I received aftercare at Castle Craig. Day treatment included a self-image group, a schema group, and individual schema therapy. I received tremendous help and I am very satisfied with the content of the therapy and all… the therapists. And in particular Lisa, who assisted me with incredible skill. A huge thank you! Denise

Very bad experience with Castle Craig. They only care about money. After my rejection, they suddenly started sending invoices that seem completely made up. Without a clear explanation, they just make up costs and send… them. They also used my deductible of several years, meaning I now have to pay more than €600 without ever having been treated. The customer service is downright terrible. You are never put through to the finance department, and you don't get clear answers. Everything is brushed off, and nothing gets resolved. Absolutely not recommended.

A great team of people. They are there for their clients with a listening ear and professional advice, therapies, and personal conversations. In addition to help with addiction, there is also attention to trauma, the… past, and self-image, which makes recovery a wonderful complete package.

Worst treatment clinic I have ever dealt with. After more than 6 months of back-and-forth communication, despite the fact that I do not speak Dutch, they failed to properly guide me or move forward with my treatment.… Instead of arranging the agreed treatment in Scotland, they sent me to a pointless “motivational meeting” that added absolutely no value. On top of that, they sent my insurance invoices totaling over €1,200 for services that achieved nothing and did not contribute to my recovery in any meaningful way. The lack of professionalism, poor communication, and complete waste of time and resources make this experience extremely disappointing. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone seeking serious and effective treatment

Two years ago, I started my therapy at Castle Craig. Yesterday I had my final session. During that time, I was able to go through various modules and started working on the underlying issues of my addiction. It has… undoubtedly been one of the best choices of my life. I have regained my inner strength. The people at Castle Craig are committed, knowledgeable, and truly walk alongside you in your recovery. If you are struggling with an addiction yourself: this is the place where you can get the best care and guidance!

Top organization! They really know what they are talking about and treat more than just addiction! After all, there is often more behind our use than just substances. I am very grateful.💙

Forget this agency, but my advice is: do not seek help here. It is a purely commercial organization. I have asked for help often and have been at it for a year without results. Therapist Yahia does nothing, and neither… does Jenny. Nothing is remembered and nothing changes. This is not helping me. Please stay away from this and focus on yourself instead – that *does* help.

It is because of Castle Craig and my psychologist Lisa that I now believe in the power of therapy. The lessons I was taught, both in Scotland and especially in the following 2 years of aftercare in Den Haag, have… transformed my way of thinking and looking at the world. I have learned how to better deal with my emotions, and found out how to have a positive relationship with myself. I consider choosing to ask for help from Castle Craig to be the most important decision I have made so far in my life, and Lisa to be the most important person I have met. I would recommend to anyone who is in need of help, especially if you are hesitant towards therapy or have been disappointed in the past. I felt very well cared for here. I was seen as a human being, and truly helped.

Overall, I was very satisfied with the communication, attention, professionalism, and quality of service provided by Castle Craig. I have now been clean for over 14 months and have got my life back. The therapists I had… the privilege of working with in both Scotland and the Netherlands were absolutely top-notch in every respect.

After having gained varying experiences with mental healthcare in the Netherlands for nearly two decades, I want to say that I have never before been so impressed by an organization as Castle Craig. I wish everyone… struggling with addiction—and any underlying issues—the opportunity to receive help at this clinic. It is small-scale, which ensures short lines of communication between the staff, yet just large enough to have all the necessary expertise in-house. I feel heard, even when I have a different opinion about the treatment. I feel helped, even when I struggle to ask for help. All in all, I am very grateful. Finally, I would like to add that I feel supported in sharing my experience, by comparing all the stories I hear from people I meet at meetings scattered throughout the city with the stories of similar organizations. Virtually nothing but praise, an exceptional fact in the world of care where every person comes with an instruction manual.

After multiple relapses and disappointments with addiction care in the Netherlands, I ended up at Castle Craig on the recommendation of my GP. From the moment I walked in, I immediately felt appreciated and really got… the impression that they wanted to help me. I spent 10 weeks inpatient in Scotland (highly recommended for anyone struggling with addiction!) and subsequently received intensive aftercare in The Hague on Bordewijklaan. This focused on trauma and schema therapy. I am currently undergoing treatment for OCD, and I firmly believe that I will successfully complete this as well. The therapists are wonderful and supportive people; they want to help wherever they can and make you feel comfortable. The only thing expected of you is 100% commitment to your treatment, which is more than logical, of course. I dare say with 100% certainty that Castle Craig saved my life. The way I walked in a year ago and the difference between where I am now is immense. Of course, I did it myself, but with all the help from Castle Craig. I am incredibly grateful and can recommend Castle Craig to anyone struggling with addiction!

I have learned so much about myself with the help of the staff at Castle Craig. I received very pleasant and appropriate guidance. I received tools from them that I will benefit from for the rest of my life! You have to… do it yourself, but it is nice to have people who show you the right way! I am very grateful that I ended up at Castle Craig and I certainly recommend them if you are looking for help!

