never expected. The entire staff at Wellbridge treated me with compassion, respect, and genuine kindness. From the clinical team to the support staff, everyone went above and beyond to create a safe, welcoming environment where I could focus on healing. I can’t thank everyone at Wellbridge enough for giving me the tools and hope to build a better life. I highly recommend Wellbridge to anyone seeking recovery.

Wellbridge changed my life. Each group/program taught me something I didn't know every day. As long as you trust the process and follow the program they give to you. It will all start to resonate and the path that you… are on will start making sense. All the pieces will start coming together. The road back to yourself is the longest you’ll ever walk and the most sacred just take it one day at a time. If I could use one word to describe the staff at Wellbridge it would be “genuine”.

My experience at Wellbridge was beyond frustrating and honestly felt completely disorganized and unprofessional. I drove over 5 hours to get there, only to realize within about 9 hours that it was an awful place to be… and somewhere I absolutely did not want to stay. That alone should say a lot. First, there was basically no access to food outside of the scheduled cafeteria meal times. If you missed a meal window or were hungry later, too bad. For a facility that is supposed to care about people’s wellbeing, the lack of basic accommodations was shocking. What upset me the most was how my personal belongings were handled. I arrived there voluntarily and on my own terms, yet when I decided to leave, upper management made the process unnecessarily difficult and stressful. It did not feel like I was being treated like an adult capable of making my own decisions. On top of that, they kept my laptop, and I did not realize it was missing until I got home over 5 hours away. After contacting them, they would not even ship it back to me, which is completely unacceptable considering it was their responsibility after taking possession of my belongings. They also took my personal medication during intake, and the entire handling of patients’ property felt careless, poorly communicated, and lacking accountability. Overall, I left feeling more stressed and frustrated than supported. For the amount these facilities charge and the level of care they claim to provide, this experience fell far below expectations.

It was a life changing amazing experience! I had 1000 A.A. meetings under my belt, and still go daily now. But WellBridge significantly helped to fill in the gaps that I was missing. Through, the multiple programs and… therapy. Great bedrooms, food, exercise, great staff and people who just wanted to find answers and get better. Very beautiful campus and scenery.

I am very disappointed with what happened to my husband and myself. Initially, I thought they were doing a good job but after the second week, everything went wrong. They say that addiction is a family disease but this… institution does not care about the family at all and that is a huge mistake because the family is the one who has to take back an afflicted with addiction family member. I called my husband's primary counselor, Michell for help and guidance but she failed to call me back. No one from the Wellbride would talk to me. I was very scared to have my husband back becaue he was abusing me mentally and emotionally and I needed to know if my husband was still delugenal about me before he was being discharged. As a wife, I got no notification about when he was being dischrged. I was never included in the safe after care plan. How can this be? I told Michelle I was afraid of further abuse but her and her entire team did not care that I was afraid. They ignored my plea for their guidance. Towards the end of my husband's stay at this horrible institution, a woman named Kelly called my house and asked me if I picked up my husband from the facility and I said no and she quicily hung up on me. I called back to find out why they called me like this and the receptionist said to me she cannot confirm or deny that my husband is still at this unprofessional facility. I was panicking now because one, where is he? Did they lose him? Is he safe? Is he okay? Then I am panicking because I am fearing for my life because I went to the family court to file for a order of protection on 4/23/26 and i did not know where my husband was. I was so afraid I could not function for the whole day because i thought my husband was coming home to hurt me because i thought he might be furious that I petitioned family court for order of protection. I would not recommend anyone to go to Wellbridge because they do not care about the family's concern nor care about the spouse's safety. I believe that in order to have a better outcome for the patient is to involve the family and educate how to handle an addict of any kind. Ultimately, the family has to accept their loved ones back home. The wellbridge is only out for your insurance money and they are full of themselves and uses patient confidentiality to extreame regardless of the safety of the family members. I would never recommend anyone to this dispicable and inept and unprofessional facility. They don't care about the family at all. Don't believe them. They will turn on the family. I don't understand their philosophy. Do more research before you send your loved ones here.

This was an experience way beyond my expectations. They treated you like a human being and seemed to actually care about you as an individual. Lots of interesting classes, in depth therapy and great food- not to mention… very plush rooms. If you had a problem they worked with you. Of course nothing is perfect but this was pretty darn close.

This is a 100 % unbiased review. My experience at Wellbridge was truly life changing. I was looking for any and every reason not to like rehab, I was going more or less in an effort to get my house back and get my… family off my back. I was shocked with the level or care I received. Honestly, it was radically different than my last two rehabs. The staff at Wellbridge was unbelievably loving and supportive and brilliant. The facility was gorgeous. I am a member of the LGBTQ community and was always made to feel welcomed and included and they take bullying of any kind very seriously. I got a full blood panel, met with my nurse psychiatrist 2 or 3 times during my stay and was able to get on new psyche meds at the beginning of my stay which helped tremendously. My NP Jenny was awesome. My therapists Taylor and Justine were both excellent I miss them. Wellbridge provided a safe place for me to take risks and push past boundaries and work through various types of trauma including sexual, and childhood which at their core drove my using meth. I was never able to feel so whole and compete since I was a pre teen. I am so lucky to have found Wellbridge and I am clearly and one satisfied customer.

Beyond satisfied. Truly grateful for the experience and the connections- not just to people but the understanding of the narrative of my life and the practical applications I was taught to navigate those connections I… made. I will forever be indebted to the people that helped me at wellbridge and the people who got me there. Words are limited to express how much I gained from a mere 28 days. Art therapists are phenomenal, I had Justine who taught me a lot not only.anout how to manage my substance use but also how to manage my ADHD symptoms. She is caring, knowledgeable, compassionate, and detailed with her instruction. Again, I don't have the words for the appreciation I have for this part of the program. The skills I acquired are ones that I have been able to put into my life immediately and feel like will be a major part of my recovery journey. My primary therapist Taylor was fantastic, not only was she able to help me realize fundamental issues I had before my relapse but she helped me find ways to work on those things while I was there so that I could gain progress and catch snags and feelings that were uncomfortable in a supported environment. The amenities are first class, and the wellness program with Bailey and Nancy allowed me to both push myself and listen to my body. The level of compassionate care and aligned actions in this institution are unparalleled in my opinion. The ancillary services like case management for insurance and FMLA are timely and organized. Alumni services have also been detailed, timely, and very helpful. Continuing care was set up for me and I feel cautiously optimistic about my recovery after wellbridge. If you or a loved one needs help with addiction, there is no other place I would trust more.

I’ve referred a number of clients to this facility and can confidently say the level of care is exceptional. The team I work with directly is not only highly knowledgeable, but genuinely compassionate—it’s clear this is… more than just a job to them. Their responsiveness is unmatched. When time is critical, they are consistently available and ready to help me get clients placed quickly and safely, which is invaluable in this field. The facility itself is beautiful, calm, and thoughtfully maintained, creating an environment that truly supports healing. They also honor a true wraparound approach to care, addressing the whole person—not just the immediate need. A special thank you to Dave, Neha, and Aimee for the work you do and the support you consistently provide. I’m incredibly grateful to have a team like this to trust with my clients. Highly recommend.

Wellbridge does an awesome job when it comes to treatment. Beautiful campus, strong clinical programming, seamless admissions/intake process, and just an overall warm and supportive environment. They really do a great… job at making the process easy and creating a place that feels like a second home and not a treatment center. You can tell they spent a lot of time focusing on the small but important details both for the campus and in the program. The fact that they can send a car to pick you up is such an awesome example of that and makes it that much easier to get the help needed. All around great program and care.
