Guiding Road has a special place in my heart. From the moment I got there, everyone made me feel like I was a part of their family. A family that cares, doesn’t give up on one another and genuinely wants to see you grow… as a man, a husband, and as a father. The all male setting, structured clinical assignments, and group work really allowed for me to dive into myself in a safe space where there is no judgement, just love and compassion so I could heal and become the man I’m supposed to be. The staff are incredibly supportive, energetic and passionate about what they do which made it easy for me to go all in with them. For someone who was hesitant to enter treatment for the first time to begin with, I honestly could not have been more fortunate to have Mark and his team in my corner.

From the very first phone call, the experience has been exceptional . The staff’s commitment was obvious from day one — they didn’t just check boxes, they actually cared. The facility itself is clean, calm, and… well-run, which made a hard process feel manageable. I would highly recommend Guiding Road Recovery Center to anyone wanting to get sober.

My name is Jimmy Hamlin and I have suffered from addiction to drugs and alcohol for 25 years. It wasn’t until June 15 of this year that my wife found mark north and guiding road recovery center. Guiding road is not like… any recovery center I have ever been too, the loving care from mark and his staff is so genuine and the love they have for us is truely remarkable. You’re treated like a human and not just a number. The true passion they have for helping men obtain sobriety is like nothing I have ever seen or heard about. Mark north and guiding road recovery saved my marriage and my life.

Guiding Road Recovery Center provides a safe, welcoming, and highly supportive environment. The staff truly cares about everyone who walks through the door and goes above and beyond to offer guidance. I highly recommend… them to anyone looking for a dedicated and compassionate team. If you are a parent looking for a trusted place to help your child heal, I strongly recommend Guiding Road Recovery. They gave our family hope again, and we cannot thank them enough. Thank you Mark for giving my son continued support in his recovery journey. We also want to thank everyone on the team for the support from the bottom of our hearts.

With the rise of drug use and the need for better mental health facilities in the United States comes a need for top tier facilities people can rely on. Guiding Road is one of those places that offers some of the best… rehabilitation services that can be found in the country. Located in the beautiful state of Arizona, GR offers a full clinical center, in house therapy, case management and housing for the clients needs. Guiding Road and their holistic approach uses AA (Alcoholics Anonymous) as its foundational tool for treatment and is owned by Mark North Jr., Directed by Bobby Boykin and Managed by Alexander Jimenez, who all have experienced first hand what addiction can do to addicts and their families. As a former and current client I fully recommend Guiding Road as it’s where the real work started for me and moving forward I can now share my own Experience, Strength and Hope. We do Recover. Guiding Road Recovery Center has been nothing short of amazing. The staff is compassionate, and genuinely cares about every person who comes through their doors. The environment is extremely welcoming, and the program… is well structured. I appreciated the personal trainer they brought in everyday, and the different classes they offer that help promote personal growth and build healthy routines during recovery. Not to mention the house itself is amazing. I am forever thankful for all of their support and tools they have given me during my recovery journey. Absolutely would recommend.

Staff and fellowship here is amazing! Couldn't imagine a better place to get the help that I've needed for so long! They feed you well, get your body tight, and connect you with a new found spirituality you never knew… you needed. Mark north is a level 10 lobster who will bend over backwards to get you where you should be in life! I never met a man like Mark who cares so much about his people! Me! You! We, are his people!

Guiding Road somehow manages to feel both peaceful and like the staff lovingly refuse to let you get away with your own nonsense…in the best way possible. The facility is beautiful, comfortable, and welcoming, but the… real magic is the people there. They genuinely care about your sobriety, your growth, and making sure you don’t just “get through” recovery, but actually build a life you want to stay sober for…12/10 would recommend.

I got the chance to come tour Guiding Road and listen to a presentation workshop put on by a strong group of men in recovery from North Dakota. The first thing I felt was the authenticity and love that the staff showed.… Their facility was the nicest I've ever seen at their level of care and the team was all in recovery and practiced a program. Top notch substance abuse treatment here in Scottsdale/Phoenix!

Not only did this place get me sober it continued to help me stay sober to this day. The staff is amazing and everything you’d hope for in a treatment center. They also offer great outpatient treatment that really helps… you adapt to normal life again. Not to mention a very charismatic handyman Jared.

As a guy who’s been a treatment multiple times I am well qualified to attest to a strong addiction treatment program. I opted for the full continuum of care that they offered, both in patient and IOP. The staff and… facilities were top notch and the clinicians had walked the same journey which made them relatable and trustworthy! The meeting we attended weren’t your “average” plug in the jug blah blah meetings I was used to, they gave me hope and inspired me to push forward! I found a new life at Guiding Road!

The team at Guiding Road is truly special. Young men come here and leave as stronger, better individuals—and families are restored in the process. What they’re doing goes far beyond helping people get sober; they’re… helping individuals build lives rooted in purpose, fulfillment, and growth. Having a relationship with their team has been a genuine blessing in my life. I’m deeply grateful for the impact they’re making, not just on individuals, but on the community as a whole.