I received wonderful and excellent help from psychologist Lisa Heemstra. She is an incredibly warm, loving, and empathetic woman, with whom I truly felt heard. Outside of the sessions, she was also available via email… or (if I had wanted) telephone contact. So, very involved. Apart from that, she possesses a wealth of accurate, up-to-date knowledge, which she manages to convey in a manageable and practical way. As far as I am concerned, this is the perfect combination for a healthcare provider, in this case a psychologist. The sessions with Nina Oostveen, prior to the sessions with Lisa, were also simply very pleasant. There, too, I felt heard, and I was able to learn a few things there as well. In the good sense of the word ;-). The other practitioners, psychologists, volunteers, and receptionists you encounter in the hallway were exceptionally friendly. You can help yourself to unlimited coffee and tea... and take a seat. There is a homey atmosphere.

Hanged on the line for half an hour, went from 2 people waiting to 0. Then you are told that they don't have time and you have to call back later. Just say that right away...

I have started my 1 to 1 therapy with Lisa in Castle Craig end of 2022. Around May, I have started doing schema therapy with Lisa still and I am very glad to have done it. This has been proposed to me and I can not be… more grateful for this amazing proposal which has changed me entirely. I had and still having such a wonderful experience by discovering the real me and to have a clear understanding what impact my past had on me all along. Due to the schema therapy I happily can say that I have all the tools to move forward in life and handling my emotion but mostly accepting things the way they come and learn on how to deal with it in the proper way which makes a complete difference. I would definitely advise anybody in my surrounding to go through schema therapy, this helps very very much and also make us grow within our self ! A big thank you to Lisa which is being incredible through out this all process and thank you to Castle Craig to have let me lived this experience. I have very very happy to be who I am today !

I'm a woman with addiction, but I've been in recovery for a year and a month. It gives me tremendous peace, freedom, positivity, and health. Castle Craig is a healthcare provider with expertise in various therapies.… When I first started, I wanted to make quick progress, but it all felt like it was taking a very long time. I didn't realize then that it was a process that takes time. The combination of the support group, meetings (AA/CA/NA), working on the 12 steps with a sponsor, and the outpatient support at Castle Craig has been incredibly valuable support in my recovery. Give yourself this step and, above all, do it for YOURSELF!

It has been almost two years since I was clean, following a fantastic experience in Scotland. My behavior still left something to be desired, but fortunately, I am receiving perfect aftercare. My therapist, Lisa, is… truly excellent, and I can now deal with myself and others much better. I don't think I would have made it without this aftercare. A thousand thanks, Castle Craig. I have a life again, I have peace again, but above all, thank you for the good tools I was able to learn to build a solid foundation against this progressive, merciless disease.

5 star review well deserved. During 1 year therapy I have turned my life around - of course for better. I would like to thank my therapist, Lisa for all the guidance and help that i received during my treatment. After… trying two different clinics i had very low expectations regarding any trauma treatment in Netherlands. I guess life suprised me with a therapist that dedicated time and effort to help. I mean really help, be there when you need someone to trust, sharing a compassion, point at the right direction. All my expectations where met and the quality of the treatment literally blowed my mind. I was especially amazed how complicated knowledge can be transfered into simple words/tasks and then used in practice during sets of exercises. I am eternally grateful for all the support received during treatment. Recommend to everyone!

I received wonderful treatment, both at the clinic in Ireland and the day treatment in The Hague. I learned an incredible amount about myself and addiction. The therapists were very kind; they take their time with you… and really get to work on your goals. Five months ago, I sought help from this clinic as a broken man, and received a warm welcome from Jenny, who conducted my intake interview. Their advice was to go to Scotland for six weeks of hospitalization, followed… by 12 weeks of therapy in The Hague. Since I was truly at my wit's end, I followed their advice. Now that I've entered the final two weeks of therapy and am taking stock, I can only conclude that this was the best decision of my life. Thanks in part to the group therapies and my individual sessions with Anne, my life has changed for the better in every way!

After my time at the clinic, IGHD Rotterdam, for drug addiction, I moved to The Hague. Here, I started a safehouse program for a year. At the time, I was recommended Castle Craig addiction care. I immediately set to… work on myself. I had 12 weeks of day treatments; they were intense, but I certainly learned a great deal from them. I was able to confront a lot of old behavior and became very aware. I learned to deal with my emotions and to reflect on how I actually feel right now. I successfully completed this. I also started improving my self-image through the “self-image therapy groups,” which has made me a lot more self-confident. I am grateful for that. In addition, I had the opportunity to follow schema therapy, where I discovered which modes I was in, such as the strict adult or the vulnerable child. I am grateful for the help I received for almost 18 months. In a few months, I will have been clean for 18 months, and I could not have done it without the help of Castle Craig. Working on the 12 steps is also good for personal development. I certainly recommend it as well. I am living on my own for the first time now and have a study + job and very sweet people around me, which I never had when I was still using a lot of drugs. Take that first step!

I have been in treatment for alcohol. Castle Craig contacted the psychiatrist I was being treated by for depression. Consequently, CC took over this treatment. After some time, CC decided to discontinue my addiction… treatment; my depression treatment at CC was also terminated at the same time, with the advice to ask my GP for a referral to PSYQ. For reasons unknown to me, my depression is not being treated, and I am running on fumes. I am not happy with how CC has handled this matter.

My bad experience with this club still stands, even if they continue under a different name on Google. One star is actually too much, but unfortunately, zero stars isn't an option.

Miserable company that asks for exorbitant amounts for simply registration. Paid for 316 euro simply for registration. Avoid these people!
