WellSpan Philhaven – Ephrata Detox and Rehab Services
WellSpan Philhaven – Ephrata appears on the register for intensive outpatient and outpatient care. The structured element runs during the day and people go home afterwards. The right level of care is a clinical judgement rather than a preference, and an assessment should produce a defined answer.
The listing records a single focus rather than combined treatment, so anyone needing both should confirm what is available. Ask directly about session times and frequency, as those details decide whether someone can realistically attend.

WellSpan Philhaven – Ephrata Reviews and Ratings
Referring professionals and healthcare workers who have worked with WellSpan Philhaven can leave a review in this section, as can patients and their loved ones. Accounts of how referrals and handovers were handled are especially useful.
I truly wish I could negative stars. This is by far one of the most unprofessional places I've had the misfortune of dealing with. While trying to get my child treated they were very complacent about everything. Trying… to schedule anything is a joke. Dr. Dolena is rude, asks questions about the parents that does not pertain to his hyperactivity and ADHD diagnosis we were there for. He said that he had emailed me a message which I had never received. Dr. Dolena's office never gave us a phone call back. The only thing they made sure was taken care of making was billing us. Please do not waste ur time, or ur $ cuz I promise that is all this place make sure to do. It's really and truly so upsetting & unbelievable that this is how our children are treated especially since they are supposed to be helping our children, not setting them back you are like many others, desperate and scrambling for mental health care amongst a broken system... you are like many others, desperate and scrambling for mental health care amongst a broken system One more piece of advice.. I suggest in your search for a children's psychiatric behavioral health provider that you start your search somewhere else and please just don't give up looking but I do suggest not to don't bother here. The providers are cocky and condescending,The office manager is decent. They seem to take a bad situations the families are going through and try to draw it out as long as possible. I'm assuming it is all for billing and money racket. And isn't that convenient that Dr delena always has openings where no one else does, I fully believe it's because he's a questionable, at best, doctor. And if you are like many others, desperate and scrambling for mental health care amongst a broken system... PLEASE DON'T STOP HERE!
I make a appointment for my son having autism sign with a doctor referral.they canceled my appointment saying doctor is not available.and they say their is no any open appointment with in 90 days.
Okay services, just make sure the provider you are seeing is in your health insurance network. I wasn't offered a choice and wasn't aware that the different providers were covered under different insurances. Got blind… sided by the bills all at once.
Run! If you are like many others, desperate and scrambling for mental health care amongst a broken system... Don't stop here.Either give up looking,or don't bother here. The providers are cocky and condescending, I have… had engagements with several in this practice and it appears to be the culture of this institution. The office manager is decent enough but just makes excuses for their actions and has no help to offer. There is no regard for mental health, and they actually exacerbate conditions. They take a bad situation and turn it into worst then deplorable. Is a reason they have openings and no where else does.....
It's disgusting and unfortunate that Philhaven won't accept people who's pcp is not with Wellspan. That just sounds illegal or should be!!!!! I quess they would rather have people hit rock bottom!!! Absolutely unfair!!!… But that's Wellspan for you!!!!!!
I truly wish I could negative stars. This is by far one of the most unprofessional places I've had the misfortune of dealing with. While trying to get my child treated they were very complacent about everything. Trying… to schedule anything is a joke. Dr. Dolena's receptionist never returned a call to the multiple messages left. Thankfully receptionist at our PCP's office was kind enough to reach out to help get my child scheduled, but that wasn't her job. Our cardiologist, and psychologist who were currently treating my child both tried to contact Dr. Dolena's office neither of them were given a phone call back. The only thing they were prompt on was making sure they billed us. Don't waste your time, or your money because I promise that's all this office will do. So disappointing since they're supposed to be helping children.
Don't waste your time if your primary care physician isn't within wellspan. Their "policy" is now that if you don't switch to a PCP within WellSpan they "don't have anything available". They put money well above the… care and mental well-being of the people they say they take care of. Absolutely disgraceful. Disgusting. Whomever made that decision, you should be ashamed.
When I was 14 I saw Dr. Dolena solely for my medication. Me and my mom were new to this and didn’t know what was inappropriate or unprofessional. I was excited to maybe get help before it got worse. I told this man that… I was suicidal. He said he didn’t believe me and I was over exaggerating how I felt. At the end my mom came in to ask a question and he hurried us out of the room. I want so badly to warn parents the your child doesn’t know the difference between a good dr or not. I was hospitalized 4 times over the two years following that. I’ve refused to see any other dr. I’m now 19. I’m afraid to get help because of one bad experience. His actions had consequences but he didn’t have to face them. I was scared people wouldn’t believe me but I hope at least one person will even though it’s probably too late.
I have nothing but praise and positive comments to make about my experience at Wellspan Ephrata Behavioral center. My therapist, Nelson Yoder, has always helped me to deal with the issues that I’ve been dealing with in… a calm, compassionate way. I would recommend him and the others there to any potential people.
Polite staff
Excellent place to bring your child for psychiatric services. Dr. Dolena is always professional and cares about his patients. In the beginning of child's treatment, he may appear strict and unapproachable , however, has… helped my child tremendously. Do not believe everything you read on reviews. Make your own decision on what is best for your child.
Hope you don't get Dr. Deguzman. He kept saying "You Americans" to me in refference to things we do poorly, he was very condescending, and would barely let me speak. I was treated like a statistic and not a person.
it's ok
Very unprofessional people that work there. The one girl Monica Thomas that works there like to send threatening messages to people on Facebook. I guess they hire anybody off the street. And for her to do that and be… working on this kind of field does not say much. If she is sending threatening messages over social media imagine what she says to the patients. Smh people like her should not be working with mentally ill patients.
Close to home
They let me bring in my son one time for my session and his ten years old and now I have to find a babysitter for it
They took me in quickly after I overdosed but we never reached a plan and my therapist (think her last name was Loebe?) there rolled her eyes at me when I talked about the abuse from my mother that led to my PTSD.… Honey, please don't get into the field if you can't handle it.
These people are Horrible... dont take you child to this place! My son tricked them easily, and i begged them to keep him for further observation. There response to my request was he is not showing any signs of suicidal… tendencies he came on a saturday and it is now tuesday they just came back from memorial day weekend! The medication takes 2 weeks to a month to fully take effect! Shame on this place! Its all about money for theses people a scam!
Great experience here, the lady who did my intake, Ann, was very very nice, extremely polite and emphatic. Dr. DeGuzman is an extremely unique character, but does his job very well.
Very Good. Dey say Kill yoself
My son was in the adolescent program. From the minute we walked in Everyone was so super nice and helpful! The facility was so nice and clean! The entire staff that I met from the Social Worker, Charge Nurse, Therapist,… Men working on the Unit (sorry i dont know their job title)were so friendly, warm and made me feel at ease. I was beyond stressed and emotional and the staff definitely helped to make me feel more at ease and I felt that my son was safe and in great hands. They helped us transition smoothly onto the next step!!
