CSAPA Émergence Tolbiac Detox and Rehab Services
CSAPA Émergence Tolbiac operates as an outpatient addiction-care centre in the 13th arrondissement of Paris, run by the non-profit Fondation L’Élan Retrouvé. Care is centred on reception, medical, psychological and social evaluation, followed by ongoing outpatient treatment for alcohol and polysubstance use. The centre can also arrange residential therapeutic placements for people needing a more structured setting, alongside support for affected family members.
Recorded care includes harm reduction and medication-assisted treatment, backed by a structured screening and assessment process on intake. Specific talking therapies aren’t detailed beyond this, so it’s worth asking directly which approaches apply to the level of care needed — provision varies by programme and by clinician.

How Much Does Treatment at CSAPA Émergence Tolbiac Cost?
As a publicly accredited CSAPA, care here is generally available at no direct cost to residents through the French national health system, with eligibility depending on residency and referral rather than being open to visitors from abroad. For context, private outpatient addiction treatment in the Paris area is typically quoted around €1,000–€3,500 (£900–£3,000) per month — a general market estimate, not this centre’s own pricing, and any residential placement arranged elsewhere would carry separate costs.
Contact the centre directly to understand how access works in practice, including what a referral or first appointment involves and whether any element of care would fall outside standard cover, before assuming a particular funding route applies to your situation.

CSAPA Émergence Tolbiac Reviews
If you’ve been treated at CSAPA Émergence Tolbiac, supported a family member through its care, or referred someone here as a healthcare professional, sharing your experience helps others weighing up their options.
Beyond reviews, it’s worth checking accreditation and licensing — this centre is accredited by the Agence Régionale de Santé (ARS) Île-de-France — along with the clinical team’s qualifications. A good question to ask directly is how the centre coordinates ongoing care with a person’s GP or other health providers once treatment begins.
The center has experience supporting people with addictions in relatively simple cases. For more complex cases, I recommend seeking help elsewhere. Mr. Bakkas

I came to drop off a sample, and the reception was adequate. However, I'm very disappointed because I have good reason to believe they didn't actually analyze my product and gave incorrect results. Perhaps the dosage… form was too unusual for them. Even though it wasn't them directly and it was just a collection center, they didn't provide any written results, nor did they mention the name of the lab that performed the analysis. This could have caused me serious problems if I had relied on their results.
A superbly organized and well-run center, staffed by top-notch, hand-picked practitioners, and offering a truly exceptional multidisciplinary approach. Having been ill for years, I had to be patient to be accepted, but… the wait was worth it. Even when they are full and unable to accommodate patients, they can offer occasional support to those in distress. It's important to remember that this isn't an emergency service, but rather a place for ongoing, regular care, and places are limited. While hospital emergency departments may be overcrowded and not yet fully equipped to handle addictions, this is nothing compared to the care provided by CSAPAs (Addiction Treatment and Prevention Centers), which is extremely professional. Every member of the team is highly trained to appropriately refer each patient who comes to the center. Congratulations on this work, congratulations on remaining so professional and never giving up on us. It's impressive and admirable that facilities like this exist. An incredible opportunity! We're truly in a new paradigm of care, and that's all for the better; they are clearly pioneers in patient care. Thank you for this personalized follow-up—adapted, tailored, dynamic, and evolving with the patient and their healthcare providers.
The staff are very kind, the service is efficient, they help me a lot, thank you to the team.
The reception was very unpleasant.
Great team. Their work is incredibly enriching, humane, and helpful. I was seen quickly for medical appointments. It's a shame the director (a tall brunette) is completely unsuitable.
Of my two appointments, this is one of the most suitable and pleasant health centers to visit and communicate with, a symbol of hope for public health, administration and addiction, looking forward to continuing my care… in this center which seems to really help sincerely, thank you.
Secretary Mélanie is fantastic, the CJC psychologists are great, and the educator too! Well done and best of luck to the whole team!! Reminiscing about the good old days
If you really need emergency care, that's not good. You arrive 7 minutes late. They won't see you. Just to leave for lunch before the scheduled time... It's a shame, a center meant to help staff recover from illness.… 😭😭😠😠😡😡
Enjoy listening!
The negative reviews are truly undeserved. This addiction treatment center saved my life, and I imagine it has saved many others as well. The team is very attentive, professional, and caring. Thank you, Emergence!
A three-month wait is a disgrace.
I went to this center to ask for HELP and to be LISTENED to, but none of that happened. I explained a rather tense situation, and they sent me away without taking my contact information. I do not recommend this center.… No help is provided, no listening, and no support is offered. So I'm going back to find help on my own. Despite the situation, I asked for help, and I was practically judged, but what's certain is that they didn't help me. I left a questionnaire where I reported this issue; we'll see...
Excellent welcome and attentive listening; we are quite confident about the future. Well done to the whole team!