Our son recently completed two months at Guiding Road Recovery, and we truly cannot say enough wonderful things about this exceptional facility. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the beautiful clinic and… classrooms, as well as the warm, welcoming residential home where our son received care and support during his recovery. The home itself is located in a lovely neighborhood and is thoughtfully maintained and decorated, creating a peaceful and comfortable environment for healing. The meals were nutritious and our son even gained about 50 pounds, which he genuinely needed. It was reassuring to know he was being so well cared for, both physically and emotionally. We first heard about Guiding Road through our son’s friend, Alex, who spoke very highly of the program. After learning more, we discovered that the clinic and residential home are owned and operated by someone who has personally walked the path of recovery. When we met Mark, the owner, and heard his story, his philosophy, and his deep understanding of addiction, we immediately felt confident this was the right place for our son. Although our son did not have insurance, Mark was incredibly compassionate and worked with us financially, for which we are deeply grateful. His hands-on involvement, both at the clinic and in the residential home, made a profound difference. His insight, encouragement, and personal experience gave our son, and our entire family hope. After completing the program, our son has transitioned into sober living and is now employed. We are so proud of his progress and incredibly thankful for the foundation Guiding Road helped him build. We extend our sincere gratitude to Alex for pointing us in the right direction, and especially to Mark for giving our son this opportunity and for continuing to support him on his recovery journey. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts

Coming from some one who’s been in out of detoxes and treatment centers one third of my life. I can truly say that Guiding Road was truly and ultimately a life changing experience! The entire staff all have very… extensive back grounds in recovery and each genuinely care about every client and would take the shirts off their back and shoes off their feet for us if need be. That being said, they went and go above and beyond in every aspect. Especially first in making sure that every client feels safe, welcome and extremely comfortable! Living in a house fit for a king, with all the food we could eat! As well as being able to enjoy other great amenties/entertainment the house and GR have to offer, outings, pool, multiple movie, relaxation/game rooms, sauna, full gyms etc! They made sure to always go well out of their way and help us take care to handle any and all case management debacles if necessary. Legal, financial, family, medical, work/fmla, among other things. They work promptly, personably and diligently to get as much done for every client as possible. GRs clinical and therapeutic programming are top notch! With a heavy focus/emphasis on teaching, working and implementing the 12 Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous, better preparing us to become better men and eventually helping the next alcoholic or addict who still suffers. So if your done burning your life to the ground and are willing to do the work, take suggestions, and have some fun in the process. GR will use their vast network of resource/influence to help rebuild your life, as well as regain what was lost. All the while helping you develop a fellowship of genuine connections/relationships with others, (and or repair them!) Lastly and most importantly, getting you plugged into the world network of solid recovery. I would highly recommend this program to anyone serious about having and attaining lifelong sobriety.. For as they did me, they will do everything in their power to ensure your absolute success and help you transition into a life you eventually couldn’t of thought possible!! *Insert corny AA cliches here* “To have something you’ve never had you have to do something you’ve never done” “We do all the things we DONT wanna do but then in turn, receive the results we cannot deny!” “It works if you work it, so work it, cuz your worth it!” ;) -Jaime Rivera signing off 🫡

I came to guiding road completely broken. I was a total slave to my addiction/depression and had no answers. I don’t even think I wanted answers upon my arrival. I just knew something had to change. Slowly but surely… after working this program I realized just how much I had to live for and offer to the world. The group of guys I have met at/through guiding road are going to be my best friends for the rest of my life. I am forever grateful for this program and recommend anyone who’s struggling with the issues I was, to give them the opportunity to save your life as well. This place/people involved wanted nothing else other than to set me up for success in all avenues of life. I am so appreciative. I wouldn’t be here without the help of guiding road recovery center.

I was recommended Guiding Road recovery center from my Sponsor in 2025. He thought it would be better experience for me because they were all male and we’re really 12 step focused. I’m so grateful that he made that… suggestion and then I got the opportunity to become alumni at their facility. Yeah, I’ve been to treatment too many times. I admit it was my own actions that caused my relapse And it was certainly preventable had I’ve done the work. Guiding Road things were different than My previous experiences. They take a holistic approach to a drug addiction and alcoholism. Mind, body & spirit. The mind is easy to address through the wonderful clinicians and engaging groups. The facility is laid out in such a way that no The same there’s separate areas that make each group feel unique and eliminates the boredom that I felt in previous experiences or that that feeling of every day is just a repeat of the previous. They bring him phenomenal outside speakers and Take us to some of the coolest meetings I’ve ever been to. I grew passionate about recovery while being there. The body they address through Coach Carl and the personal trainer they have on staff. They have full gyms both at the house and at the clinic where clients have almost 24 hour access. Finally, the spirit “leg” Of their holistic approach…. The owner and his wife take the clients that wish to go to church services every Monday evening and take them to dinner before the service. They attend CCB church here in Phoenix, which is a large church, but the message is always tight and powerful. They also have their clients work with sponsors that can relate on every level. I became me again at Guiding Road recovery center and if you are a loved one Treatment please give them a call and see if you’re a good fit for their program.

Words can't honestly describe the change that I experienced while a client at Guiding Road. I came in a broken man, full of fear and desperate for relief. I was referred by my attorney back in Michigan to come to… Guiding Road and he spoke of how their team works hand in hand with his office to mitigate my case. I'd been to treatment in the Midwest over 20 times and was skeptical at best that my lifelong alcoholism and drug addiction could actually be treated. Their whole team over delivered and I stand today a free man and back with my family, SOBER! Thank you to their amazing clinical team and programming that allowed me to be myself and also feel a part of for the first time since I was a child.
