Casa de Saúde do Bom Jesus treats drug dependence and alcoholism within its inpatient units and runs a consultation for addictive behaviours and dependencies that also addresses dependence on internet-connected devices, social media and online gaming. Treatment combines psychopharmacological, psychological and psychotherapeutic, medical, systemic and social-rehabilitation interventions, adjusted to the severity of the problem and any physical or psychiatric comorbidities.

Beyond addiction, the hospital offers outpatient consultations, short-, medium- and long-stay inpatient care, internal residential units for psychosocial rehabilitation, community residential rehabilitation and home support for psychiatry, psychogeriatrics and dementia. Ambulatory interventions include electroconvulsive therapy, cognitive rehabilitation, computerised cognitive training and cognitive stimulation, supported by clinical psychology, neuropsychological assessment, occupational therapy, physical medicine and nutrition. The Unidade Sócio-Ocupacional Bento Menni, part of the national mental health continuing care network, offers occupational therapy, psychology, social work and sociocultural animation to adults with mild to moderate disability arising from mental illness.
