Such friendly staff! From admin to therapists to prescribers!

Red Flag during first call/questions about the practice They do not take insurance (and are therefore out of network). They would not disclose their intake fee amount, but instead repeatedly asked for my insurance card.… If the provider does not take insurance, there is NO ethical reason for them to ask for my insurance information. When I questioned this and received pushback, I immediately identified myself as an insurance auditor to make it clear that I didn’t need help with calculations of my out of pocket costs. The intake staff member doubled down and still requested it. The only reason a provider who does not take insurance would ask for your insurance card is if they want to pick and choose what they charge for each patient individually. This is only okay if they had different contracts/fee schedules/agreements with different insurance plans. But since they do not take insurance at all, this is illegal and violates several consumer protection statutes and regulations. Lengthy edit in response to the Company’s response: I was fully transparent and explicitly identified myself as an insurance regulator. I provided the specific details of my out-of-network benefits and requested the initial intake fee. To clarify a basic insurance standard: If Lifeback is NOT in network with ANY insurance companies, Lifeback is not “accepting” out of network insurance plans. That is an oxymoron. As long as a diagnostic or CPT code is covered by my insurance plan, I can submit out-of-network claims on my own behalf for reimbursement. Lifeback is merely accepting the highest form of payment they can secure for services. If the patient has out of network benefits, the Company seemingly waits to see which option yields a higher payout—the patient’s out-of-network reimbursement or the self-pay rate—and dictates their pricing offers based on those numbers. The patient should decide if they want to self-pay, NOT the provider. The fact that the Executive Director responded to this specific review, obviously for damage control, even further validates my point. They have not responded to other negative reviews regarding billing practices. My advice to Lifeback: Train your intake staff on compliance involving consumer protection laws and ethical medical billing practices. Finding a mental health provider is already difficult enough without having to navigate predatory billing practices too. My advice to prospective patients: Never rely on a provider to give you accurate information regarding your insurance coverage (multiple reviews highlight this exact issue). Instead, request all potential billing/CPT codes for the services you need from the provider and contact your insurance company directly to verify coverage and understand your own out-of-network benefits (and get everything in writing).

The therapists here are amazing! Each one has their own way of listening and helping. I recommend them to anyone who needs to talk to someone or going through a rough patch in life

DO NOT GO HERE. They do not care about patients, only money. Check your explanation of benefits to see how shady it is the amount the bill your insurance for an hour. Their therapists leave frequently and the doctors… schedule 3-month follow ups but then the company will drop you after 2. then you must do the whole intake process again! Worst experience if you are trying to get your life back

I would recommend this place to anyone! They really helped my child and I don't know what I would have done without them! From the intake process to our current therapy schedule, Ashley went above and beyond to ensure… that my child was taken care of! 10/10 recommend!

Excellent experience. Very warm and welcoming environment. Willing to make appointments to fit my schedule. My therapist is very skilled.

My son went here for therapy and things were great in the beginning. Recently, the therapist felt like a more intense program was needed and they referred us to an intensive outpatient program at High Focus. After a… couple weeks there, the program wasn't making any difference, but more importantly we had a medical concern that we were not able to come to an agreement on how to address. We pulled my son after 2 weeks and figured we would return to LifeBack where we felt they would guide us toward our next steps in this journey. Instead, they said they couldn't provide us any care and wished us well. The problem is, we needed help with medication management and finding a replacement therapy option. We had no idea my son would be left without these critical resources. This is unprofessional, unethical and dangerous. It is no wonder there is a mental health crisis when the providers can so easily just dismiss patients without a proper handoff of their care!

This place is amazing! Chelsea Jenkins and Cindy Kozicki are two of the most dedicated and caring individuals that we have ever met. These women go above and beyond to assist their clients. I highly recommend Lifeback… and either of these two amazing women. Thank you both for all you have done and continue to do for my family!
