The ASAP program was absolutely life changing for us, my husband and I thought it was so beneficial. It helped us get through a really tough time and gave us tools to better navigate a situation we never dreamed we… would be in. Our daughter came out of a 30 day residential treatment program into ASAP, it was exactly the accountability she needed to stay the course to becoming clean and staying clean. The therapists were really great and the tools and content taught in the program were a game changer for us. ASAP definitely enlightened us on boundaries and the ways we were enabling some of the behaviors unintentionally, we are so grateful for that. While she might never admit it helped save her life, we know it did.

Aurora Behavioral and the adolescent communities thank ASAP for the years of having such a robust Intensive Outpatient Program for adolescents and providing support for their families. Your team has been a critical… partner with Aurora and setting up adolescents for their success. We value our continued partnership and look forward to serving those in need. Thank you, ASAP, for all you do!

ASAP has been in business for a very long time for a reason. They take care and choosing their employees, and the program is managed very well. Many kids have come through this program, and many parents and kids have… been helped The program has 10 weeks a d a different topic every week, so both parents and kids can learn something each week. They also have a parent night, which is particularly helpful. I recommend this program 10/10

As a parent, you never want to be in the situation where you have to find a substance abuse treatment program for your child. I checked out several programs in the valley and felt strongly that the ASAP program was the… right fit. Was my child happy about it? NO. Would he have preferred some of the other “enthusiastic sobriety” programs out there? Yes. However it wasn’t about what he wanted, it was about what he NEEDED, and THIS is the program he needed. It was not all sunshine and rainbows along the way, but he completed and graduated from the ASAP program clean AND sober. And I even think he ended up enjoying it. We are a month out and he still hasn’t used and has even stopped vaping nicotine. Thank you ASAP!

ASAP is a great program with amazing staff. This program has been around for 30 years and the expertise demonstrated by the staff shows. They are knowledgeable, caring, kind, firm, and professional. Throughout this 10… week intensive program teens and parents have the opportunity to build skills in communication, relapse prevention, accountability, and many more. By having the parents involved in the process they get the support that they need from parents and teens in similar situations as well as developing a strong parent/child relationship. The changes I have seen in teens as well as parents and family relationships have been amazing. The staff encourages teens to give feedback to parents and teens alike to promote the sharing of different perspectives and challenge maladaptive behaviors or thought patterns. This program really works, you get what you put into it so if you are actively participating and communicating with staff you will pick up great skills and see tremendous changes.

A huge THANK YOU! to the ASAP team for their amazing work and dedication. Friendly and professional staff all around. They really want what is best for you and your family and are there to help as much as they can and… do all they can to get you any/all the help and information you need. I was definitely not excited we had to be apart of this experience but am so glad we were directed here and had this team as a part of our story/journey. Thank you again!

The ASAP program and the staff are truly incredible. The structure of the program, with a family therapy night and two teen nights, provides peer to peer advice and accountability as well as support for families. It’s… the staff, though, that are exceptional, especially in the way they lovingly but firmly challenge the teens and their perceptions. The way they bring up topics and help teens and families work through distinctions between being clean and being sober, family dynamics, grief and loss, etc. are truly stellar. This program helped my daughter climb out of a dark, deep hole and provided the space for healing and trust to take root for us all.

This program absolutely saved my daughters life. Not only did I learn a lot from the parent meetings but my daughter loved what she learned from it and was helping other adolescents in the class while she was there. She… completed her class and loved it so much that she is now enrolled in college to be a counselor for adolescents who suffer from substance abuse. I highly recommend this program and Tyler and his staff were absolutely AMAZING!

ASAP is a great opportunity for teens and parents to learn more about substance use and how this has impacted their individual and family relationships. Throughout the 10 week intensive outpatient program teens are able… to develop skills, such as, communication, conflict resolution and relapse prevention. Parents are also involved weekly, which helps them work together and develop a stronger family connection. All work is done in a therapeutic group setting which allows the teens and parents to feel supported and understood. The staff is amazing, always professional and flexible. The changes that I saw with teens and parents was awesome! Family connections were strengthened throughout this program. Parents are able to receive the support they need from other parents that are facing similar challenges. This program is a wonderful opportunity to learn, grow and develop. ASAP is amazing and all of the staff is fully invested in helping teens and their parents develop a safe, loving and healthy way to live. ASAP really works, I have seen it and it is amazing to see the positive changes in teens, parents and in family relationships!

