About QuIHN Sunshine Coast – Maroochydore
QuIHN’s Sunshine Coast office in Maroochydore offers free, confidential alcohol and other drug counselling and case management, run by the Queensland Injectors Health Network. Adults, and the family, friends and carers around them, can make contact directly, and no referral is needed before the first appointment.
Counselling covers dual diagnosis, so co-occurring mental health concerns can be addressed alongside substance use. Group work at the Aerodrome Road site includes the Nuts & Bolts relapse prevention and harm reduction group, Foundations for Change, and the Treehouse parenting group, while an eight-week group known as MAISE is listed for Nambour and asks for a prior assessment by a case manager, support worker or counsellor. The service opens on weekdays and lists only limited after-hours availability.

QuIHN Sunshine Coast Counselling Services
QuIHN Sunshine Coast provides outpatient counselling as its single level of care, delivered one to one and in groups at the Maroochydore office. Case management sits alongside the counselling, and the team works with dual diagnosis as well as with family members, friends and carers affected by someone else’s substance use.
Therapies the service lists are individual counselling, group therapy, relapse prevention and family therapy. Relapse prevention and harm reduction are the focus of the Nuts & Bolts group, Foundations for Change runs as a change-focused group, and the Treehouse group works with parents. No withdrawal service or medication prescribing is listed for this office, so ask the counselling team which service picks up those parts of treatment.

QuIHN Sunshine Coast Reviews
Reviews of QuIHN Sunshine Coast from around the web are limited, which is common for free, government-funded counselling offices that work quietly within a larger health organisation. RehabSeekers hosts reviews for this service, and anyone who has attended the Maroochydore office is welcome to share their experience.
A first-hand account would help you or someone you care about picture the practical side: how quickly the counselling team made contact, what the first session covered, and how the Nuts & Bolts or Treehouse groups felt to walk into. Notes from family members and carers who used the support offered to them would be just as useful.
Friendly helpful advice and service
It was my first time with Kylie but I think it went really well with help and support.

Great support team here. Helping me to find me my full potential.
Quihn is the go to place for clean injecting equipment. Whatever reason you're using the equipment for, whether legal or illegal, there are no questions, no judgement, no cost They also provide information on vein care… & general information on your drug of choice. They also provide Hep C screening & access to Hep C treatment via qualified medical staff. Drug counselors are also on staff if you're ready & wanting to change your lifestyle. As I said before there's no judgement, just 100% support.
Awsome
God bless these people.
Quinn is an amazing agency that not only offers free equipment for safe injecting, but also offers advice, group work, courses and counselling in every area relating to drug use, harm minimization, relapse prevention… and so much more. They have a lot of brochures and reading materials with information about every type of drug, illness and disease relating to drug use. Quihn offers free bread at least 3 days per week and free frozen meals. If a team member is unable to assist with your enquiry, they will do whatever they can to find and refer you to a relevant service which can help you. The staff are friendly down to earth people who work their jobs with a genuine passion to offer support and help. If you or a loved one needs help, I could not recommend an agency more. 5 stars well deserved.
