Poor management at this facility has created a very unsafe environment for both patients and staff. The owner's canned response means nothing. They have no interest in "learning" about any reported concerns.

I was here almost 2 months ago, the staff were really nice and kinda handled some situations really good, although the person who was in charge of letting me out wasn't doing a great job and some other patients agree.… Overall the food is nice kinda, the showers are something ok depending on room, staff are sweet as sugar

I am deciding at this moment to focus on the future, rather than dwell on my inpatient experience at this hospital. The behavior of your staff on pod Juniper, particularly RN Crystal, was dominating, belittling, and… demoralizing. The man who conducted my intake on May 6, 2024 at 9pm also left a negative impression. If you would like more information, feel free to contact me. I am willing to share my experiences. I have seven children, including triplets, and work part-time for a great company. I am fortunate to have excellent health insurance and a supportive husband, family, and coworkers. Despite my blessed and wonderful life, I recently went through a mental breakdown. I never expected to experience this in my lifetime. As a result of this experience, I began praying every night, focusing solely on the positive memories I had from here. However, the negatives outweigh the positives. Nevertheless, it has made me stronger. It is essential to provide training and education to your staff in order to improve their ability to care for patients with empathy and compassion. Staff should be instructed to follow the patient's treatment plan, and to understand that this work can be extremely challenging. Your support and encouragement are crucial in maintaining the staff's sense of pride in their job. Take the time to listen to their concerns and address any complaints they may have. Regardless of your title, whether CEO or otherwise, you have the power and chance to transform this place into something incredible despite the chaos caused by patients. Show support for your staff! The way you treat them directly impacts the experience of the patients. *UPDATE - I submitted all needed information to further communicate. Website closed and didn’t work 5 times. Help me today, file a written statement to Az Medical Board. I just wanna say thank you to everyone here! I came after a failed suicide attempt put me in the ER and it was just what I needed! Staff are helpful and friendly, security measures are taken, and everything is picture… perfect! I was worried about how being trans in an all boys unit would be, but everyone was respectful and kind! At one point I was even offered to go to a co-ed unit instead but I had already made so many friends I didn't wanna transfer. I'm vegetarian and substitutes were ALWAYS provided (The impossible tenders are to die for) and the kitchen staff even asked what I liked best so they could make it more often for me. I had a few down moments there and staffers were very helpful in processing and being there for you! Especially Ms.Randi, absolutely amazing human being. God truly is one of us. Other amazing human beings like Nurse V, Destiny, Erica, Jess, Jackie, Michael, and Amanda. Love you all! It was a pleasure to be under your care! I even met my boyfriend here, so all in all a healing experience. There's courtyard time, indoor basketball courts, cafeterias. day rooms, rec therapy, and more to keep you occupied and healing. I truly cannot wait to start the next chapter of my life, thank you all so much! Only complaint is with how tiresome it is to get shaving approved, like as someone who was there for SH I understand why but it was still very annoying. You have to ask the doctor who's only there in the morning who has to do a meeting to get it approved, and someone has to watch you shave. After that I thought I was in the clear, and asked again a few days later, turns out you need an approval and meeting EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. So I asked the doctor to put one in again because dysphoria isn't helpful when trying to heal, and he never put it in and was unable to before I left. That and they fail to keep the staff safe, kids jump the nurses station all the time by hopping the window when that could be prevented by a single bar horizontally across over the top, but no one does anything so the staff have to be constantly vigilant and keeping their workspace safe from a bunch of rowdy teenagers. Also some of the rooms don't have toilet seats, shower curtains or bathroom doors, which is not ideal obviously.

This is a horrible facility. Staff are rude and it’s not helpful. They are unprofessional and wrongly petitioned me because I tried to sign out AMA.

i went here recently and was assaulted by a staff member named ms.blessing i was then took out AMA they refused my medications they refused to fire the staff member and to keep my parents updated about what would happen… then continued to bring her on my unit around me as she would watch me in my sleep after the incident took place which is why i got taken out AMA im now a grown adult and i’m trending around az with my music career and i will forever advise people to never come here they also have no cameras where they keep the in-patient kids just horrible.

