Embark Behavioral Health – Ashburn

I was at embark for about 3 months which is surprising considering I had it better off then most of the other kids mentally. I do think it was helpful and especially the family therapy was the most beneficial thing I… got from php. However I feel that the program is way too long and a lot of times they make you extend. And a lot of times I could tell that they care more about money than us. The staff were kind of annoying but some were ok. It gets exhausting being there for so long and it gets really repetitive. It was hard to keep up with school and my social life and I felt like it truly was more of a roadblock than anything. I got really bad treatment burnout after being there for about a month and I think that they should shorten the time that you’re there for because after coming out in December, I have absolutely no interest in continuing therapy or ever having any sort of mental health help again and I haven’t. While I did get some benefits, I do not miss this place at all and im happy to know that I will never be going back there.

The staff is wonderful here and very caring. They truly want what’s best for you!

Embark at Ashburn is the absolute best outpatient treatment in the area. My child who turned 18 while in treatment with them experienced a seamless transition from the teen to the young adult program. Her therapist and… medication provider were extremely accessible and knowledgeable. She is a completely different person. Embark changed our lives and saved our daughters. I would recommend Embark at Ashburn to any family who has a teen or young adult struggling with mental health. We’ve been through many treatment programs and this was our last stop finally :) thank you Embark!!

Embark in ashburn was truly a life changing experience for the better. I had been struggling with my mental health for awhile. My family had come across embark, and after being through so many places that weren’t… helpful, we decided to give this place a try. I was very hesitant at first, knowing the past of other places being a let down. After I walked in for the first time my mind had completely changed. The atmosphere alone is so welcoming and comforting. The actual space and roominess and the overall vibe was and is great. The staff as well as the other patients there were so nice and welcoming right off the bat. To me, it’s not all about the place, but the people. On top of the building being beautiful, the staff were beautiful. They always worked together to accommodate and understand what is truly going on. I have never felt more heard or understood in my whole life, which is something I had always struggled with. My needs were always met, in a timely manner too. I know for a fact they always have, and always will care. The staff always find a solution for struggles going on. I am proud to say out of all the facilities I have been to, Embark was hands down the most helpful. They genuinely care, and not many places can confidently say that. There’s the obvious fact of they did not “cure” my mental struggles, but they did provide me with lots and lots of information to help me with any situation. Because of Embark, I now know how to properly live a safe and healthy happy life. Without embark I would not be who I am today. I am so beyond grateful for each staff member there and all they taught me. I can gladly recommend this place to people knowing they will be able to get any help they might need.

The staff is very diverse, offering a range of personalities that will adhere to any situation and… they provide such a kind experience the moment you walk through the door. I just completed an intensive outpatient program (IOP) that completely transformed my life. I can't recommend it enough - 5 stars all the way! The staff was incredibly supportive, and the program was well-structured and… organized. The group therapy sessions helped me connect with others who understood what I was going through, and the individual therapy sessions provided personalized guidance. The program also offered holistic activities that enhanced the overall experience. The aftercare support was exceptional, ensuring a smooth transition back into everyday life. This IOP has been a game-changer for me, equipping me with the tools and support I needed to overcome my challenges and thrive.

Embark Behavioral Health is a great calming and beautiful environment for those parents looking for services for their child. I have been to the office on more than one occasion; the staff is always very helpful,… friendly and professional. Any parent that is looking to have their child start treatment here will be very satisfied with their decision!

I am so impressed with Embark Behavioral Health. The training they provide their therapists ensures that they have the best possible tools for working with teens and young adults. And the facility is warm and welcoming… with a variety of spaces—all of them beautifully furnished. I so wish that that Embark had been available for our daughter.
