I was at Remedy for 3 months, the standard amount of time in most cases, starting at the beginning of January, 2026. Remedy is a residential and no B.S facility so there are limits set in place such as no phones (just… sometimes calls), no sharp objects, close monitoring always, and movement limitations. It is a beautiful place, but recovery is never comfortable no matter where it is at its hardest! With that being said, Remedy was the best option that I can imagine looking back because it provided isolation for me to begin to focus on myself again and reflect. The views are beautiful! Weight recovery is oriented to be manageable and the staff there overall have a passion for their jobs! I’ve met amazing people along the way and have learned a lot from their groups. I think the best thing that helped me recover was having others around me who understood and were also struggling. A lot of the patients that are admitted to Remedy also struggle with alcohol abuse and so weekly Alcoholics Anonymous Zooms/meetings happen. Josh is great at coordinating helpful resources and fun bonding opportunities. I enjoyed the crafts that we did there, dog therapy days, yoga once a week and tye dying!
The staff, environment and my own personal healing journey all proved to be an amazing experience at Remedy Therapy, but most amazing is the staff and the community at Remedy. They are all so knowledgable, compassionate… and committed to each individual patient who comes through their doors. Everyone I was blessed to interact with was incredibly caring and supportive. My therapist helped me address the root causes of my struggles rather than just treating the surface symptoms. The group sessions were practical, interactive and taught me a great deal. I am also so thankful for all of the healthy habits and routines I adopted, with staff encouragement and support, while I was at Remedy. The facility itself is well-maintained , set in an ideal location and provided a peaceful space to allow me to focus on healing. I also worked with my therapist to ensure I had a solid, realistic aftercare plan that I was confident in following after I completed my treatment at Remedy. I left Remedy this week with a lot of new coping skills in my toolbox, many amazing support people and a genuine hope for a bright future. I cannot thank the team at Remedy enough.
This is a great place! Great staff and even better residents, I’ve made some amazing friends here and grown a lot. We spend a lot of time outside, amazing view we’re right on the water:) empowering groups and lots of… activities to do and enjoy! There’s karaoke, diamond art, gel polish, corn hole, tie dye, talent showers, making bracelets, doing crafts and if you’re lucky one of the girls when know how to do hair. Say hi to Josh for me:)
Remedy therapy saved me in so many ways I am enjoying life again and I have myself back! Josh, Savannah, Cheryl, David and so many of the techs left such a lasting impression on me. It is a wonderful hidden little gem… and a paradise for recovery.
I live in New Jersey and Im not really sure how I found this place but God helped me. He opened all these doors for me and I packed my bags and got on a flight. I am so beyond happy I came here. This place has given me… another chance at life. Staff members Josh, David, and Savannah helped me get through this. I came not being able to eat a single thing and getting tubed to being able to eat three snacks a day and three meals a day. I feel absolutely amazing now and can’t thank this place enough. I have changed into a completely different person and matured so much. I have found a new way of life and living. Thank you remedy for all that you did for me. Also thank you to all the nurses that took great care of me!
Remedy therapy was so helpful in my recovery journey. The team and support was phenomenal.. really helpful in the long run. It’s a hard program as any ED facility would be but it truly changed my life for the better. I… would recommend it to anyone needing extra support in their food journey!
As a mom of 5 and this being my first experience- my decision on where to go for treatment was huge. I knew coming here was right for me based off one tour. Whitney was very helpful during my intake process, always… checking in with me. I’m grateful for the healthy and abundant life I now get to live because of the work I did here and the space they allowed me to feel comfortable in. Supported by wonderful therapists, BHT team, and friends I’ve made for life from the community. Shoutouts to Laura, Lori, Cheryl, David, Josh, Joanna, Kirsten, Tanesia, Jessica, Lachey, Dymond, Adrianna, Chantel, Loucy, all 3 chefs and more I’m most likely forgetting. Grateful is an understatement.

Thank you Remedy family!!!! Thank you Courtney for all of your support and guidance!!! Thank you Josh for always bringing a smile and words of wisdom and our meetings. Thank you Danielle and Savannah for being such… great therapists and role models!!! I couldn't have made it to this point in my recovery without you. Thank you to all of the staff and Chef Shaun. Thank you Hope for getting me to eat soup again!!
Remedy is a place full of clinicians and staff that truly care. It's such a gift to be cared for by a dietitian, therapist, a PA, such friendly nurses, Josh (come and you'll find out how kind he is), and hardworking… behavioral techs. It is beautiful right on the water. Yoga with Rea and Sound Therapy with Dakota and craft/art times offer a nice variety. Group therapy sessions are so valuable in dispelling shame. We accept each other even with all our flaws. I love the groups when someone shares their lifestory! Chefs Shaun and Hope are truly gifted. This is no run of the mill catered food. I loved their soups and eggplant wrap! If your life has become unmanageable, there is hope. I'm on a train heading home now so thankful that I found Remedy. You will be too. Try it!
