Avoid Correctional Psychology Associates if you can. This place felt more interested in collecting money and building negative reports than actually helping people recover. They use subjective wording in discharge… summaries that can seriously affect court, probation, and custody situations, even after clients attend dozens of sessions. Instead of support or rehabilitation, the environment felt judgmental, cold, and focused on punishment. Staff had no problem labeling people while ignoring the effort they were making. Treatment should help people rebuild their lives, not create paperwork that tears them down further.

I had a very good experience with CPA. I originally worked with Charissa and later with Amity, and both were great to work with. At first, the group meetings felt like a burden, but after a few months I settled into the… process and really started to get value from it. I learned a lot about attachment styles, the stages of change, and how my past—especially my childhood—has influenced my behaviors. That awareness has helped me improve my relationships with others and make better decisions moving forward. Overall, the program gave me tools and perspective that I’ll continue to use long-term. I’m grateful for the experience and the growth that came from it.

This place had me do 2 evaluations on November 3rd 2025. It is now February 17th 2026 and I was supposed to receive results for the divorce/custody case after 45 days it has been 3 1/2 months. They are not communicating… anything with me I don’t know what’s going on. I’m just trying to take this back to court and it seems they don’t care or are not taking this seriously. I will not recommend this company to anyone ever please go somewhere else. This is ridiculous and I paid for the repot upfront so that’s probably why they are taking so long I just want to see my baby.

Bro this place is a disscras I Don't even want to give it any star's at all all they want is to control you and tell you what to do and luck that. And FYI if you really don't care about people then why do you do the job… your the reason why other therapist that actually cares can help the people that need the help because you have damaged them to where they can't trust people in the line of work. So if it were me I would never send anyone to this place at all

Not independent at all. They do ONLY want the referring agency wants. The agency says "find problems with him" and they skew the results to what the agency wants. THIS IS NOT A PROFESSIONAL SERVICE. Just another arm of… the State

I was in a group called Thinking for a Change (T4C) curriculum, this group is for offenders whose primary criminogenic need is criminal thinking. This is often the best fit for individuals who have a lengthy criminal… history but do not meet the criteria for substance abuse, anger management, or criminal culture. In addition to criminal thinking, this group covers basic mental health issues, emotion management, dealing with adversity, and communication skills. If the supervising agent is unable to determine a criminogenic need, it is usually judgment, impulse control, or problem solving, all of which are covered in this group. I was involved in a fight I have been taking U.A.s since 2016 and they have all been clean. The counselor Craig Van Houtte alone with Alex Araya of CPA recommended me for substance abuse at CPA 3840 York St #230, Denver, CO 80205 in order to make more money not for treatment purposes. They are predators, you are not treated as a customer or a person. You are just a way to make money. Cpa and RMOMS/
