Indigo Midden-Nederland Detox and Rehab Services
Indigo Midden-Nederland provides short-term outpatient mental healthcare for the Midden-Nederland region, including Utrecht, generally described as a course of five to twelve sessions delivered through individual or group consultation as well as online support. The service is recorded as generalist basic mental healthcare (Generalistische Basis GGz) for people with mild to moderately severe psychological complaints such as anxiety disorders and depression; no substance use or addiction-specific treatment is stated for this location.
Recorded elements include psychodiagnostic and psychiatric examination, medication treatment, self-help and guidance, and online e-health support, with EMDR named specifically for anxiety, obsessive complaints and trauma; individual and group therapy are both flagged as offered. Exactly which of these applies depends on the programme and clinician involved, so it’s worth checking directly what would apply to the support being sought.

How Much Does Treatment at Indigo Midden-Nederland Cost?
As a generalist outpatient mental-health service rather than an addiction programme, Indigo Midden-Nederland doesn’t map neatly onto typical Dutch addiction-treatment cost bands, so the outpatient range quoted for addiction services in this market — roughly €1,000–€3,200 (£900–£2,800) — is included only as broader context. This type of short-course outpatient care is usually accessed by Dutch residents through the statutory health insurance system, generally via a GP referral, rather than paid for privately, though eligibility depends on residency and referral rather than being available to any visitor.
For a clear answer on cost, contact Indigo Midden-Nederland directly and ask how referral into the service works, whether a GP letter is needed, and what a typical five-to-twelve-session course would involve.

Indigo Midden-Nederland Reviews
A review from someone who has used Indigo Midden-Nederland — a client, a family member who supported them, or a GP or other professional who has referred into the service — helps other people considering care here get a fuller picture.
Beyond reviews, it’s worth weighing how a service is staffed and regulated — outpatient mental healthcare in the Netherlands sits within a nationally regulated system — and asking a practical question, such as how referral into the service works and how long a first appointment typically takes to arrange.
Cannot be reached by phone. Logging in via the site doesn't work. Well, how am I supposed to get in touch then?
Very serious and disappointing experience with Indigo Midden-Nederland. On July 13, 2026, I was referred to GGZ Online via Indigo Amersfoort. Because I heard nothing after that, I contacted them myself on August 5 and… clearly indicated that I was waiting for help. Even after that, there was no further action or feedback. It was only on September 8, after I had inquired again myself, that I was told that my referral from Indigo had not been processed correctly. As a result, I am nearly two months down the line without appropriate follow-up care. In mental healthcare, a professional care provider should be expected to handle referrals carefully, promptly, and in a verifiable manner. A patient who needs help should not have to chase after their treatment themselves for weeks, only to eventually discover that a referral is administratively incorrect. I expect Indigo to take responsibility for this, investigate what went wrong, and ensure that patients do not lose necessary care or waiting time due to internal errors.
Unfortunately, something went wrong several times with referrals to Indigo. I clearly expressed my dissatisfaction. At the end of the day, a manager politely called me back to discuss the situation. He expressed his… regret and will look into the process to learn from it. This was a pleasant conversation and is greatly appreciated.
We received support from experts in their field. Thank you very much.
I was referred by my GP for an intake at Indigo. I had a good consultation with the first psychologist, but in the last fifteen minutes, a second psychologist joined in, impersonally explaining that I probably wouldn't… be eligible for treatment. I was charged €379 for this one-hour intake! The therapist was supposed to call me briefly after the appointment to discuss a possible follow-up appointment, but during this conversation, they decided I didn't want to continue with Indigo. I was charged €90.21 for this short 5-minute phone call. Absolutely ridiculous, don't go there! So, I've spent almost €500 and haven't made any progress with them.
Received excellent help
I'd like to share my experience after my treatment at this institution. Unfortunately, I'm disappointed with the reimbursement issue. I had inquired beforehand about reimbursement and received confirmation. However, my… deductible increased without my knowledge. This has caused additional stress. I hope a solution can be found.
Regarding the Harderwijk location. I received very good help. The practitioner listened well, made good suggestions, and was clear about the possible financial implications of the medication (and of course side effects,… etc.). I am doing much better now. I would say don't let the bad reviews deter you. If I had done that, I would have missed out on excellent help. And no, I have no other relationship with Indigo Harderwijk other than as a patient.
Indigo Midden Nederland is not transparent regarding the costs that will be billed. The costs were supposed to be reimbursed by the health insurer, but you do have to pay a deductible, it was stated beforehand. No… information was provided regarding the prices, costs, and how they are calculated. Afterwards, I received a bill via the health insurance without a specification of the performance code or the number of minutes of the consultation. I contacted Indigo by phone regarding the above. They promise to adjust the payment specification. And also to provide transparency on the website regarding the NZA healthcare performance model. Awaiting that...
Advice: choose another psychologist. If you stop your treatment here, you have to pay 36 euros because the psychologist has to email your GP, and another 36 euros because they call you (unsolicited) to confirm that you… want to stop the treatment. Absurd, 70+ euros just because you no longer want to be treated there, even though you communicated this clearly and in a timely manner by email.
Just really terrible healthcare. Had a 1-hour introductory meeting where that person was unkind and disrespectful and quickly said that they couldn't help me. And on top of that, the whole ordeal cost €228. Definitely… never again.
Terrible care providers. We had an online consultation at Indigo with a woman named Naima. The consultation lasted half an hour, and she finally said we couldn't help you. She was completely unfriendly, disrespectful,… and didn't fully listen to our complaint. Furthermore, we ended up paying a €223 healthcare bill for nothing. A truly terrible experience.
