Where Is PsyQ – Den Haag (Centrum)?

This PsyQ location is at Lijnbaan 4, in the heart of The Hague (Den Haag), Zuid-Holland — Lijnbaan is one of the city centre’s main shopping streets, close to the Grote Markt and only a short walk from both Den Haag Centraal and Den Haag Hollands Spoor railway stations, so the setting is central rather than out of town.

The nearest airport is Rotterdam The Hague Airport, roughly 15km away, with Amsterdam Schiphol also reachable by direct train in under an hour. The location is easy to reach by tram, bus or train given its central position, but it’s worth confirming the exact entrance and current opening hours (weekdays 08:30–17:00 is recorded) with PsyQ before travelling.

How Much Does Treatment at PsyQ – Den Haag (Centrum) Cost?

PsyQ’s care here is delivered as specialist outpatient mental healthcare rather than a distinct addiction programme, so the outpatient figures typically quoted for Dutch addiction services — roughly €1,000–€3,200 (£900–£2,800) — are included as broader market context, not a like-for-like guide to this location’s own fees. This kind of care is usually accessed by Dutch residents through the statutory health insurance system via a GP or specialist referral rather than paid for privately, though eligibility depends on residency and referral and shouldn’t be assumed by someone visiting from abroad.

For an accurate picture of any cost, contact PsyQ directly and ask how a referral into this service works, whether a GP letter is required, and what, if anything, falls outside standard insurance cover.

PsyQ – Den Haag (Centrum) Reviews

Anyone with direct experience of this PsyQ location — whether as a patient, a family member who supported someone through treatment, or a referring healthcare professional — is warmly invited to add a review sharing what that experience was like.

Beyond reviews, it’s worth weighing accreditation and clinical staffing: PsyQ Den Haag Centrum is registered with the Dutch national regulator, the Inspectie Gezondheidszorg en Jeugd (IGJ). Anyone considering care here might reasonably ask how a referral into the service is arranged and what a first intake appointment typically involves.

In 2009, I was admitted to PSQ for six weeks. A very good nurse worked there who pulled me through what I had been through, so that I quickly became a strong woman again. His name was Albert, and he was better than the… psychiatrist and the doctor. After all these years, I have become a very strong woman and have never been admitted anywhere for mental health care again.

It's terrible. My normal psychologist said neither her or the other woman can help in the summer vacation, so I was assigned this other guy, who was so disappointing. It constantly felt like trying to prove myself and… he didn't seem to have the most basic knowledge. When I asked him why people with autism got extra time on exams, he couldn't answer cause he didn't know. He told me I can't be autistic cause I briefly made eye contact with him (???). The whole time, he was repeating everything I told him but just changing my sentence. This whole thing has me constantly stressed. Do NOT go here unless if you want to fight to be taken seriously so they don't just blame everything on hormones.

I wanted to write a review about this organization because I went there for years. I've had mostly good experiences with the care, especially with my therapist. I was treated very well, and I really appreciate the care.… It's sometimes very difficult to get good care in mental healthcare. I also had a very good psychiatrist there. This was my experience. I had a somewhat less positive experience during an edit session, but even that wasn't too bad. It helped quite a bit. I do think, however, that (in general) self-reliance should be promoted more, for example, through psychoeducation before starting treatment.

I would like to write a review about PsyQ. Dr. A. Badawi is extremely friendly, caring, and polite. You can tell that he genuinely wants to help – he uses all the treatment methods and techniques he knows. He gives… honest and clear answers to all questions. The medication is carefully tailored to the patient's needs, starting with small doses and observing the body's reaction. Dr. A. Badawi responds quickly to emails and calls back when necessary. He treats patients with great respect and is always punctual for appointments. The doctors and specialists who treat eating disorders do everything they can to help the patient understand the illness and return to better health step by step. The receptionists are always smiling, friendly, and very helpful. Contact via email and telephone is fast and efficient, which makes communication much easier. I recommend PsyQ!

Viona and Jeroen are very professional and dedicated therapists. Their sincere desire to help and their warm approach inspire a lot of confidence. Thanks to them, I feel heard, understood, and supported. Highly… recommended!

For a year, I had to explain myself for an hour every week. My psychologist, Monique van Winden, couldn't empathize with me and so invented a version of me that doesn't exist. My trust in mental health care has been… severely damaged, and after this attempt, I'm truly done with it.

Years ago, I was treated at this center for two years for obsessive-compulsive disorder. I had a fantastic therapist, Janneke Ketelaars, who saved my life: she sent me for light therapy to cure my insomnia, taught me… assertiveness, and used mindfulness programs. After all these years, I can only say it was worth it; the therapy was excellent and evidence-based. Greetings from Poland, where I've lived for years. Gosia 😉

Seeing someone weekly since April, who has no idea of who I really am, never took notes or saved any information, and accusing me to lie when I complained about not being treated for the issues I was referred for. Is… shocking for me. Open up in life is so difficult, and once you try to give yourself a chance.... this is the end. They treat you as a number and accuse you to be the problem. Please do not trust them.

Misdiagnosed and treated unpleasantly. At the SOLK department, my light sensitivity and photophobia were diagnosed as psychosis and depression. The idea of a somatic condition was summarily crushed, as was my… "aversion" to cognitive behavioral therapy; I wasn't allowed to think any of that. I also immediately received the newsletter for people with psychosis sent to my home unsolicited. I subsequently underwent further examinations. It turned out to be a somatic condition, not psychosis or depression, and I am now on the correct treatment.

Rianne van Rutten falsifies your file. It caused me trauma. She also breaks promises and shifts blame onto her client. I find her unreliable and completely unsuitable as a psychologist. She's too preoccupied with her… own psychological vulnerability to be able or willing to treat clients. She's completely uninterested in a client's story and always has another reason for not addressing something.

The first appointment was promising but later was very different. They treat patients like criminals. The doctors there need training or maybe they're in wrong profession.

Unfortunately, they are busier hanging up rainbow flags than offering good care/help, which is needed more than ever. As a result, all religious people no longer feel welcome.

I was rejected because of a previously established IQ of 65, which was determined 15 years ago. On second thought, I am glad to have been rejected. Terrible organization.

According to Psyq, if you can look people in the eye, you can't be autistic. This says enough about their knowledge. And then stuff them with ads

This institution is no good. They rip you off; after an initial consultation, they hit my entire deductible—it’s just outrageous! You’d be better off jumping off a bridge before coming here.

For people with (severe) PTSD who find the waiting time at PsyQ too long, I would recommend Splinter GGZ.

Disrespectful organization!!! 1 star is already too much, you guys People who need help are made even worse by your practitioners !!! I am going to file a complaint soon.

There's always an excuse for canceling appointments! Ridiculous! Patients are just numbers, and you always have to check everything. Just make sure there are enough practitioners within the organization who can help… people with their mental health in a timely manner! They don't choose to struggle with themselves; they just want help!

WARNING!! Avoid psychiatrist Pardoen. If you need help tapering off your medication, he flatly refuses to help you. It is truly a nightmare.

Just dumped because they didn't know what else to do. Officially, it's called 'untreatable,' but it boils down to figure it out yourself...