I've been to multiple eating disorder treatment centers and in my experience, Remedy is a great one. Beautiful and right off the water, and you can actually have outside time. The staff is great, Diamond, Kim, Erica,… Josh, Joana, Kirstin, Patty, all of the therapists (shout out to Cheryl), and more. They treat you like people, not just patients. The chefs, Sean and Hope, make a delicious variety of meals. Remedy gave me a place to really reflect on myself and find things I didn't even realize I wanted to work on. Informative groups and more, they give you chances to explore yourself and have fun. Ex: Karaoke, Tie Dye, and even a pool on the weekends. I made many strong connections here and have some great memories. Thank you Remedy for putting up with me :)
I had a horrible experience at remedy therapy. In order to get me there the recruitment individuals told lies. They told me I would have my phone and computer access. They told me I could talk to my family every day… when in reality I could only talk to one or two people three times a week for about 20 minutes. I never got access to my phone or laptop. There are more patients than there is capacity for, the one nurse that’s on staff and the generally two medical tax that oversee or monitor the patients. In the worst heat of Florida we were made to stay outside. We were allowed very limited room time. They kept all of our personal items I even had to request to check out my hair dryer. They refused to let me AMA so I had to escape one night after stealing back my wallet and passport so that I could leave. They entertained the conversation, but they delayed and delayed and delayed. I gained no weight while I was at this facility since I’ve been home back in the care of my doctor, a nutritionist and a therapist I have gained 4 pounds. Do not send young women to this place. They gaslight and manipulate. I’m fortunate that at age 52. I was able to plan and get out for my own good Health. Do not send your daughters here. HIPPA violations and human rights violations. Staff made fun of patients openly, antagonized already high energy situations. The only people worth their salt there are Ms. Patty, Diamond and Lashae.
I needed this place so badly. I came to Remedy seeking treatment primarily for addiction and although I was desperate to recover I was skeptical at first that the focus would be entirely on ED. Luckily, that was not the… case. Being here allowed me to get to the root of so many destructive patterns and traumas, and I felt safe and supported throughout by the whole team and my peers. There were many rules that I had to get used to but a lot of my discomfort in that area stemmed from my own restless spirit. Once I let go things got so much easier. I treated my 55 days as a sabbatical and dove into the work I needed to do for ME. My therapist Maxine was so kind and had a great sense of humor, which I really appreciated because I needed to make a lot of jokes in session to balance out all the heavy trauma work and depression! But I got so much out of my system and I feel mentally restored. Thank you Maxine!! :)
This is the first eating disorder facility I have ever been too and I recovered in two month’s. I definitely recommend remedy, all the staff, medical, clinical, dietary, the cleaning crew, and even the activities… director all has so much passion, love, and genuine care for each and every patient individually. I’ve made so many life long friends and gained my life back on top of it all I gained my life back.
I am beyond thankful for the support I got through Remedy. The experience I had here completely changed my life. It gave me so much hope for the future and saved me from my ED. The entire staff was very professional and… were able to make the community feel like a family. I really got to know a lot of the staff, building friendships and a support team that really helped me through my recovery. They created an environment that allowed me to enjoy my life while facing one of the toughest battles I will ever endure. I especially want to thank my therapist Savannah and dietician Angeli. The entire staff, the nurses, the technicians, and the other therapists and dieticians were so professional and helped me not only recover from my eating disorder but grow as a person. I especially want to thank the Chef Hope and Chef Sean for making amazing food and catering to everyone’s needs. The whole staff works so hard to make this experience education, enjoyable, and fun. I also want to thank Josh for all the fun activities like movie nights and tie-dye. I am beyond grateful for this experience and to get my life back:)
I came to Remedy as a last ditch effort in hopes that I could keep myself from losing everything that I worked so hard for in recovery. When I first came in they gave me the space to get adjusted and rested like I… needed as well as the medical care that I required. I’m incredibly thankful to the nurses, techs and clinical staff that have worked round the clock tending to my needs as well as teaching me I can ask for attention I want or need instead of using behaviors to get my needs met. I think the hardest pill to swallow ultimately is knowing no one else will be able to save me and that I am the only person who can consistently show up for myself. Here I have all the support and guidance to be able to learn to take care of myself. Shout out to Savvy Girl for teaching me how to feel my emotions especially the ones that hurt. I know I have meant so much to my care team including all staff and it has been so impactful the effort everyone here has put in! Thanks Kim! Thank you Erica!Thank you to the dieticians! Angelie I’m not sure how to spell your name girl! Much love to you! Thank you Laura for always keeping it fun and letting us find trinkets most days! Thanks Joshy Poo and Jenny Winnie and Court and Dani girl! Thanks Stephy K and thanks for the pens hehe, thanks Kiersten, I’m so excited for future headstands!!! And Especially thank you Brookie!! I see you!! Love yall so so much!!!! Get ready to see me shine!! So thankful for me getting my personality back!!!