I highly recommend ASAP for teens that are suffering from substance abuse issues. Not only do they help teens learn new, healthy coping skills but they also work with the entire family system to help the family unit… heal. The staff at ASAP is top notch and they truly care about the work that they are doing and the families that they interact with.

ASAP is the intensive outpatient program that we used for our son after trying other programs, none of which were as effective. ASAP provided accountability, education and awareness to our teen, as well as us, his… parents. Getting all the family involved is key to the way ASAP works; they believe it is essential that the family be part of the teens recovery. Through the use of behavior contracts ASAP brings parents and teens together to rebuild the family dynamic by providing structure and accountability; this structure helps families navigate the challenges of a teens recovery. We learned much about ourselves and our son, and the lessons learned we will carry with us into the future. Our son graduated ASAP several months ago and he is still doing well, making good decisions, and our home life as been stable, which is a blessing.

ASAP is a wonderful Intensive Outpatient Program which works to educate and heal teens with substance issues and their parents as well as enabling them to work better together through the struggle of addiction. I have… seen this program in action and am blessed to have been part of the ASAP team several years ago, and can only emphasize how valuable and educational an experience this can be for families going through the fight of their lives to help their teens get back on track with healthy living. Dr. Curtis Walling leads a solid team who understand how to serve and guide those who are lost and not sure how to work through the cycle of addiction and the denial which comes along with it.

This program is amazing and really works! It was our last hope before sending our son to an out of state residential facility. Not only did our son learn a great deal from the other teens and the staff, but it also… opened our eyes as parents as to why teens turn to drugs and where we went wrong. The change in 10 weeks is real!!

ASAP is an invaluable program for kids struggling with drugs and alcohol. As a psychotherapist, I have worked with many kids who have participated in the ASAP program and I consistently hear how ASAP was a safe haven… where they felt supported and encouraged to create positive change. Kids say ASAP taught them life skills and coping strategies that changed their life and put them on a positive path. Dr. Walling and the ASAP staff are so supportive and effective at assisting the most challenging of situations. I send my clients to ASAP often and fully trust the ASAP program and staff. If you have a child struggling with drugs or alcohol, this is the program that can help. I highly recommend ASAP!

ASAP helped our son and our family tremendously. I was Leary if the teen group setting at first but now that my son has graduated I can confidently say it is effective. Other teens were able to reach (and teach) him… more than any adult could have. The knowledge we gained from staff and homework is invaluable.

I highly recommend ASAP for anyone under the age of 18 that is in need of help. I work in the field myself and was at one point a client of ASAP in 2004. Dr Walling and his team do a fine job and have more experience… than anyone else working with adolescents and teens. two thumbs up.

Dr. Walling and his staff were incredible in addressing the needs of our family. Their program was highly effective in addressing our son’s substance use and gave him taught him the coping skills to remain successful… following graduation from the program. The counselors were supportive but challenged our son to address his use head on. The program also allowed his mother and I to talk with and learn from other parents and families. The program also provides an opportunity for parents discuss and learn from their experiences. Thank you for being there when we needed you.

When we discovered our son had a substance problem, we weren't sure what to do. We are very fortunate to have been referred to this program. The difference they have made in our son is just amazing. Even though he did… not want to go in the beginning, he completed the program and ended up graduating. Our son has made great strides and is armed with skills to help him life with decisions and potential problems. These skills can be used for many scenarios, not just those relating to substance. The staff at the Mesa site were incredibly caring about the kids, while not allowing the teens to pull anything over on them. They held the kids, and the parents, accountable and taught everyone how to communicate and cope. We have our son back and this program is a part of that.

I hated to leave...my son and I learned so much and he became much more accountable for his actions. Having other families to talk to about our family issues was a relief and at times emotional. But all I can say is… follow the program and make your contract ASAP! Don't give up!

