How Much Does Treatment at Hospital Lusíadas Braga Cost?
As a general hospital rather than a dedicated addiction treatment centre, the area’s typical outpatient guide of about €700–€2,300 (£600–£2,000) a month is included here as broader context for the dependency consultations on offer, rather than as the hospital’s own quoted rate for this particular service.
Contact the hospital directly to ask what a dependency consultation costs, whether follow-up appointments are priced the same, and how a referral for further psychiatric or medical care would work.

Hospital Lusíadas Braga Reviews
A review from a patient seen at Hospital Lusíadas Braga, or from a relative who accompanied them to an appointment, would help other people in the Braga area weighing up their options.
Beyond reviews, it’s worth checking accreditation: the hospital is registered with the Entidade Reguladora da Saúde (ERS). One useful question is how the dependency consultations here connect to any wider psychiatric or medical care if it’s needed.
Unfortunately, the automated call system causes patients to lose time. This method is still widely used, and in your case, it makes people lose patience, give up, and call Trofa Saúde, where they can be attended by real… assistants. The app is convenient, but often it's always necessary to deal with something "with a person" and not a machine. That's my input.
Good morning I booked a neurology appointment at the Lusiadas Hospital in Braga at the beginning of October. I was attended to "through a recording," which scheduled my appointment for October 16th at 10:45 am. As I did… not receive confirmation, I called 4 times on the 15th, and no one answered. The next day, I called again, and the person who answered said that I had no appointment scheduled. If I went to Braga, I would be met with a closed door after traveling 60km. 1-Why don't you replace the awful recordings with assistants as it was before? Because this is the second time I've gone there and come back without being seen. There should be more respect for the patients, who are the ones who keep you going.
Professional, very friendly and attentive.
Putting customers on hold to speak with a machine that doesn't understand anything we're saying is an experience I consider disrespectful. Then, making them wait to speak with a real assistant is an invitation to stop… seeking care at this hospital.
I want to thank the administrative assistant Jéssica Prieto at Lusíadas Braga for her professionalism and empathy.
I loved the reaction from the young man Diogo Ferreira.
Very negative experience with the parking lot at Hospital Lusíadas. The spaces are so tight that it is extremely difficult to open the doors and remove small children from their car seats. The most worrying thing was… the solution given by the security guard: he told me that I should first remove the children from the car and only then park. In other words, in a parking lot, a parent is placed in the situation of having to remove small children before parking, potentially leaving them unsupervised while the adult maneuvers. We are in a hospital, not a simple parking lot. It is unacceptable that there are no minimum conditions for safely entering and exiting the car with small children. This situation should be urgently reviewed.
It is unacceptable that the appointment system functions so poorly. I tried to access the application several times throughout the day, on several different days, including at times when there would be less traffic, and… I couldn't even log in. Therefore, this is not an isolated difficulty, but a problem that effectively prevents access to the service. The telephone service is also terrible and totally ineffective, making the process even more frustrating. When someone needs to book an appointment, they shouldn't have to spend hours trying to overcome technical problems or non-functioning service channels. Lusíadas should address this issue urgently. It is incomprehensible that an institution of this size makes something as basic as booking an appointment so difficult. I sincerely hope they invest in resolving these access problems, because the quality of a healthcare service also begins with the ease with which the user can access it.
I was quite dissatisfied with my experience at the Dermatology appointment with Dr. Álvaro Machado. I scheduled the appointment specifically because of significant hair loss and expected a careful evaluation of my hair… and scalp, as well as an attempt to understand the possible cause of the hair loss. However, I felt that my complaint was not properly assessed. My hair was practically not examined, which left me with the feeling that the consultation did not meet my expectations or the reason why I sought a specialist. When seeking a dermatologist for significant hair loss, I consider it essential that there is a proper clinical evaluation before defining any guidance or treatment. I am leaving this review because I believe it is important for other patients to know about my experience.
It's not worth going to this hospital. Paying a lot for better service and leaving with terrible service. I will not go to the Lusíadas hospital network again.
Good morning. I want to help Hospital Lusíadas improve its services, so here are some less pleasant facts: 1- Terrible telephone service, excessively slow (unnecessarily occupying the network, around 40 minutes),… ineffective, with an unintelligent machine and/or secretarial staff who leave the client hanging on an endless call or end it due to exhaustion from waiting; 2- Double billing, by email, for payments made at the counter; 3- Mandatory app, but unable to display/archive the images obtained from the client, leaving them unaware of the results of their exams; 4- Scheduling of unsolicited appointments.
The telephone service is a disgrace. Very slow.
Your app is awful!! It's impossible to access, and when you do log in, you end up talking to your virtual assistant, which is another disaster!! I can't even book a simple appointment.
the profesional medical service is good but reception service. very bad I took a number and, waited. for an hour at the main reception, asked. several times why my number had not been called,. they said it would be call… soon.. an hour later I asked again, and they said it was on another floor had to wait another hour there.
First-class 5-star hospital
I would like to talk about the Lusíadas Hospital app. I had the app working before, but I forgot my password. I followed the steps to recover it, but it gives an error. I already asked for help at the Lusíadas Braga… reception desk, and the attendant couldn't help either. I have been avoiding your services and using the Trofa Hospital, whose app works very well. I don't know who to contact to activate the app. That's why I decided to write. I hope for help. Thank you.
Nobody answers the phone. I called the billing department and I've been on hold for 2 hours and 45 minutes. It's shameful. Only their time is valuable, ours is worth ZERO. While I was writing this text, they hung up.… THEY ARE WORTHLESS.
This hospital shows a complete lack of concern for its clients. They change appointment dates due to hospital needs without bothering to check if there are other scheduled exams on the same day and reschedule them so… both can be done on the same day. They claim that because it's a claim, they have to contact the insurance company, but the patient having to travel from another city twice isn't a problem since they have nothing better to do with their lives. I understand this in a public hospital, but in a private one it's absurd.
Completely disappointed. They don't meet deadlines for releasing test results. The call center answers but then you can't get through to the departments. Total disorganization.
I had spinal surgery with Professor Rui Duarte. Excellent professional. The best. I only regret that there is still no inpatient unit.
The telephone service is terrible!!!!! Put an operator to answer the calls. Don't make us waste time and end up giving up.
Poorly professional telephone customer service.
The available phone number connects to a robot that cannot handle the information provided. It's a terrible solution. I do not recommend it.
The service at the hospital was very good, but the phone service was impossible. The virtual assistant didn't understand anything, and we couldn't complete any of our requests.
Terrible service, especially from the doctor João Ferreira Ribeiro, an hour's wait in the emergency room. I do not recommend the hospital.