I spent several weeks at Remedy Center for Eating Disorders, and overall the structure did not work well for me as someone who is neurodivergent with ARFID. While there were some positive aspects, my experience… highlighted some significant gaps in care—particularly for individuals with more complex or nuanced presentations. One of the biggest challenges was that the program often felt stretched thin. There were many patients in acute medical or mental health crises, which understandably required immediate attention, but it meant that others—including myself—sometimes didn’t receive the level of individualized support we needed. At times, it felt like care was reactive rather than proactive. I was also surprised by the number of repeat admissions. It raised questions for me about how effectively the program is supporting long-term recovery, especially for those with co-occurring conditions or who don’t fit a more traditional eating disorder profile. To be fair, it wasn’t all negative. There were staff members who genuinely cared and moments where I felt supported. However, the overall structure and approach didn’t feel well-suited for neurodivergent individuals or those with ARFID, where flexibility, accommodation, and specialized understanding are critical. I think this center may be more appropriate for individuals with a dual SUD/ED diagnosis or those needing a higher level of acute stabilization. But for people like me, who require more tailored, neurodivergent-affirming care, it may not be the best fit.
Remedy has completely changed my life. My therapist Danielle and dietitian Amanda have been the most encouraging supportive people I’ve ever had my whole life. One bite at a time they have helped me gain my life back.… They showed me that food is not the enemy. It is the very thing keeping me alive. David, Josh, Joanna, Steph, Courtney, Jen, Mrs Patty and Mrs Kim are all people who have loved me and supported me unconditionally. I never thought recovery was possible for me and this group of people who I now consider family gave me the tools and education I needed to not only survive but also live. I give Remedy all the credit I possibly can. I trusted this place with my life and they gave it back to me. Thank you Remedy.
This is an amazing program, I feel so grateful to have spent time here. My treatment team was so supportive, Amanda and Laura are incredible and I got to do so much meaningful work with them. There are so many amazing… technicians and nurses—Jo’Anna, Jessica, Brittany, Jam, Ms. Kim, Ms. Patti to name a few—and I always felt seen and cared for. The staff and other patients I met at Remedy have truly changed my life and left a special impact on me that I will carry forward. I have grown and changed so much during my time here and I feel confident in stepping down to the next part of my treatment. Thank you Remedy for everything!🤍
I’ve been to multiple well known ED residentials but remedy takes the “cake”. They are truly flexible and individualized. I was there for almost 4 months and they were with me every step of the way. Their new location… is fabulous and like a resort. Danielle is a gem of a clinical director. All staff were super involved and really care about your recovery. Many staff also have lived experience and that I believe is irreplaceable. I am also a clinician so I have high standards for therapeutic encounters and I must say all the therapists (especially David) have incredible knowledge and experience. Thank you Remedy for all you’ve done. (LB)
This place has helped me a lot in the time I spent there. The staff is so kind and helps in every way they can. It works if you work it!!!
Dietitian violated HIPPA by accidentally screensharing a staff Teams conversation about me. Refused me more food for my entire first week. Cameras everywhere. On my first day, another client purged in the open in a… random trash can. Another client threw out her food and staff didn't notice. Three vape breaks a day, minimum. They wouldn't help me set up admission with a different program when I decided to leave, which is evil; I simply thought somewhere else would be a better fit, and was treated terribly for it. When I called my mom to get me a flight home, I wasn't allowed any privacy to talk to her. When I discharged, no one gave me my hair fryer, which had been locked up. They gave me my belongings at the last minute so I didn't realize it was missing. I have even more horror stories about this place, and I was here for 48 hours. Probably a great facility if you struggle with boyh substance abuse and an ED, but reconsider if you are looking to recover in a normal, homey environment, are young and do not struggle with substance abuse, and if you want to have tbe right to private conversations with family and friends.
Fantastic program. I felt at home and at peace since the day I came in. The staff will go out of your way to help you. Josh, Steph, and Amanda have been such an inspiration. They pay attention to your needs. I had an… amazing experience.
Remedy therapy has been amazing to me. They really care. they have the most caring staff out of all the residentials ive been to. if youre really struggling give this place a shot i highly doubt theyll let you down.… goodluck
Fantastic program! Very professional and their whole team works with the common goal to help every client live a better life!
