Biggest Councelling Building ,- Biggest Help.
Very helpful and friendly.
Just like every other medical institution in Northeast PA. Procedure and liability seems more important than actually helping or healing. Phone calls are not returned, questions asked to me are repetitive and robotic. I… offered you the services we provide seems to be their fallback statement to every challenging question or answer. After my last call to the crisis center I feel defeated and hopeless. I now believe there is no real help in this area. I now believe all the good medical staff moved out of the Northeast a long time ago. I have Scranton Counseling Center to thank for my depression today. They made it worse. Do not use this "service". You are just a "customer" to them. Also, your problem better be manageable in under an hour. They will just keep reminding you how long you have been talking until you feel bad enough to say your all better now. You get 1 hour. Then they will remind you that you have been talking for a long time until you give up. They drop the act after 1 hour. Hopefully anyone who uses this service has a "fast food" type of problem. This place is only for the "worried well"

Very rude front desk works at there finest along with dont call you with appointments so u miss them and have to wait months to get a new one made ..... not professional at all
They have it down to a science only way I could get my injection. They blame the costumers when they are late on mondays cause of traffic on Mondays and use what ever kind of family to get us back with intrusion and… blaming.
SCC has been so helpful in my mental health journey, when it was nearly impossible to find a therapist that I actually connected with I was referred to SCC and found someone that I felt actually understood me. Thank… you, SCC!
I had an appointment with Dr Christine she shook my hand then I gave her compliments and she was rude she wouldn't shake my hand I wanted to know if she will shake my hand again she said she dont know yet I was angry I… went to the bakery and banged my head on the door and then they banned me off there property thanks to Dr Christine they told me to go back to Scranton Counseling They called Scranton Police Department on me Thank God I was not in trouble Dr Christine should get fired and she wouldn't sign my driving papers No one should go there They should be shut down
I’ve been going to this place for a while now with my son, but recently I’ve come across something that’s been unprofessional by the staff. Carmen (I think her name is.) the front desk person with glasses laughed and… whispered to her coworkers something about my son when he was going through an episode. Usually I don’t write reviews but this was surprising and horrible to experience. I will be finding a different place to go to and will be reporting this woman to whoever I can to get her in check.
Do not go here for post partum help they’re not safe! Dr. Perrick will child line you and twist everything you said, Try to go somewhere that won’t violate hippa and isn’t prejudice against psychosis type problems
Such cool place was in the chat for this place gng
THAT YOU YO EVERYONE WHO HAS HELPED ME ALL THIS TIME I AM VERY GRATEFUL AND WILL BE FOREVER FROM PAPPY THE BEST PLACE THEY TREAT YOU LIKE FAMILY
A lot has changed since I wrote my first review. Everything I once had a complaint about has significantly improved. The phone system works much better and they have incorporated a crisis center, something that didn't… exist 5 years ago. Blended case management has seen improvements as well. I feel a lot better now about everything, so it must be that things are working right! It is important to remember that the process of mental health treatment is a journey and it requires participation on the part of the client as well as the provider. I learned this through many difficult trials.
I have been a waitlist for ten months now for therapy. My doctor from the Wright Center referred me here, and after seeing that they were taking new patients I was excited to no longer pay $400 a month for therapy… through BetterHelp. I did my normal intake paperwork and then I was scheduled to see a psychiatrist within the month, even after telling them I had my own psych and wanted to stay with him and I was just looking for therapy. They told me I needed to meet with him to be placed in therapy. My appointment was supposed to be weeks later, and they called me back later that day to let me know they had an opening, so I left work and drove an hour back home to go to this appointment since I needed therapy ASAP. The entire appointment I watched the psychiatrist type my intake paperwork into the computer infront of me, and try to convince me to start using a psych in house. After 20 minutes of feeling like I was sitting in the principal's office getting yelled at, my appointment was finally over. I got a $20 bill in the mail for my copay to watch a man type on the computer and try to get me to switch to an in house psych, even after paying a $20 copay for the initial visit in the same day. There was literally no reason for that man to meet with me - he asked me no questions pertaining to my mental health or any sort of follow up to my intake paperwork. I just sat there and watched him type and we barely had any conversation. On my way out, I was told that I would get a call with an appointment for therapy. I called several times over the next few weeks and was constantly told I would get a call back but I never did. They did not inform me at any point that there was a waitlist, even after finishing my intake appointment - I was only told I was on a waitlist when I called several weeks later to inquire about making an appointment for therapy since I still had not gotten a call. I have since called multiple times and every time I get told that they are sending an email to the scheduler to reach out to me about making an appointment or to figure out how long the waitlist is. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The only way I really think anyone could get help here is if they are in crisis and even then I doubt it would help. They are so unorganized and unreliable. I regret wasting my time and even giving these people the time of day. Scranton needs better mental health facilities because this is definitely NOT it.
When I first started going here it was great but now it’s so difficult to get ahold of anyone and it’s been days of me calling them about my medication just to get no answers and be told someone will call me back they… never do the staff is very nice but I’m going without my medication now for several days. Also my therapist stopped working there months ago and I never received a new one like I was told I would.
Very unprofessional staff & psychiatrists! Stay away at all costs! Someone prescribed my husband medication for a mental health condition he doesn't even have! For the past 5 years my husband has been like a zombie! I'm… so glad that I was finally able to get him out of that place! He is now seeing a real psychiatrist who actually listens to him. His new psychiatrist said that the medication he was on caused alot of damage to his brain & now has to undergo testing for this.
I was at a bar with a girlfriend on Linden Street and I overheard a customer there talking to the bartender. She said she needed a drink after spending her day with a pile of nuts, turns out she was a Scranton… Counseling Center therapist. It is a shame that these people are so two-faced.
Only counseling place that can completely ignore you, prescribe medication based on this lack of communication, and leave you in the worst mood all week. All within 5 minutes.
I have been seeing Anthony Pusateri for adult ADHD for about 18 months now. He is fantastic! A true gentleman, listener and very caring. He speaks with you not at you.
Dr. Asante is the worst! He sucks needs to be replaced
I feel alot better
