THE STAFF NEED IT THOUGH TO REFRESH IN ORDER TO DEAL WITH US LOL This is my… first time using this methadone. I was very scared but Star center has made it as pleasant as this can be. The staff by far is the reason this place thrives they really do care about you ❤️ they are there with you every step they take the time to explain everything your about to go through and they are always there for you if you need them. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to every one at star center. Keep doing a fantastic job. You truly are angels.

One of the better clinics around. The only thing is the lab they send the urine too after we have to take a drug test which is once a week has gotten my drug screens wrong. Which if I was forced to go there through… court I would be in big trouble. It has come through many times saying I am positive for certain drugs when I'm not doing them. And when I needed a dose increase the dr wouldn't do it and for no reason.

The staff is mostly excellent with the exception of one very important person: The Doctor. This guy is the absolute worst. His knowledge and understanding of Methadone Maintenance Therapy leaves much to be desired. He… has little to zero knowledge of very basic dosage titration schedules and he is not open to making any sort of simple accommodations on an individual basis. It's a sharp "NO", no matter what you are asking for. Literally every other clinic I've ever been to has been happy to make small accommodations if it is determined to be necessary. This doctor won't even let you state your case. His bedside manner is absolutely atrocious. When you are simply trying to stabilize on a dosage amount that enables you to live a stable life and you would like an increase, he will treat you as if you are simply trying to get a buzz. As addicts we feel enough shame on a day to day basis. This doctor chooses to pile on even more instead of listening to you. Fighting Opioid Use Disorder is a battle that simply can not be won alone. The rest of the staff at Star Center is an excellent group of people to have in your corner. Unfortunately, the doctor's lack of understanding and empathy completely negates the rest of their efforts to help you get clean. It's truly a shame. I'll make it clear one more time, the rest of the staff at Star Center is absolutely fantastic. But if you're trying to decide which clinic to go to, stay away from this one.

This is the worst Clinic I ever been too the staff treat you like a criminal The Doctor is rude opinionated. And has not 1 oz of bedside manners. He Should not be dealing with the public. Especially people that are… emotionally distraught. Already from trying to beat heroin and opiates. All he manages to do is stress people out to the point where they want to go get high. I don't get it . I've been there for over a year. I've never dropped a dirty urine. And yet I only get 1 take holme. What's wrong with that picture? I don't. Recommend anybody go there unless you want to be more stressed out than you already are. !!!!

Worst experience I've ever had.. unfortunately I have been treated as if every single thing I have ever said was a complete lie ... I went there for help and was shown the door while being treated like I'm not a person… who needed help and it was literally from the Top to the bottom... meaning owner all the way down to the counselor .... some instances I was literally more knowledgeable about certain aspects then the cruel cruel cruel Doctor ... my time there has affected me greatly and I have suffered tremendous losses and I pray that no one ever endures the pain and suffering I experienced

This is the best methadone clinic in Detroit hands down! If you're there to get clean, and do what you're supposed to do the staff will treat you like gold. I actually have the best counselor and therapist I have ever… had in my life here. Service is very fast , very very low wait times when I go at 7:00 a.m. Like any Clinic if you're screwing around you're going to have problems with the nurses, they have to take a no-nonsense approach, but they are very good people and if you treat them with respect you will get respect in return I guarantee it

Love this place! They are beyond amazing, the staff is and always has been so helpful, caring, encouraging, resourceful, patient and mostly understanding...etc. They go above and beyond, I have been going here since… 10/04/2018 to present, and I've had a couple of bumps in the roads along the way, but each and every time I get back into Star, they welcome me back with open arms, love & of course always with respect. I've been to other clinics, and I will never go to another clinic if I don't HAVE too. I guarantee you won't regret it! ♡

I tried calling today for a family in need who has been there before. The guy on the phone was rude and did not help at all. I work in healthcare and would never speak to anyone like that. This is a medical facility for… people in need. I think you all need sensitivity training or to get a new job.

Very kind, professional and friendly staff. Im from ny and landed here on vacation for the 4th of july, guest dosing was a breeze. Thank you as I can continue on my road to recovery while still living my life thanks to… places like this!

Very normal treatment so far since the State will not let Dr's help patients anymore.They admit benzos are in about a high level of opiate users but then refuse to help us now. I have been on methadone mostly from 19 to… 36 years old. Only when they Dr.s are willing to hold someone on a proper dose have I lived a good life. I am not getting that here sadly and was told a benzo detox takes 4-5 days That is very hurtful to a patient on an unknown asked amount of legal benzos very similar to lorazepam. It took a famous Dr. Jordan Peterson and another famous person on Joe Rogan mention the wean process if done right takes 1-2 years in MOST patients. So when you here you cannot get help with methadone until your off those benzos in a quick 4 days its an impossible depression. The benzos came in to beat the needle. That was mission #1 and now no Dr will help.

The person on the phone is completely rude! I told him I was recently in Michigan went to Illinois and am now coming back to Michigan and he was being sceptical I was just trying to find a new place to dose at! Won’t… get my buisness!

I am having a wonderful experience and outcome. The staff are very friendly polite and helpful. The clinic is clean I would recommend star center to anyone who wants help getting their life back on track....

Good clinic. Has it's share of issues but what clinic doesn't.

So far this clinic has been great, the staff is super friendly, and they treat you like a human, and not just a junkie like alot of other clinics.the doctor keeps me informed on everything I need to know, so far this is… a great place for people like me!
