Wisconsin Community Services Inc – Milwaukee Detox and Rehab Services

Wisconsin Community Services Inc – Milwaukee runs intensive outpatient and outpatient care. Structured outpatient runs to a schedule while people return home in the evening. Establishing what happens after the program ends is worth doing early. Ask how the program handles someone who has been through treatment before.

Both conditions are treated in parallel, which is what the research supports. Medication-assisted treatment combines approved medication with counseling and clinical review. Waiting times vary, so it is worth asking at the first call. Confirm what a program covers before committing to it.

I had a housing specialist who lied , manipulated, and wanted to move into my place and take over my lease with an affidavit. Affidavits don't work in my situation. Telling my Peer Specialist who works at WCS and who… told her Supervisor that was angry about all this I ended up telling his Supervisor. What will happen, probably nothing. If he continues to help people, then I feel sorry for them. You are not safe.

Case manager met twice, only asked how I was doing both times never asked what resources I needed or anything. Then "tim" my wcs worker never once offered resources. I needed transportation and asked a week in advance… and kept reminding him and he picked up a newer client in the same facility and drove him 30mins out of town and I had the client to remind him and he did and still forgot about me and was late to dr. Then I asked for therapy resources and was told to go to another resident in the facility for information. To top it off he started to show up with card games while 3 of his clients including myself explained we weren't interested and would rather get in touch with resources and he says "well not today " and brags he is getting paid to play card games. So that means people's taxes are paying for this man to avoid helping his clients and play card games. So finally I called the cars department and asked for a different worker and she spoke to her supervisor and was given the contact the director who over sees wcs and was told to explain my situation. Next day my worker showed up to intimidate me and talk down about "sirona recovery " who does the same thing just less clients per worker. But while speaking to my worker "tim" he kept saying "well what are you doing for yourself, are you looking up places to get therapy" "it's not my job to find you places, I can take you to places" i reminded him he forgot about me and lied right to my face saying I told him the wrong date. I've had him for 2 months and not once was given any resources or given anything but a 10 minute ride to an appointment he made me late too. Ive spoken to others and you may have to change to a different worker until you get one who will actually help you out and not just take you on to grow their case load to make more money. I'm dropping my worker and going to "sirona recovery " I suggest others to do the same. Atleasst then you'll be treated like you and your time matters and provide you with resources unlike "wcs" they haven't done anything for me in 2 months of having a worker. Pics are all a front all talk no help.

I have been involved with this program since approximately 1989 and watch this agency go from 10 to 0 in admin their mission. My son originally referred to agency for mental health program and later mental health and… drug addiction not only did the programs dwindle but service of the employees has also. I made a complaint to main office I was assured someone would look into my complaint and get back to me. That was about a year ago. However now I'm dealing with another incident with my son and there agency, they don't put the client first with a number of things.

5 managers 90+ daily calls, home visits, UA tests. Order ended 10/22. Lawyer "No order free w/right to refuse WCS & all mental health services & meds." *I tried to date to no avail. Ask release told "I'd know I'm… discharged. In office for discharged. Or discharge call. *Yet to happen. * #s blocked my call no call received 10/22 though the end of 12/22 *01/23 no deposit. SSA "No info w/o your payee present *Primary care provider (I've never met) & another contacted SSA stated homeless they payee." For record my home on file since intake living same residence. Was own payee 10+yrs. Asked WCS how payee w/o my consent knowledge against my will. Never a reply. No help for residency. Not properly helping w/any need. *Told take meds. Asked for supervisor. 1st guard *"The supervisor not meeting you. Leave premises off property you banned not taking meds. Call cops you return!" Next day new office *1st guard violated space in face. *"What do you want!? I AM the supervisor! I'm not scared of you! Your short too what makes you better!? Get out my face! Through w/your sh!+! I'm through sh!++in around! I'm ex military!" Terrified me! 2nd guard new days. "I been in 2 fights at WCS so far! You lucky im on the clock! Im a street N- catch me 27th Burleigh!" WCS staff why I fear outside scared I'd be harmed w/meds at WCS. In office get no payee info w/threats of force if I don't leave not taking meds. I call sent to voice mail w/no call back nor another answer the entire day. I ask deny check to SSA they won't. 02/23 I'm now told payee for my families safety differing from homeless. I must sign for check I get roughly 11 days later for only $200! I ask evaluation to no avail. I'm told they my payee I have to deal w/them meds or not. Scheduled meeting at SSA was told get letter from WCS for payee back. WCS yet to comply. I have no appointments I get no calls the supervisor is now my case manager as well to date. I need help out of Wisconsin Community Services!
