How Much Does Treatment at Hospital Lusíadas Alfragide Cost?
As Hospital Lusíadas Alfragide is a general psychiatric and neurological hospital rather than a dedicated addiction programme, the area’s typical outpatient guide of about €700–€2,300 (£600–£2,000) a month, and residential-style care from around €5,800 (£5,000) a month, are included as broader context rather than a like-for-like price for this hospital’s own services.
Contact the hospital directly for its own consultation and admission fees, ask whether medical care during an inpatient stay is billed separately, and how costs are handled if a stay runs longer than planned.

Hospital Lusíadas Alfragide Reviews
If you or a family member has had a consultation or a stay at Hospital Lusíadas Alfragide, adding a review would help others in the Lisbon area weighing up their choices.
Beyond reviews, accreditation and staffing matter: the hospital is registered with the Entidade Reguladora da Saúde (ERS). It’s worth asking how inpatient admission works for dependency-related care, and what support is arranged for after discharge.
Excellent service! I attended this hospital for a few weeks and the care was always impeccable! I want to give a special thank you to Dr. Isabel and Physiotherapist Simão for all their support.
They can't work properly for that kind of money, they can't coordinate services with the insurance company, the doctors don't care about their patients, they don't pay attention, they don't look at test results,… nothing. You have to wait two hours for an appointment, they don't respond to emails, you have to wait over an hour on the phone, and no one ever comes back.
Very bad experience at this hospital. My aunt, who is treated at this Lusíadas unit, takes weeks to get a response to simple requests. For the price we pay for these services, the response we get is very poor.
I am filing a complaint regarding a billing error and abusive conduct. Before scheduling an appointment, I contacted your Contact Center to inquire about the price. I repeatedly explained the type of appointment and was… informed that the cost would be €80.00. As a precaution, I made a second contact to confirm that this type of appointment would be properly recorded and communicated to the professional. The appointment took place, but was subsequently billed for €110.00, in clear disagreement with the price I was informed of and on which I agreed to the service. I await the invoice with the correct amount of €80.00. After contesting the invoice, the only response I received was a request for additional information, despite having already identified the patient and selected the Hospital Lusíadas Alfragide unit in the contact form. If this information is not internally included in the process, it is a failure of your administrative procedures, which cannot be attributed to the client. Even more serious, on July 5th, the following email was sent: "We remind you that invoice D26C06/7874 is outstanding. You must settle it within 5 days; after this period, the process will proceed to litigation. Lusiadas Saude 217704040". It is unacceptable to threaten litigation regarding an invoice that is formally disputed and whose value results from an error attributable to your services.
I would like to offer my sincere praise to Ema, an assistant on the Palliative Care team. She is an excellent professional, extremely humane, attentive, and very dear to all those who have the privilege of interacting… with her. Her affection, dedication, and professionalism truly make a difference in the most difficult moments. Thank you very much, Ema. I wish you all the best and continued success in the excellent work you do every day.
The facilities are good, but it deserves to have a parking lot sized to meet the needs of the users.
My name is João and I am a drug addict. It was in this hospital, under the treatment and care of Dr. Ana Margarida Neto, that I managed to end many years of heroin addiction. She saved my life. I had tried everything,… but in vain. Here I found a new direction for my life and an end to so much suffering and decay. The treatment with Buvidal. Therefore, when I read such derogatory comments here, I am incredulous. I believe that the system is not perfect and that this hospital needs more resources and conditions to develop, but to classify it as very bad seems wrong to me. JP
The female psychiatrist made us wait for 1 hour even though we had an appointment, she rushed, didn’t listen and gave nothing useful but just prescribed drugs which make you addicted later. What kind of treatment is… that?! Scam
Waiting time: more than 1 hour, even though the appointment had been scheduled about 2 months in advance and there was no line. Consultation time: something like 10 minutes before the doctor abruptly ended the… conversation and asked me to leave (apparently because he was behind schedule due to the appointment starting so late). Price: €110. Treatment: nothing to say because I received no meaningful help during the consultation.
A very pleasant experience with Dr. Tânia Lampreia, who was very kind and explained everything very clearly.
Quick service and very competent.
Congratulations on the excellent service! From the reception to the examination room, everything was 5 stars! How wonderful it is to be cared for by such lovely people 🤍 Val, with her kindness, made all the difference… with her words 🙏
try calling them to get help and feel even worse. I would give minus star if I could. I needed urgent help and left feeling neglected. The person who answered my call didn´t even ask why I called.
I had an appointment for 6:40 PM, I arrived at 6:20 PM and left at 7:50 PM without being seen because they had no idea when they would see me! If you're going to be this late, don't take appointments or tell people it's… first-come, first-served or according to your interests: because so many people arrived after me and were seen. The receptionist was Andréia and the doctor was Isabel Amorim.
Excellent, excellent, excellent Nurse Filipa and everyone who accompanied me on two different days while I had a cardiac angio-CT scan showed love, care, and patience like I've never seen in my life. Wonderful team and… all the staff. Absolutely the best. Well done, giant!
Gratitude to all who help us with health and affection always.
The computer system is often down, which means I have to go back to the hospital to pick up prescriptions. There is a lot of confusion and disorganization in scheduling appointments, and the prices are too high for the… service provided.
New hospital, with very friendly and professional staff. It's regrettable that the entrance area on the ground floor has poor access conditions. Both the reception area and the waiting room are poorly positioned. The… access door to the facilities, being automatic, is constantly opening, letting in icy wind or rain, affecting both staff and visitors, especially those who have to wait, sometimes for long periods of time, in the cold.
Post-appointment support is nonexistent; it's impossible to contact the hospital's administrative office.
Terrible reception service. You take a number, wait, and they tell you to go upstairs. I take another number, wait. In the end, I arrived late for my appointment. Everything was very slow and confusing.
I had a very negative experience at the Lusíadas Hospital in Alfragide. There was a major misunderstanding regarding the appointment booking, and I wasted time due to an incorrect appointment. The service at reception… was confusing and unprofessional. I hope they improve their organization and communication with patients.
I cannot fail to thank everyone at Hospital Lusíadas Alfragide, especially Dr. Manuel and his entire team, all the nurses, assistants and administrative staff, who were extraordinary in caring for my brother Miguel. I… have never seen so much kindness, so much care, so much dedication from healthcare professionals. Thank you all so much. You were extraordinary and I wish you all the best, and this hospital too.
My father was hospitalized here for several weeks. The inpatient area was very cramped, there was a high turnover of staff, and it was difficult to communicate with the clinical team. It was also extremely expensive.
Psychological torture for those who need calm and to reflect on life and expect to receive adequate support (except for some members who have dignity according to the code of ethics, in addition to delays in… reimbursements that should be granted, lack of in-person support, no one to show their face as a person in charge of resolving issues on the spot, it does not minimally meet the needs of alcohol addiction patients, mixing all types of patients from bedridden to others with various pathologies).
I would like to thank Dr. José Veiga, the MRI technician Sónia, the nursing technician, and the receptionists on duty (whose names I unfortunately don't remember) for the attention, care, affection, and commitment they… showed from our arrival at the Imaging Department until the release of my daughter's medical report, so that it wasn't necessary to reschedule the orthopedic appointment. You were all truly incredible. Thank you so much!