I cannot thank God enough for leading me to ASAP. I work with teenagers everyday but to know what to do for my own daughter, I was at a complete loss. Why ASAP? I believe group, for both the parents and the teen, is… irreplaceable. On my first night I learned from the counselors, and more importantly from the other parents. The teens even give great insight! My daughter’s journey to being sober has just begun as I know this is a lifelong process. The foundation for success has been set. My daughter has gained so much knowledge to stay sober. She started the program as an angry drug using teen that "didn't have a problem". I have learned ways to help her through this process. Without finding ASAP, I’m afraid to think where my daughter could be right now. The communication, tools and eye-opening experiences have been a life changer. Ten weeks later my daughter has a completely different mindset about drugs, her former using [friends], and staying sober. You’d think after ten weeks my daughter would be so glad group is over. Well, as she graduates from the program it’s bitter sweet. Neither of us want it to end, but on the other hand, we are so glad to know she has an amazing start to a life of sobriety thanks to ASAP.

I will be forever grateful for Dr. Walling, Dr. Davis, and their dedicated staff. My family was in an emergency situation with my struggling teen, as I'm sure most are that are seeking a program like ASAP, we received… quick response and entry into the program. Dr. Walling has had endless patience with my questions and as the Director picks up the phone and responds to emails with lightening speed. I received not only advice but solid direction with how to help my child. During her first time thru ASAP things got worse and Dr. Walling was quick to refer me to another facility where she received amazing care. Upon her return home she went right back to ASAP for step down care where she successfully completed the ASAP program and received validation and kudos from the team that really bolstered her self confidence. The team at ASAP really cares - they took interest in our entire family and the family nights were powerful for all of us. It is obvious this is more than a "job" to the team - it is a passion and they are dedicated to your teen and your family's success. We tried a few different programs around town before finding ASAP and ASAP is the only one I'm willing to put my name on a recommendation for. If there was a 10 star option I'd be selecting it.

This is a first-rate program that has been around a long time. My high-schooler recently graduated and is doing great. ASAP was on our insurance. They use protocols to make sure it is a safe place physically and… emotionally for the kids and families. Everyone we encountered (Shea location) was professional and extraordinarily kind. Thank you Dr. Davis, MaryAnn, and your terrific interns.

We are so grateful for this program. We felt like we were losing our daughter to drugs and were so frightened when we started. Individual and family therapy was not making a difference, so we came to ASAP. Their program… works. The interaction and support with other teens and families and the caring staff made such a difference. Their model is based on decades of experience and they know how to relate to teens. Nothing gets by the staff - they have seen it all. My daughter did not want to be there at first. She did not think she had a problem and had no interest in being clean. By the end, she realized she wanted to be clean and we have become very close as a family. We can actually talk about things and are open and honest with each other now. She is thankful for the program just as much as her dad and I are.

Amazing program for teens and parents. My daughter has had many emotional and medical issues in the past few years and we have tried many different types of counseling and therapies. Her drug use and suicide attempt was… the last straw that brought us to the ASAP program. I am so grateful to team at ASAP for the support and direction they have given my daughter and I through the past sessions, that I wish it would not end at session 30. At first I was hesitant about a drug program for my daughter thinking that was not the main issue with us, but through the weeks and family meetings we have grown tremendously with their guidance and coping skills. They hold both kids and parents accountable while giving positive life skill tools to continue on a successful road. The staff is honest, caring and truly wants success for your teens and you. I highly recommend this program to get you and your teen back on an emotionally healthy road of sober, peaceful living. Thank you to all at ASAP!

Our son was slowly spiraling out of control with continued drug use, withdrawal from the family along with disrespect, and no interest in school at all. This program changed ALL of that. The philosophy and values of the… program were on par with ours and our expectations. Our son of course was resistant, but after attending a few sessions, slowly opened up to the process. The teen sessions helped our son deal with issues he was having at school, home and with substances. The family nights focused on all of us; problems that we were having as a family and helping to create solutions for our son and US! We started to look forward to group, as a cathartic outlet along with the help it provided in improving our communication with our son. We could tell our son benefited from the teen group sessions as well, he came home from these feeling positive, and confident. The change in our son and our family life is wonderful, and we would recommend this program to others in the same situation! It is a 10 week program and the process does take time, so don't look for quick fixes after a few sessions. Be patient, and the outcomes can be amazing! Thanks to the ASAP program and all of the amazing counselors!!

Great counsellors and peer support was provided for our son. I liked the fact that parents joined therapy one night per week. Family dynamics and learning how to hold your child accountable is crucial. They helped us design a family contract. Great group!
