I will say that attending the clinic has helped save my life. The caring staff and attending meetings 4 days a week is wonderful and I know I'm not alone. I am fighting for my life after losing 6 children. I thank… everyone for helping me on my journey to recovery.

This establishment is truly wonderful! It is exceptionally clean, and the staff members are incredibly friendly. Chris, my counselor, has been extraordinarily helpful with all of my needs. Additionally, they offer group… sessions on most days of the week, with varying topics, should that be of interest to you. Overall, I am extremely pleased with this facility and have nothing but positive remarks to share.

If you told me a year ago I’d be leaving a glowing review for a methadone clinic, I probably would’ve laughed… but here we are. Lake County Methadone Clinic has honestly been a game changer for me. The place itself is… clean, welcoming, and surprisingly comforting—definitely not the cold, clinical vibe you might expect. And for $50 a week self-pay, it’s accessible in a way that actually makes recovery feel possible. But what really makes this place stand out is the people. Steve, my counselor, is one of those rare humans who just gets it. He greets me like a person—not a label, not a past mistake—and that makes a bigger difference than I can even explain. He genuinely cares about his clients and treats everyone with fairness, respect, and compassion. You can tell it’s not just a job to him. And then there’s Eberley, who somehow manages to bring a smile into every interaction. She’s kind, genuine, and consistently warm—like a little spark of positivity that you didn’t know you needed that day. Recovery isn’t easy, and it’s definitely not always pretty—but having a place like this, with people like them, makes the road feel a whole lot less heavy. If you’re serious about getting clean from heroin and want a place that treats you like a human being while you do it, I can’t recommend this clinic enough.

Find another place they will not work with you if your leaving town or whatnot they will let you withdrawal when it's important not to they don't care. The director should be fired!!!

I've been coming to lake county center for 3 years. My counselor is very helpful. The clinic is always clean the staff is very courteous and knowledgeable.

Lake County methadone clinic has helped me out tremendously. I have managed to stay sober. The staff is great and they genuinely care about keeping people off of drugs or illegal drugs. I should say but I have managed… to say sober for months on end so I thank you and I thank the staff and I gave them a five star rating.

This place has helped me going through the struggle of fentanyl and perc withdraw I forgot my first counselor but got switched to a counselor named Mitch when he started working here I didn't like him I wanted a new… counselor but Mitch told me if I wanted a new counselor I can find a new clinic and goodluck restarting at 10 mg...So I was stuck couldn't change counselors or locations but he ended up growing on me.. months passed Mitch left...I got a new counselor named David and he's been great, kind, caring, and very respectful, all in all even with the "drama" I have received an enormous amount of help from everyone working here

Bertell, david, and Hillary have all been great and helped me out on a number of occasions. I would recommend this place.

My counselor Chris with extensive experience in this field of work helped me set my pace of treatment that is working great. She is always standing behind me w support and she… will firmly stand in front of me when I need protection! I will not be switching from here until my journey is over!

I have been going to this clinic for several years now and Chris is one of the best counselors by far. No shade at the others but honestly she is the one counselor I've had that actually reaches out to me. She is… friendly and understanding.

Excellent clinic... I live an hour away in WI and my local clinic refused me take home doses for almost a year because of THC. Even though I only use the legal delta-8 vapes bought at smoke shops! In other words I was… still considered "dirty" even though I had completely quit opioids and all illegal drug use! It got so frustrating being treated like a current user when I had been "clean" for months! I found this clinic and they took me right away at a fraction of the price as well ( $50 vs $140 a week). They were also able to review my drug screening history from the Racine clinic and immediately let me take home doses! Finally I am treated with respect and recognized as "CLEAN"! This clinic is highly recommended!!! P.s. Also the next most recent review about them not taking someone for living far away or whatever is obviously not true! Infact, they don't even ask where you live or for how long you intend to be a patient there. Furthermore, the intake only costs $50 and that covers the next whole week of doses.
