Paid $175 for a dehumidifier that I was told worked. Got it home turned it on all night never drew the first drop of moisture. The fan run but the compressor doesn't get cold. They refused to refund my $175. That would… have paid for a week of groceries. This is coming from a disabled Veteran. Den of thieves!
Some of the prices here are absolutely crazy! Most expensive thrift store i have ever visited!
Overpriced and overcharged. The discount posted was not honored. The lady counted out the price with the discount then charged me full price. I live too far away to go back and deal with it. No restrooms. Go somewhere… else or be cheated and disappointed with the staff.
Great place friendly workers and very well clean
Wow! How can u charge an outrageous price for used items thats donated? Just because it says Nike on the shirt doesnt mean charge the same price as u would for a new Nike shirt! Ur a thrift store, charge thrift store… prices! I'm surprised y'all keep business!
Always loved the hope house but some stuff was marked very high.
Went to North Alabama court services for treatment assessment. Was wonderful. People are very courteous and friendly.
They do not close at no 345pm on Saturdays they close at 1230 no later than 1pm......also need to keep clothes for 1 dollars all the time....i shop here regularly when you put the clothes back to 1 dollar
Prices are just to high on a lot of things it all was donated to you so try giving us a better price on yard sale goods the HOPE HOUSE can do better go in there for a toy car $20. Dollars it’s used come on I look it up… Amazon brand new in the box was only $24 dollars not much of a discount for used merchandise
I just love the Blountsville stores. The inventory is ever changing. Jeanie and Danielle are always a pleasure to deal with. Sometime I go in just have someone smile and say hello to me. I am in the store on average… once a week and I just love that they are always putting out new items. Since Jeanie took over managing, I am in there more than I ever was before. So ladies, keep up the great work!
As a lifelong thrifting enthusiast, I’ve always appreciated the charm and value that stores like Hope House provide. I used to enjoy making trips from Cullman to the Blountsville location, especially when it was managed… by the elderly lady who helped create a welcoming atmosphere. However, I’ve been increasingly disappointed with the changes at this location in recent months. Pricing has become inconsistent and, in some cases, higher than retail. For example, I recently saw a Dollar Tree brand moisturizer priced at $6, which is far above its original cost. I know this for certain because my little girl enjoys the dollar tree to buy skin care and make up for play & pretend. Additionally, I’ve had multiple negative experiences with a staff member, possibly named Jenny. On several occasions, she has been noticeably rude, and once even closed the store at 3:00 PM despite posted hours stating it remains open until 4:00 PM. It’s disheartening to see these changes in what I understood to be a ministry-focused organization. I hope the leadership takes this feedback into consideration and works to restore the friendly and fair environment that once made this location so special.
Nice place to donate One man's trash is another mans treasure
Closes earlier than sign says. Must not want business.
Always find something I have to have. Love this place
Prices have increased to ridiculous prices! Very disappointed
This was the best thrift store I have been to in a while as far as being neat, clean and employees are friendly. The prices are just a bit higher on a few things but for the most part it averages out when they have 50%… off on seasonal clothing. Also this organization is for a local charity that does so many things for the county. The employees are very helpful and nice. If you are looking for antique items or vintage items they are stocked. I can’t wait to go again!