The woman that did my intake was atrocious, if not for her I would be giving 4 or 5 stars because all the other staff was AMAZING at inpatient. TO be clear, I am speaking for the inpatient facility. The outpatient… program could be called a joke but that would be an insult to jokes. Outpatient is horrible. I would recommend inpatient but keep in mind the person that does intake is horrific. ALL and I mean ALL of the other staff members were absolutely incredible, especially Taeylor she was spectacular and is the embodiment of care and professionalism

Sister in law was here for SI and it is genuinely the worst place ever. I have never heard one good thing about the nurses. Being here gave her more trauma than comfort. She was sexually harassed and it was overall… unsanitary. She was here voluntarily and after hearing that we wanted to pull her out. When we showed up they said they couldn’t get her out today because it was AMA. This place just soaks the money out people by keeping them here as long as they can. The communication is terrible and most of the time all the phones are hogged. It looks like a prison from the inside.

If I could give negative stars I would, this place is just horrible. The security needs to be fired for sleeping on the job and staff overall needs more training on handling themselves better during stressful… situations. Last week an incident broke out where someone was able to bring a firearm into the establishment because of the lack of security and safety for the individuals here. They failed to notify any and all families with loved ones in their care. Please don’t trust them with anything especially the need to get better. Until something is done I will personally keep an eye on this place.

The only reason this is a one star is because I am unable to give it a zero star rating as a former patient of this hospital around a year ago. If you plan on trying to give your child having suicidal ideation or… anything that I'd mental crisis do not send them to this facility. The start of my visit was where it started. They sent me to a unit named cholla, this unit had NAILS hanging out of the wall at all times of the day and multiple people were using them to make either a weapon or something to harm yourself. They were also letting most staff walk around giving kids weed and nicotine. When I was having a mental break down this lady took me into one of the rooms just one on one which is not supposed to happen when its female and male for obvious reasons and was flirting with me telling me how when her contract is done she's gonna let me call her and come pick me up. They let her work a week after I reported it and still let her be my 1:1. If you want to help your kid refrain from sending them to this hell hole.

As a parent, I would not recommend Oasis Behavioral Health for adolescent care. Our experience there was deeply disturbing and added unnecessary trauma during an already critical mental health crisis. Communication was… one of the biggest issues. It was extremely difficult to get clear updates, and communication with my child was inconsistent and limited. As a parent trying to navigate a psychiatric crisis with a minor, the lack of transparency and responsiveness made an already overwhelming situation significantly worse. I was also deeply disturbed by how vulnerable my daughter was made to feel during her stay. She was left in thin, see-through scrubs without a bra and repeatedly expressed to staff how uncomfortable and exposed this made her feel. She voiced that discomfort multiple times and felt ignored. For a minor in a psychiatric setting, basic dignity, privacy, and emotional safety should be a minimum standard of care, and that was not our experience. The environment felt chaotic, poorly managed, and emotionally unsafe. I understand facilities like this often care for high-acuity patients and difficult situations, but staff should still be held to a professional standard in how vulnerable patients—especially minors—are treated. Within four hours, I felt so uncomfortable with the environment and level of care that I returned to the facility and signed my daughter out AMA because I no longer felt she was safe there. The overall approach felt far more focused on containment and behavior management than actual emotional support or individualized care. My daughter left feeling more distressed than supported, which was deeply concerning. After transferring to another facility, the difference in communication, responsiveness, emotional support, and overall quality of care was immediate and significant. When families are trusting a facility with a vulnerable child in crisis, communication, dignity, compassion, and appropriate therapeutic care should be the standard. That was not our experience at Oasis.

I'm so grateful to everyone at the Oasis Behavioral Health facility who were there for my son when he really needed help. Everyone was so present and supportive, and made such a difference in our journey for care - they… helped him to come out of a crisis situation and find placement for the longer term assistance he needed. I can't thank them all enough - everyone I spoke with was kind, caring, thoughtful, and followed through. We were very blessed to be led to them.

Both my sons have been her twice. Out of all the facilities my boys have had to stay this is by far my favorite. The nurse calls every day with updates. My sons hate this but they have to wear monitors which I… personally appreciate it. They have ponies and dogs that come in for the kids to hang out with. I like that you can visit almost everyday aside from Sunday. The staff here are lovely and they seem to truly care about how the children are doing.
