Curry Senior Center – San Francisco Reviews and Ratings
Have you or a loved one been treated at Curry Senior Center? A few lines about admissions, the staff and what happened after treatment ended can help another family in San Francisco weigh the same choice.
I was used as a short term funding source for Curry. I found housing myself while disabled and with recent heart failure diagnosis… I went out alone and secured housing in less than a week but Curry Literally refused to… assist in helping with a deposit as they said they would… they straight out lied to me! And left me with nothing after spending all the time helping me , which really consisted of them setting up their chagrined for my services. No services rendered and 6 months later Inreceive a “bill” from CA to pay these people who used me to fund their center first and help me as a distant second goal… ANYWAY, CURRY DID APPARENTLY HELP THEMSELVES! Beware if you don’t want to face a bill for no services after Curry has already sacrificed your safety and health so they can continue to get aid!
I love this spacious place with various events for older people like me; it has an elevator and delicious food.
I would like to inform everyone of the outstanding services I have received at the curry senior center by my therapist, Diana Plitt. I have had therapy sessions with her over the last six months, during this period she… has been working conscientiously. She was always thorough and she showed a lot of empathy. Specifically, on one occasion when I received two consecutive lease violation notices from my building management, which I perceived as laying the foundation for my eviction, I was going through a very bad anxiety which resulted in panic attacks. I contacted her and informed her of that. She acted very professionally and contacted me momentarily and talked to me and gave a bunch of advice for dealing with the dilemma which I found very helpful. Only then did I find out she really cares about her clients wellbeing. She also added that I could always contact her on the phone or through email if my condition worsens and she will do whatever it takes to get me through this. Her kindly and super nice disposition is very healing. Thank you very much for being so cautious about placing the very best condition for this position.
+5⭐heaven
I finally found a doctor in San Francisco that knows what they are doing.
They are very friendly and courteous....
Friendly place . Many activities . Healthy food .
A bit of a hidden oasis in the Tenderloin, it is a calm and clean place in the middle of... Unclean stuff. Lots of programs and help for seniors of all ethnicities.
Lunch ,they really pile it on
Took a client there and they were seen at the clinic very quickly and thoroughly. If you are a senior citizen...go and check it out.
Curry provides 2 healthy meals a day seven days for seniors over 60 +++
A new meaning to"non practicing".
Boring. Small in space. Scary elevator. Food smelled good.
This is my regular doctor's office. They are associated with UCSF, and everyone there is really top of the line professional.
WORST DO NOT RECOMMEND! STAFF DOES NOT DO WHAT THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO, MEDICATION NOT PRESCRIBED. LONG HOLD TIMES. TOO MANY TRANSFERS. DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE SENIORS!!!!
Grateful for the best care from reception desk, nurses, lab, Dr. Oberschelp is amazing:)! From the heart thank you:)!!!
They helped me medically when others wouldn't/couldn't.
Medical Clinic provides good and caring medical services, and other services like Mental Health and Social Services are well provided.
Always on point
Curry Senior Center help the senior community
Curry has a "Great Medical Staff", the Doctors really listen to you and pay attention; one of the Doctors told me I was losing my hearing, it was an observation, not one of my complaints - he was RIGHT!!! I now wear… hearing aides. The Center's activities are above average and Curry does try to be inclusive of all Races, National Groups, Cultures, etc. They are still just a little off when it comes to understanding "Cultural Differences" and respecting those "Differences". The Social Services Department is a mix bag of excellent and compassionate Case Managers that do not stay long??!! The Meal Program is provided by Project Open Hand (POH). POH is NOT very Community conscious - POH needs to hire residents of San Francisco to work with Communities in San Francisco - POH does not understand nor does POH respect "Cultural Differences and local Social Mores". POH also does not understand Racial, Generational, Ethnic, and Religious Mores! The present POH staff appears to misunderstand its role at Curry. POH is about MEALS - the food is good. The rest of POH act is in need of a serious Staff Social Education, from the TOP down!!!!!!!!!!!
I had a family member go to see the family doctor, and the staff there were always very helpful and readily available whenever needed.
