How Much Does Treatment at Southwest Behavioral Health Services Cost?

Rehab costs in Arizona without insurance usually run between $1,750 and $5,600 for a week of medical detox and between $1,500 and $5,000 a month for standard outpatient care. That is the typical state cost. Southwest Behavioral Health Services’ own prices were not found when this listing was written.

It is reasonable to expect medical monitoring, the intake assessment, group therapy and individual counseling within the cost. It is less safe to assume that CBT, EMDR or medication are included. Contact Southwest Behavioral Health Services and ask what is included before budgeting.

I absolutely loved the help I received from Oralia, the Director of Southwest Behavioral Health, today. She was kind, patient, understanding, and truly took the time to listen to me. I felt heard, respected, and… understood, and I’m very grateful for her help. I highly recommend speaking with Oralia if you’re experiencing any issues or need someone who will genuinely listen and understand. I also want to recognize Jennifer Kurr, one of the best psychiatrists at Southwest Behavioral Health. I have been seeing her for over five years, and she has always been wonderful. I highly recommend her as well!

If I could give zero stars, I would. At first, this place was great and they were very good about communicating with us. Unfortunately, after being there for about a year and a half, our experience has changed… drastically. I have been calling repeatedly to get my son’s medication refilled, and this is a serious matter because without his medication, I have seen a significant change in his behavior and overall well-being. I have been calling every single day trying to get answers, and I am repeatedly told that someone will call me back. I have yet to receive a call or an email. I understand that places can be busy, but when it comes to mental health and medication, I feel like these concerns should be taken seriously and handled with urgency. Having to constantly call just to get a response is extremely frustrating and, in my opinion, very unprofessional.

This is the second time they’ve messed up my appointments; they just apologize by saying the specific staff member I was scheduled with isn't there—what kind of joke is that? I called earlier today before heading over,… and they confirmed my appointment was set. I read that this same problem has been going on for years. It’s terrible.

Unfortunately you can't rate zero or negative stars BUT SW behavioral absolutely deserves them Gross incompetence from front staff, NO ONE can tell you the correct time for appointments OR providers I have been here… with my daughter THREE TIMES in THREE WEEKS for ONE appointment that has STILL not happened 'We are sorry, its tomorrow' Except I called this morning and CONFIRMED it for today!! Absolutely ridiculous, unprofessional and they can't speak unbroken English, which is unfortunate as you work for healthcare and you're working with CHILDREN. They get -3 stars from me, one for each wasted trip with my child.

This place has failed my friend twice now, when she is clearly autistic. They refuse to give her a diagnosis and she was told that she could bring a person who knows her best and understands autism. After I waited in… the lobby patiently like he asked, the supposed specialist doctor Audi lied to me when he said he'd let me in the room before the session ended, yet he abruptly ended the session, rudely avoiding me as he hid behind "time constraints". These people aren't "specialists", they're automatons with a clipboard. My friend left crying and despondent, not knowing what to do next. This is a total disgrace to behavioral health practices. I hope it gets thoroughly investigated for malpractice.

Help for Mental Health is already horrible in Az, let alone you jump through hoops when your over income and not on state aid, or no one accepts the insurance your employer provides you finally find a therapist and they… cancel on you both times same day, Destiny Dubal-Smith has done so twice, after spending hours on the phone dealing with mess ups, miscommunications to keep my child from harming themselves and making sure they have the support they need to only be treated like my kids life doesn't matter. I am beyond tired and stressed and for families like mine there is no help, even when you go to the resources that are supposed to "help" they fall short.

I’ve been coming to Southwest Behavioral & Health Services for the past 5 years and I’m very happy and satisfied with this place! I have Autism and I have never had anyone here treat me poorly, unkindly or like I’m a… bother or burden, unlike other places I’ve gone to before that only seem to care about their bottom line. One of the best experiences I’ve ever had with ANY medical professional has been with Dr. Ramses. Dr. Ramses is very kind, professional, understanding and knowledgeable. He actually cares. He takes the time to listen to me, and explain the possible options and medication for my condition and treatment. I truly feel like I’m in good hands with him and so are you!

Not happy at all. My son is diagnosed level 2 autistic. Had a therapist come and do an evaluation for ABA therapy but told he dont meet the criteria but that I can attend classes on how to help him. Then I thought I… will give this place another try and hopefully get him some kind of services. I was told now that they dont have any ABA services due to staffing. So why make me go thru this long process and hour long intakes only to be told this. I could have gone somewhere else and not been fed BS. I love the generic response to a bad review when they are called out on their less than satisfactory services.

They took 45 days to return my call about insurance verification. Then they scheduled the wrong type of appointment. The doctor told me he was confused as to why I was even there. He wasn't even the doctor I was… referred to. But they still billed my insurance for $500 for the few minutes he spent explaining the confusion and error of my appointment. That is fraud.

This is primarily a medicaid service facility; and as such, you'll get what you expect. And with the amount of repetitive paperwork and meetings, they might as well be the DMV.

I wouldn’t give it any stars I had a call yesterday’s from Elizabeth stating that there was no therapist available for my son I literally called on 2/22 set up an appt for the 29th I let them know my sons situation they… said they were able to help I went to the intake took to a little more than 2 hours I wasted my time being there…..the intake person should of known supposibly there was no therapist and even set a psychological evaluation for the 11am and for them to call me yesterday 3/5 to tell me there weren’t going to be any sessions for my son this company is a freaking fake trying to make ACCCHS pay for the intake but I AM GOING TO FILE A COMPLAINT NONE OF THIS IS RIGHT! They should have said something before making kind of appts I wasted every minute when I was able to look for another place for my son this is no company they don’t help they are scams!!!!

Have tried contacting multiple times immediately at 8am to schedule appointments. Even when I dial IMMEDIATELY RIGHT AT 8AM INTERNET-SYNCHED TIME, I still end up sitting for several minutes hearing a ring-tone after I… finish the wait queue, whereupon I receive a "leave a message the operator is out". So I'm forced to call back because leaving a message won't get me an appointment. Then I call back again and someone magically picks up sooner and says "whoopsies the last appointment JUST filled up." Like what the hell is your guys' problem? There's very few places that do adult autism testing in phoenix that take AHCCCS for whatever reason. I'm doing exactly as you say and it feels like you're trying to avoid getting me scheduled. Please get a better scheduling service or get your phone lines fixed. Why is it such a lottery every morning to try and get scheduled? I just want to get my testing done because I have no one to help me in life and need testing to see if I can get help from a caretaker. But at this rate it could take the whole YEAR as it's a total crapshoot even if you call immediately, because of the aforementioned reasons. If you have other options for testing please pick somewhere else so the rest of us, who have no other options, can get an appointment scheduled! Please! Also fix your phone system so it doesn't send us to a voice mail when we KNOW you're open and taking calls! I could've gotten scheduled if you hadn't dropped me like that.

They do not care about their patients. Receptionist was not very compassionate and very dull. Called to get a new patient appointment and they only have so many so you have to call in and try to get an appointment… before they fill up. I called got the “last appointment “ however when they went to run my insurance their system was down so she said they couldn’t hold the spot I have to just hang up and try again . It’s a ridiculous system they have .

Just a bit of advice when trying to be seen here: If you have extenuating circumstances, ask to speak to a supervisor or manager. I spent weeks/months trying to get my dad, who has late stage Lewy Body dementia an… appointment. They have bizarre rules, and I had to overcome hurdle after hurdle trying to get him an appointment. I got so frustrated that I gave up and finally asked for a supervisor. I had to wait ~30 minutes on hold, but she was able to help once I fully explained the situation.
